He wasn't in second, he was 3/3. With no tie breaker the standings would read 1 Ally, 1 Oscar, 3 Brennan. With tie breakers whoever losses between Ally and Oscar would get second.

I mean you can finish your sentence there. Sam made a show where you get rewarded for holding yourself back. If you believe in doing your best and giving 100% sams game is kind of the opposite of that.

It's funny, I placed 49th at a cross country meet back in high school, and I actually got a ribbon for it. It was the only non-participation ribbon I've gotten from a meet. I still have it (along with my pile of participation ribbons) in my room to this day.

The dragging and dropping the crown fits Brennan’s begrudging, underwhelmed reaction so perfectly. Like it just manifested on his head fully against his will.

Brennan’s face in the thumbnail immediately let’s me know this is gonna be one for the books

I've seen a clip that apparently was cut for time where Sam says "Now, Brennan, we did _not_ make this episode explicitly to troll you." Brennan responds "sure you didn't" in the coldest, most sarcastic way possible, but he's smiling.

Yeah, it's in the behind-the-scenes. Apparently Brennan also almost pulled a Yes or No on this one, too, in that he evidently figured out what the conclusion was going to be well in advance. Sure did not help, though.

I think it's funnier that Sam came up with a fun episode, and then after the first round, Brennan immediately turned on the game.

The fact that the hole to center stage is precisely above Brennans podium, suggesting that his second place "win" was planned from the start is just extra salt in the wound.

Brennan's empty-eyed stare into nothingness is everything. Especially since it's all a preamble to him throttling Sam. Honestly I keep rewatching Brennan running at Sam at the end. This is such a good bit.

I literally won 2nd place at a talent show performing Brennan's "Yes or No" monologue. Definitely using this one in the next!

I love that Oscar is the one to start chanting. Sam and Ally have been there enough that they know the routine. But Oscar is just so excited to be part of a quintessential GameChanger moment.

I love how you've managed to make this scene even more dramatic and cinematic. I especially love the flag drop behind Brennan just as the dropout closing music is building. Perfectly timed.

This is just a tiny moment in this amazing animation, but I just love the part where Brenan's podium is shaking and starts to rise... The entire scene is just so perfect and dramatic... I don't know how much work it took but every second of it was worth it. And the fact that it looks like he's shaking in anger while showing no emotion (which I could overanalyze for days) is just the cherry on top. Thank you for your hard work and very funny video ^^

I just realized that this episode of game changer is basically a response to Brennan's speech about points on make some noise. The shared comedy universe at dropout.

As soon as I heard Brennan begin his monologue, I knew you weren't gonna be far behind with the cartoon. Amazing work as always DeepBlue.

Okay but playing a game where points go to second place and then saying whoever gets SECOND at the end of the game is asking "Who's second best at getting second place?" And that could have so many more layers that I am not ready to unpack

The pageantry of all of this is so well done. Truly a SPEECH that delivers exactly what Brennan is feeling. Starting with over the top highlights of Brennan winning, despite that he DOESN'T want to win. Going to almost a formal presidential statement to deliver pure truth: That Sam is a monster. Side note, I always get surprised that Sam manages to find some new way of getting under Brennan's skin. Sam is so talented.

The way you animated him saying "rodeo" is just incredible acting. So perfect!

i'm sorry, but something really must be said about the amazing set work that DBI does with these animations. the details are incredible. i honestly gasped at the gorgeous golden column loop-de-loops.

This really was the second best episode of Game Changer.

The way you expressed such intense hatred in those two little dots for eyes is breathtaking
