    The second truck nearly succumbed to the "Whistlin Diesel" cheap tie rod end debacle. Jesus that was some real flex there. Alignment is probably toe-in after that one.

    Jeff Clark can you not see the tires? These are daily drivers and yes stock tie rods snap so easily. My buddy has a duramax and can snap them by just launching hard.

    Chad Hickey I know all too well about chevy tie rods and steering issues. I was merely saying Dodge and ford didn’t have that problem in their heavy duty trucks. All solid front axles though to be fair

    Freedom Rides they bend. Or they bend the tabs on the frame that hold the idler arm. I’ve seen it and fixed it

    These are my favorites to watch pull (And always wonder if half of the GM trucks need an alignment after doing this) And even though it really wouldn’t matter I’ve always wanted one of the magazines or shows to test bone stock trucks like this (well, have to make sure the tires are the same as tires make just as much if not more difference in how they do in a sled pull as power does) While no truck is designed to sled pull right off the showroom floor, and 99% of them sold will never be hitched to the sled, I’d sill be interested to see which does the best just based off an entertainment factor lol

    If half of the Duramax trucks would of invested in sleeves or heavy tie rods they might of went another 5-10ft since their front tires wouldn’t of been pulling toward each other. Proud of the little lady in the black dodge putting a hurtin on 99% of the guys there

    Every single one of those duramaxs have sleeved tie rods or heavy duty ones. Stock ones wouldn’t have lasted 20 feet

    Kendal Dueck idk what brand of sleeves or tie rods they bought but the two sets of rare parts had tie rods and idle arm braces I ran on my 06 and 03 dmaxs never let the tires try to toe in like these boys tires did

    Pulling sleds have gears that determine how fast the weight box runs forward. If someone goes too far out in the first couple of hooks, they can "reset the sled" and stop the pullers sooner. Typically, the first puller in the class AFTER the sled is set can choose to keep or drop the hook. This will either be to 3rd puller or last puller, to give them a chance to do better than their first attempt.

    Man those tie rods flex a lot. I guess with your tires toed in like that your truck will pull straight, but a set of Kryptonite tie rod ends will stop that real quick. Also that brand new GMC at 7:56 didn't look half bad considering the new Sierra's are kinda ugly

    @@wiggitywhitefox No problem. If you watch the straight axles they do this also, just not as noticeable. If you're throwing power down like that you'll find the weak link in any rig. All though I will say I've seen some Duramax truck spank the cummins bubba's.

    Thats 8500 pounds ending up on a flat sled dragging the ground. If the weight box stayed on the wheels of the sled any truck could do it.

    Most people on here saying dodges suck when 3 of the 4 placed in the top 5 and 2 placed 2nd and 3rd. With there being 1 ford in the field that mean 10 GM's was represented and 1 beat everyone (bad ass truck). That being said I think its clear to see that dodge aren't as bad and horrible as yall make it out to be. Now a moment of silence for the tie rods and transmissions that were sacrificed in this event haha.
