If you watch the full episode and pay attention to the kind of moves Brennan was making towards the end it seems like he was actually going for 2nd place (in other words, the win), he just maintained character. Which does spoil the joke a bit ngl, but it's just so Brennan to go for the win even if he hates the game.

That "no wait" at the start. You can physically see Brennan's computer brain stutter as it simultaneously thinks "that is an acceptable logical response to the wording of the problem" and "how did I not think of that? Must find error and resolve"

What's most interesting is that in a strange way, it works. By Brennan ALWAYS trying his hardest to win, it forces second place to also try their hardest. Therefore, everyone is giving it their all during these games.

Watching Brennan's speeches made me realize something. When he gets older, he would be great with his own kid's show with a Mr. Roger's vibe to it. He's got a real wholesome streak in him that could be super beneficial to kids.

Well, he got his start as a camp counselor managing LARPing kids... so I think that energy is as hard-won as it is inherent 😂

I love the background knowledge that Sam wasn't in any way *trying* to make Brennan win, but as soon as he realized how the numbers added up he went "oh this is going to be hilarious."

I love brennan's thought process of "oh you thought you'd put me in some moral dilemma, force me to do poorly? NEVER."

The irony in doing your best in a game about not doing your best, causing you to get the least points and therefore winning...

*gets 2nd place* Brennan: So you have chosen death.

The episodes where Sam JUST makes a thing to fuck with Brennan will always be low-key my favorite episodes of Gamechanger. Well... Those and the Noise Boys episodes, but those are off in their own series now, lmao.

There was a scene cut where he did give more detail - he broke a tooth in a hot dog eating contest, he got the mixed up at first. The water was too cold for the heat of the hot dogs and it broke one of his teeth.

Ally's laughter at the Lord of the Rings set got me so hard. They were rejoicing so much

Omg and they just start dancing behind Brennan as he gives his speech. I am so confused and yet so deeply entertained.

Brennan understands the physics behind the stick, but not his body. If he had the technique the sound would have been about 3 times louder, and would likely be heard by passing cars.

I have seen, at the gym I frequent, member's who go there and try just enough, I have seen those who do almost nothing, I have seen members who *actually* do nothing, and I have seen members who struggle and push themselves to a degree that warrants a standing ovation for the dedication of will and physical effort. I am proud of all these people because they put aside the time out of their day in the pursuit of self-improvement. I would like to say that I am particularly proud of one member. She and a professional body builder were there at the same time and the difference between their approach was vast. While the body builder went through the motions and casually strolled from one location to the next, she moved with purpose. As he went through his sets with a bored expression, the look on her face was fierce and focused. As sweat ran down her face, she saw only the goals that she had set for herself and the struggle that it would take to achieve them; a struggle she was determined to meet head-on. She would come in and try her best *every single time* and, for that, I salute her.

I think we all know that this game was specifically tailored to make Brennan's blood pressure skyrocket to truly dangerous levels. Like, he is the star of the show here. That said, can you think of a better pair to feature alongside him in this all-timer of a breakdown than Ally Beardsley and Oscar Montoya? Because they both compliment the dynamic SO fucking insanely well. Sam Reich is a menace of celestial proportions and he's also far too smart to be left alive, look at the power in his hands.

The fact that technically in this episode there is no second place cause oscar and ally tied for first meaning brennan would be in third so there would be no winner is so funny. Like imagine if that was the twist of the episode, that ultimately no one won. It would almost be funnier than forcing brennan to win the only game he desperately wanted to lose
