Great to see these getting into UK. These are a really high quality fermenter and MoreBeer have done a great job getting this product to market.

Many people these are aimed at have been using plastic 30L buckets and looking to upgrade, e.g. From 2x30L buckets for 50L ferment, so the size of 53L doesn't scale well, I'm guessing because it was sized on US gallons. Needs to be 60L capacity to make sense to me.

Hey! Yes the capacity will have been calculated based on US measurements. In our experience most people using this size system want to gain 2 x kegs (19L or 23L) so the size translates to this well. For those wanting a bigger capacity there are a couple of larger options. There are also the new X3 versions, which don't have the lid with the compression fitting and as such have a bit more head room in them

Nic suggested that the SS FTSS may fit this. Any chance you could give the conical heat pad a whirl on it to see if that’s the case?

Looks like a catch up to what Brewtools are already supplying.

What we love specifically about this unit is the ability to remove the lid entirely for cleaning!

Hi, What size would you recommend for 23-25 litre batches, these size batches seem to be borderline for 7/14 US gallon sizes?

The smallest one would be perfectly suitable for this side as there is some head room

The Brewbuilt looks in essence like a keg land steel Fermzila.... which is a proven concept... Really wonder how this compares to the SS uni 2.0. The SS looks a bit more sophisticated and higher quality... Brewtools in comparison scares me as I don't want to clean all the ports all the time... I am torn if i should get this one or wait for SS to hit Europe...

Is there a suitable heating pad for the X2 available?

A heat belt will work fine but yes, we do have the correct BrewBuilt pads arriving, should be 3-4 weeks
