    This stuff is heartbreaking. Gives me perspective as a middle aged American man with a healthy family. Life does not feel as though it has been entirely easy for me but when I listen to this I know for a fact it has been easy and I am so lucky. It is easy because of the sacrifices men like this made. Of course I mean soldiers, not Nazis.

    The German soldiers were still men, with families, and many were conscripted into service, by a government that would execute anyone voicing a hint of defeatism.
