You're kidding, right? Just remember your fanboy appreciation for Roberts now when he fails again when it matters, October. So tired of "fans' giving Roberts credit for regular season, but none of the blame for playoff humiliation. 6 playoff losses in a row and 3 - 10 in their last 3 series. Mattingly, with a far inferior lineup, was fired and never had a stretch in the playoffs like that.

Big wins? Like that series against the D-backs? The Dodgers are losing to teams they shouldn't be, and in their own division. The pitching is not getting it done. With guys like Ohtani, Freeman, Smith, and Teoscar Hernandez a little league coach could still get production out of that lineup. No Mookie? Well, we still have two other MVP winners... I say this as a fan too. Roberts would have to be terrible to fall apart with that lineup, and he's still putting up 12-4 losses against losing teams.

What Glasnow did tonight was what Aces are expected to do each and every start: he hung in there, even through a disastrous 5th inning (surprised Roberts didn't panic and go to the bullpen after the grande salami!), and gave his team a chance. Other than that one inning, Glasnow was superb. Also, Will Smith showing his muscle is always a delight. On the maybe-not-so-bright-side, Ohtani going Oh for 5 with 3 K's on his 30th B-Day...Happy Birthday? 🎂

@@kellykarcher7179and Lux isn't? Lux is equally as much of a liability as Vargas defensively and a far worse bat than Vargas. Vargas is hitting above .300 with an OPS of above .950. Plus, the dude rarely strikes out. Every time he makes contact it's very solid contact.

@@jonrobles1468 Lux has better career stats with both the glove and the bat than Vargas does. Plus, Lux is much faster on the bases than Vargas. Vargas does have more upside right now though. This is why I think Vargas is trade-bait. The Dodgers can get much more for Vargas than Lux.

@@kellykarcher7179but if you trade Vargas, you're weakening the bench and making the lineup more lefty-heavy. Lux is better off with a change of scenery and I think he would be more productive with a new team. Did you see when Vargas hit his HR? Bottom of the eighth inning; he put the Dodgers ahead after the Brewers tied it in the top of the inning. That means he's clutch. Vargas has the makings of a very solid player at his floor, superstar at his ceiling.

Strange. I wondered if it's a ritual he does before an at bat. After watching it a few times it appears he wants the distance between his feet in his stance to be the same as the length of the bat. If it's something he does each time then I hope he keeps it up. Great result in that at bat.

Lol. Vargas is hitting. When they are healthy why not forget lefty vs. righty and vice versa for a little while. By position (not position number): Smith, Freeman, Mookie, Rojas, Muncy, Vargas, Pages, Teoscar and, of course, Ohtani. That would be most potent lineup or, as it translates from Japanese, strongest Dodgers.

The announcer bragging about Freddie Freeman “only” striking out 61 times this year when Tony Gwynn went 12 straight years with less than 30 strikeouts per year….

Ohtani, Lux, Rojas and Taylor were 0 for 15. Doesn't bode well for the Brewers pitcher tonight. On the other hand Paxton was horrible his last outing so that may not bode well for the Dodgers. His era was 2.58 on May 11th and is now 4.28.

Been a Dodgers Fan since the 90s when we had guys like Park,Piazza,Nomo,Karros,Mondesi, and Hollandsworth and when Vin Scully and Lasorda were still with us(RIP) but currently they have done a lot of stuff wrong as a company that kept me away from games but it took something like this to bring me back in.

Japanese pitchers are useless in MLB except Shota because their health can not keep up with MLB schedule. Yamamoto out in only 2 months with 10 yr contract remaining is a joke.

Japanese pitchers are very weakly built except Shota so far because their physical can not keep up with MLB schedule. Matsuzaka used to be no.1 pitcher at that time was out in 1 yr and now so-called the best japan pitcher, Yamamoto out in only 2 months with 10 yr contract remaining. this is very sad.

Home plate ump was inconsistent tonight. Freeman should have been called out on strikes in the bottom of the eighth. Other questionable calls. Did he bet with Ohtani?
