Great video! I can't wait to get my hands on the F40.
Looking good 👍🍻
Great video, many thanks! Can I ask where you get your insulated tubing for your glycol lines?

Hi thanks! I get it from Brewtools
Nice setup and informative video. I have been looking at the B80Pro which has led me to the F80 unitank. You basically have the setup i am looking at now although still undecided on the unitank. Looking for a heating option as well because my garage is cold in winter and too big to heat to 20 C. Does that lcontroller come with the pump or does the chiller have its own pump? Thanks. Be great to see how you go from fermenter to keg as well.

Id highly recommend the F80. I have changed this set up a bit recently and will be making another video on the updates. I am now using the Brewtools Heating element for the F80. It works really well. The glycol chiller did not come with pumps and the heating element had not been released yet so i had to buy the heating & cooling kit from Ss Brewtech. It cane with the controller, pump, heat pad and a few other little accessories. Ive switched over to an inkbird for the heating element and will soon do the same with the pump once i buy one with a wall plug

@@MasteringHomebrew I bought an Icemaster X2 chiller which has a built it pump and controller. Definitely will get that heater but will have to use a separate controller for heat! :(. Might have to get an extra thermowell.
Nice video! I’ve got a question that may be stupid but I can’t find an answer. The temp controller must obviously have a sensor. Where do you put it? Surely not inside the tank as I supposed it is pressurised. Many thx

There is a thermo well in the 1.5” ports on the right hand side
Love the video! How did you connect the quick connect female part to the glycol chiller?

@@markcapone4761 it fits well and works well (only experience wit it is from use with other fermenters). Ive not yet used it with this one yet. My next brew will be a pilsner fermented with oslo kveik so it will be the first time using it to its full extent. Soon!

@@MasteringHomebrew How did the heater work?
Awesome video mate, does the cooling jacket go down the cone or just around the fermenter ?
@MasteringHomebrew

Thanks! The jacket is only in the walls of the fermenter and not the cone.

Is the SS Brewtech heating pad enough to keep a high temp in the F80 ? Cheers !

Yep works just fine. Will take a bit longer to get up to high temps for kveik from room temp but if you pitch hot it will maintain high temps just fine.
How much cooling liquid goes into the cape? And how do you keep it inside when disassembling the fermenter for cleaning? Thanks!

The cooling jacket has 2.1 liters volume. I use quick disconnects on the tank, hoses and chiller so nothing leaks or sprays out if its disconnected. Brewtools sells some awesome glycol QDs-TC accessories that make life easy to disconnect it all quickly and easily
