Brian Hyland hit no. 1 with "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"
Brian Hyland grew up on Long Island in the 1940s and 1950. He bought a guitar and learned to play it and sing and attended school for performing artists in Manhattan. He knocked on the doors of the offices of the major song writers in NYC and luckily, an opportunity arose. He was asked to record a song about a girl who wore her bikini to the beach for the first time and was afraid to be seen wearing what little of it there was. She got the courage to get on the beach and into the water. That song took Brian to no. 1 and the song was played and sung in every house, school and car in American. Everyone knew his name. From there, he attracted other songs which he recorded that repeatedly took Brian to the top of the charts. Brian talks about his history and his success and shows why he remains in demand on stages throughout the world, even 60 years later.

Brian just keeps getting better and better!!! I loved him in 1963 and still do! He was wonderful then and now has more life experiences to influence his writing and performing!!! This man deserves a lot more attention! His 77th birthday was yesterday! He’s still rockin’!!!🌹
I remember, glad he is doing well. !!!

This is a good interview
Iove the album he did with Del Shannon.
I always used to get embarrassed when my mom would do her backwards wiggle down to her knees doing the back stroke and pinching her nose when this song would come on. I miss her so much.
Hi Tom , i know its long shot but I I have a radio phone in with Brian? We in the UK miss great stars and I have a radio show here..,please reply, Mike Zodiac
Hi Tom. I was looking forward to watching this a few weeks ago only to see it not available. I guess you had mic issues. I really appreciate your interviews and thought I’d try and sort out the sound so I can hear it for myself. I’m not Bryan’s No1 fan, but I adore Sealed With A Kiss and think his fans would love the interview. I’ve uploaded it, unlisted, on my channel for you to copy it and upload. Or you can use the audio on your visual. Kind regards, Khaz
