And then one day a switch is flipped off, and we are instantly back in the Stone Age. Some generations later we have forgotten about our technologically advanced past. This for me, is honestly, wholeheartedly the best piece of music I've ever heard. I explore and listen to almost all genres that we are all familiar with, rock, alternative, emo, hip hop, ambient, shoegaze, dreampop etc... - I love it all, but THIS? Never experienced anything like it. This piece here transcends whatever else I've heard before. I call New Space Music a Saving Grace, if you will. Music which keeps me going, which gets me into a meditative zone immediately and connects me with myself, quickly gets me into a state where I can heal and explore my shadow deeper. This music right here is the still sound of the Universe. There's no music that I've experienced deeper than this. Music wise, this is where it starts and ends for me. Im not sure if I'll ever hear anything better.

And for just a brief period, time stops to let us reminisce the present before it also becomes the past.
The folded dunes at sunset, I woke to the sound of the sea, The ceiling of stars to the car park, The wind, and the sand, but just me, Driving alone in the darkness, the burn of the salt in my hair, The warmth of the day was dying. But the little toy boat was still there.

This is the soundtrack of my mind.
The music embodies a sense of beauty and distance, reminiscent of the sunny days of childhood. At the same time, it also evokes feelings of closeness and something good that exists within us.
I have searched and searched for this, and now I finally have this precious masterpiece back in my life.

I put this album on a half an hour before the eclipse apex. Sublime experience from start to finish. Perfect accompaniment to Celestial Wonder in contemplation of the universe and our place in it
This is the only type of music I can listen to while studying
This piece means a lot to me
Imagining myself in the Nordic mountains all the while listening to this beauty, is pure bliss. It feels so calming.
From his early days with Roxy Music, through Here Come The Warm Jets and Before And After Science, his collaborations with Bowie, Bryne and so many more, thru Ambiant, to god of production, Eno has been at the forefront of so much groundbreaking music. Among the most influential artists of the 20th & 21st centuries. Genius simply doesn’t cover it.

It's so unimaginative to describe musicians presented on youtube as 'genius'. What would you call Shakespeare, Da Vinci or Mozart? The term 'genius' have lost nearly all it's original meaning. It's a sign of cultural poverty.
@johnmcdonnellakacarljunglebhoy

@@Mr.Monta77 That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it, but I beg to differ. I don’t use the term lightly. Unimaginative is an unimaginative insult, but I’ll forgive you. However, I can’t imagine what you gain by jumping in on a thread & comment simply to insult my intelligence. Although, deliberately trying to wind people up does, bizarrely, seem to excite some unimaginative KZread trolls, presumably as an antidote to their intellectual and musical poverty.

I was one of those people who left a comment on the old video sharing my deep thoughts. It's scary that all those stories, thoughts, and sentiments can disappear in the blink of an eye like that. Like ancient books being thrown into a fire. This was probably the first ambience I used as a sleep aid, and I'm so glad it's back on here for my penniless self to listen to, as well as for me to see the other stories people share inspired by it. Peace.

Dude. Imagine a world where all of our knowledge has been digitized and books have long stopped being printed, becoming a collectors item. And then one day a switch is flipped off, and we are instantly back in the Stone Age. Some generations later we have forgotten about our technologically advanced past. Only getting hints of it in our oral traditions and stories. But one day, we will achieve those heights again, only to fall yet again. And the cycle continues on.
