It seems like I made a mistake on the base pricing. These apparently came in around $355 base, which is an absolutely fair price. My mistake! Made some edits toward the end of the video so that people get the right info 👍

I paid $625 for the damasteel version. not offended you missed out on it, but definitely one of my favorite. Sadly I still carry my benchmade hidden canyon since we have Draconian laws here in NYC. Doesn't stop me from collecting. appreciate the review.

@@virusdapimp Which NYC law prevents this from being carried? I live upstate, but I have looking into the city laws for when I'm there for work. As far as I know, the only difference is that NYC has a 4-inch blade length limit (ordinance, not law) and that it has to be concealed, and this knife comes in below that/is generally carried in a pocket.

@@GenericAssUsername Can't have "switch blades" or "gravity knives", and when I tell you they stretch those 2, ohh boy. Pretty much if you can open it single handedly, they're fishing. They so much as a clip sticking out, even for a box cutter and they're going to stop you. That's why I stick with a fix blade under 4 inches like the hidden canyon. I enjoy my knives in the safety of my home.

@@virusdapimp It must have gotten more strict since I worked there. It seems it isn't the draconian laws that are to blame. It is police being trained to misapply the law and ordinance. It would be easy enough to win in court if they did that, but it's not worth the hassle. I guess that is their strategy. Most people would just avoid the situation and not carry.

I actually like the plain Ti scale, but if you like milling, Fanatic Edge had some super cool versions with golf putter and checkering styles. I have the plain Ti and added the zircuti collars. Absolutely one of my favorite knives. What's extraordinary about the knife is the amazing hollow grind. You just don't see such a radically deep, thin-behind-the-edge grind every day. Of course, not long after this was released, Todd Christianson came out with his Reate-made Maverick, which has a similar hollow.

Hello MC, if I remember correctly I think I paid around 150 for my zurcuti kit, and I agree with the scales they are a little plain and I am highly considering sending my scales off to have some kind of a pattern put on them, and the one you are showcasing in this video is one of the knifejoy versions and the only difference is that it has a blue pivot collar instead of a satin to the collar, I have this exact version of the yeager And I purchased mine from knifejoy, hope that helps and have a good day my friend

I actually really like this knife, especially the micarta and richlite inlay variants. Only reason I can think that they were so highly anticipated is because he’s one of the more popular custom makers right now and I think this was his first production knife. I also can’t provide a rational reason for why I like this knife so much other than… KNAF LOOK PRETTY 🥴

I think the plain Jane version you have was $355 from Knife Joy. The $400 versions were the CF inlays. I think they were even less through Brian himself - around 329. Agree that the knife is overhyped but it’s also excellent.

The silhouette is really of the moment, and has the characteristics of the day - sliciness (as opposed to say, the Hinderer choppiness). Brian Brown seems like a pretty cool guy who reached out to a lot of people, non unlike Joseph Vero,.So I think that it's really easy to cheer for the man. Also, there were a lot of cool versions, and also add ons, which always gets people super enthused. I personally like my knives a bit smaller. and really like my Brian Brown Dutchman, and never got a Yeager, but hey, there you go.

Mc complains that this knife is nothing special lol Next video of some shitty civivi “WOW this is impressive!!! D2 steel and g10!!!! These guys are really doing it hahaha. But I do agree this knife was over-hyped and this doesn’t make me question you credibility. What kinda does is how much you hype up the shitty knives lately. I feel like all your videos have thumbnails like “IMPRESSIVE” “THEY FINALLY DID IT!!” “WOW I DIDNT SEE THIS COMING!” And I watch the video and it’s a budget sencut, or civivi crkt etc with the same mid grade steel on a g-10 folder that’s been done way to many times. I’m not hating on those knives. They are like the target of knives. Better than Walmart but not anything to be looking at twice. Don’t get me wrong here because I literally had the same feeling about the yaeger being over hyped. I do own one and I love it but it’s not crazy. I love your channel but I think a lot of your videos are starting to sound like commercials for some of these brands.
