The Dodgers had the most days lost to injuries in the sport in 2023 (2,465 days). At least they won 100 games and blasted past their division before choking in the playoffs. But I guess that's bullshit according to Cashman 🤷‍♂

Something he has failed to realize/admit is the 2022 team was not really that good. That team was kind of a fluke the first half, and pretty mediocre the 2nd half & playoffs. It was a huge mistake to bring back roughly that same lineup for 2023. He can't make that same mistake heading into 2024. He needs to stop with these little under the radar pick ups of failed prospects from other teams like Willie Calhoun & Franchy Cordero and make some real significant changes to this lineup heading into next season.

After watching this video and the Hal press conference (and listening to them many more times in the past), I think I finally get what the problem is. Hal and Cashman are just truly naive idiots who don't understand baseball literally AT ALL. Just fire Cashman, hire Theo Epstein and don't let Hal have anything to do with any part of the team other than telling Theo how much money he has to work with. That will fix so many things.

Whenever your team gets eliminated you can always comfort yourself knowing that during the four months or so of off season your heroes are relaxing in the sun, eating and drinking well, flying first class (or on private jets), staying at the best resorts, and hitting that little white ball at the best country clubs whenever they feel like it!

July 2022 through all of 2023 NYY posted 125/122 record. 3 games over .500 over that number of games is indicative of a team in decline. Injuries, underperformance, rookies, old and slow, lack of athleticism all contribute to the decline. Leading the way in continuing this decline is Mr. Cashman. Time to PROVE HIMSELF or take to a rocking chair. Bryce Harper playing first base, with his competitive spirit, in tandem with Arron Judge, just one of the options he didn’t see fit to pursue. Enough is enough, I am a fan of the NYY and you must GO.

He loves referencing those 99 wins in 2022. Somebody needs to remind him that it was literally a tale of two seasons. They got out of the gate hot with almost 60 wins by the end of June then completely fell off a cliff and played .500 ball for the rest of the year. In the playoffs, they barely got by a very inexperienced Cleveland team in the ALDS only to once again have their bats go completely silent and be totally exposed by the Astros. The 2022 team was not some consistent, well-oiled machine. They were more like Jekyll & Hyde and for Cashman to think he could just run it back with essentially the same team this past season is absurd. Injuries are something every team has to endure so I don't want to hear that excuse when discussing how bad their roster depth has become. The Yankees didn't have a legitimate everyday catcher, fringe major leaguers such as Billy McKinney and Jake Bauers saw considerable playing time and at one point Willy Calhoun was batting cleanup which tells you everything you need to know about how ill-prepared they were. The complete absense of any lefty power bats to take advantage of the right field porch is so baffling that it is almost comical the way they have structured the offense in recent years. Lastly on the pitching side of things, if he wants to gloat about their world-class scouting department, can someone please remind me the last time the Yankees developed a legitimate ace-level starting pitcher in the Cashman era? Andy Pettitte who came up nearly 30 years ago? Embarrassing.

Its so predictable and stupid. You all sit there and bleat like sheep with no clue how a business is run. You dont get a choice to just ignore business and resource constraints you fool. @@MajorWolfgangHochstetter That's exactly my point. Cashman regards the 2022 squad as being good simply because "we won 99 games" without any context. That team was awful in the second half. September was pretty decent, but by then it had already been such a seesaw year that there should have been some concerns regarding who they really were and exactly which team would show up in October. A playoff series win should always be celebrated which I'm not arguing. However, I don't think the Yankees were necessarily pounding their chests in victory after squeezing by the Guardians. They were pushed to the brink of elimination by what many would consider to be an inferior Cleveland team. Then of course, we all know how the ALCS unfolded.

Then in 2022 he was batting .159 over 82 games before he went to the Dodgers. I wonder how many millions of Steinbrenner's money was spent paying for that? I can't help but think of the very bad karma that was created when the Yankees let the 2009 World Series MVP, Hideki Matsui, walk! Think about it! Alot of injuries forcing Boone to switch players positions and lineups. Big player contracts cause players to not give a hoot about the game. History proves that. 2022 Judge breaks 61 record, gets big contract. Breaks a toenail and takes two months off. But he got paid.

Injuries have happened since boone got there and seemingly been worse as years go on... I haven't heard anything about a new strength conditioning dieting or even a yoga instructor to reduce injuries... so we dropped 20 or so games year over year which shows we are actually much weaker (schedule more outside of al east in 2023), so the league on average is getting better baltimore is no longer the basement dwellers) while we failed to get better...and with all of the issues at the start of the year... what have you done to bring in depth or replacements for the injuries? padding the roster with has beens or unproven youngters we were lucky to break 500. you failed to do your job, failed to build a robust depth chart and coaching staff.... while 3+ of our former player will be getting rings next year, we may very well be at the same spot we were last spring (no big bats signed)...i will believe your big moves when i see them....anything less than a bellinger soto motto 2/3 is a failure.

82 G isn't pretty good. It's mediocre & even if we were pretty good like Cashman said that won't help us in the AL East & that definitely won't help us in the postseason. Our offense couldn't hit with RISP to save our lives. Arod is right when he said BA still matters & Judge said this & that we need to hit more RBI & he's right on that part too. We can get runners on base, but we can't bring them home. Aside from Cole our SP was bad, but at least our BP was good.

Brian Cashman...all you have to say it that the decisions I made have not worked out. There have been more failed decisions recently than successful decisions. It wasn't for lack of trying but they haven't worked out. I am the architect and the buck stops with me. We won't give up and we will the right decisions moving forward to correct this thing. But instead, Cashman sounds like a very defensive, irritated GM that makes it seem that the fan base has no reason to be upset with HIM! DUDE, be a man, take responsibility for this failure and do your best to correct it.

Cashman is on the defensive cause he's getting bombarded that his analytic blueprint is teach the Roger Beshens football slider to all his pitchers, that's why Matt Blake got hired in 2019. Cashman knows he failed at filling in Rodon and Cortes with King and Schmidt who will start in 2024. Remember the Whirly pitch and this BS Sweeper? That's the Roger Beshens Football Slider. Cole, Rodon, Schmidt, King, Cortes with Holmes ALL Roger Beshens influenced Football Slider pitchers. The Dbacks made huge strides learning the Roger Beshens football slider, with Pfaadt, Ginkel, Sewald. Kelly and Gallen also throw it in their mix, Gallen's game 5 was the Roger Beshens Football Knuckle Slider. Cole and Snell, couldn't avg over a k an IP until 2018 when RB taught them. Sonny Gray stank in Ny cause he didn't throw his new Roger Beshens football slider until 2019 with Reds.

Dear Mr. Cashman, Considering the cost of attending a Yankee game especially for a family, are you so tone deaf that you don't understand their fans vitriol especially after this season of mediocrity and load management? To rub salt into their wounds they had to listen to a manager who defended or worse yet complimented lousy play after every loss. How many times did we have to hear the inane "We saw some good at bats" from Boone? BTW Whats the story with that dubious outside audit? Regardless the Yankee corporation will rake in.$700 million in revenue.

i am not a Cashman fan, but the Michael Show take on this that he became unhinged is a complete over-reaction. So, he swire a few times, it was all under control and in context of some basic points he was trying to stress. Agree or disagree with his decisions, he was owning them and also saying the obvious - in the end, my words are meaningless, only the results matter. What is unhinged about that?

Two stars and a bunch of overpaid, mediocre players. Very few prospects that are worth anything and lots of money locked up in duds like stanton and rodon. This team will continue it's downward spiral for another year or two, then maybe Hal will grow a set and fire cash.
