The award couldn't have gone to a nicer man. I'm thick as two short planks of wood however Professor Brian Cox gets his lectures into my head. Just waiting for the well deserved Knighthood to come his way now. If anyone deserves good things its him. Thank you for uploading this.

I love professor's BBC program. The BBC broadcast the highest quality program about the physics. Better thabn USA stuff.

I want to helpfully differ from a point in this introduction, in that I think a major failing point in much of modern social optimization is in trying to maximize the number of excellent people. I like Brian, and the Royal Society, but I also think they can easily and comfortably exist, and with much more health and stability, in an environment where the optimizations are around 1) maximizing the number of people with a minimal or healthful scientific and other academic competence, and 2) maximizing the freedom and opportunities for stable productive position holding by those working to achieve things beyond that minimum. What we lack is not accurate knowledge, but general critical thinking and competent fundamental understanding. Thank you.

The reason diaspora behavior is so vital is because roughly equal dispersal of vital resources like knowledge is vital to sustainability.

I was strongly discouraged, at, home, from furthering my education. beyond GCSE. at 16 I grew up in an world where going to work and bringing home a wage was seen as more appropriate.

When I read the title I new it was from before Brexit... That threw a bit of a spanner in the idea I think. Keeping up with the rest of the world will be difficult enough now. ;)

I admire Brian but he almost is too soft. I would wish he said something about environmental issues, faith etc. perhaps the reason why he’s so popular but we need smart people to stand up for humanity. By all means so at speak

I was100% with Brian until he got politically correct and mentioned ALGORE who is an absolute idiot. So now I guess I'm 99.99% big Fan and love his work and what he does for Science. I just have to remember this Lecture / Speech is basically about funding and the Grants and other $ are coming from those with guns at the heads of those that are Taxed (ie Prince Charles and other MMGW believers) have the vehicles/methods/infrastructure to collect and disperse a small % of the $ collected.
