I’m glad he is feeling better now. However, as someone diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis 5 years ago I have to point out a few things. Ulcerative colitis isn’t something you “get for 6 weeks” or get and then get over. Ulcerative colitis (U.C.) is a lifelong/chronic illness. The correct term for what he is talking about are flare ups where symptoms are more severe. Also, diet/food doesn’t give you U.C., there are certain foods that can trigger symptoms but differ for everyone. It can be harmful to perpetuate the idea that if only a person had a perfect diet, mediated, or tried some other miracle then they could be cured. It’s important to raise awareness that accurately describes the disease.

AH UC is one of the most underestimated disease’s’ a painful debilitating one. The hardest part for me was having My jobs understand why I had these issues. They all thought I was a liar and I became one of their targets. It’s the worst and being married to a hospital every three months, it’s such a horrible pain that never ends 🥺 I send support. I struggle with Crohn’s disease and I can empathize with how hard it is to make sure you’re even getting the proper nutrition to repair your muscles in your skin and your bones. As an athlete it’s really difficult. Oh and keeping hydrated that’s another job. And it’s not just about water.

I have Ulcerative Colitis and I was also bed ridden for months after a long hospital stay. I lost 30lbs in two weeks, 30X a day running to the bathroom. It was horrible. Ulcerative Colitis is a disease and it does not go away and there is no cure. Each patient experiences different things and tolerances. Brian mentioned foods, but it is not a diet restriction thing. Of course if something seems to trigger it, you stay away from it. I find stress makes it so much worse, so if things are going on in your life it can trigger it. Brian mentioned that he had dealt with it before, but it might have been a flare and not as bad. Like I said, it never goes away. There are periods of remission with no symptoms, but some never achieve remission and always having to try another medication especially biologics infused to try to try to manage it. I'm glad he is feeling better.

Most autoimmune diseases are like that. It’s difficult when you look so healthy because you work so hard at it like I do when an athlete I make sure through blood sweat and tears that I work out so I get oxygen to my skin I put only a whole foods in my mouth that carry lots of nutrients. But I hurt daily I struggle with severe Crohn’s disease. I cannot afford my Remicade infusion so I have flareups every single day. It sucks because you’re gonna lose your life and I cannot ever make commitments and when I do I often break them and makes me feel guilty and terrible. People assume that you’re a flake or they say you’re always sick or you’re always tired… If they even knew Just how debilitating this disease is…

Had 18’ of small intestine’s taking out and I got better but it was a long hall. I’m in and out of hospital every five years. This past time I don’t have the heavy stress. That made it worst. I have severe Crohn’s disease as well. I was on Remicade infusions for a long time until it bankrupt me. I feel like getting part of my intestines removed would help the worst flareups and I feel like there’s definitely dead intestines inside. But I have no health insurance. Didn’t leave a scar where they did this to you? And did you have health insurance?

@@HH-gv8mx Awe hunny I’m so sorry you have the same thing. It’s painful! Yes the went threw my belly button and there’s a lil scar not bad but would been nice if there wasn’t. Yes I had health insurance. I’m sure the hospital can help you sign up for some type of insurance. By the sounds of it you might have to have some intestines taken out. The gastrologist made me swallow a huge pill that was a camera. It tells where the flareups are and the inflammation. Do you have severe pain in the pit of your stomach? Don’t let that go! I did and I was blacking out I went anemic. Do not let that go on treated. Finally when I hit on my knees I knew I had to go in. I do not take any Crohn’s medicine because of the side effects so I try to eat certain foods and stay away from other foods that make it flare up. I hope you feel better.

On my first trip to L.A in 2002., me and my then-husband went to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills to window shop and see what it looked like. As we were walking on the sidewalk, we passed Brian and who appeared to be his parents. My husband had stepped away momentarily to go look in a shop window. As I started to approach Brian, our eyes met. The look on his face was like, "Please don't make a scene!" When we started to pass, he said, "Hi, how are you?" I replied, "Good, and you?" I think he was relieved I didn't let on that he was there. I thought DWTS was canceled.

Brian (similarly to Pete Davidson) must have some serious BDE going on LOL!!!! ☺ The 3 serious relationships he's had in his life (mother's of his children) have all been with such extremely beautiful women (Vanessa, Megan now Sharna). Not that he isn't attractive and he seems to have a great personality BUT he's no Brad Pitt 😜 and let's be honest those ladies are a few numbers above his paid-grade. Not hating on BAG at all, GOOD FOR HIM 👏👏👏 and apparently good for them as well 🍆 Hahaha 😆

It’s an organization founded by people who have suffered from Crohn’s or Colitis and all of them have been able to put themselves into remission naturally. I just started the program myself and have already experienced positive results. I hope you are able to find healing! UC is a very difficult disease to deal with.
