I love and miss Brendan. He was like The Joker, Deadpool and other anti-heroes. You’re not supposed to love the bad stuff he does you’re supposed to love the fact that despite of his bad side he can also do something good and selfless. Brendan is probably one of the best characters ever written on Hollyoaks because he has so many layers to him.

I lost interest in the show when he left.

This has got to be one of the best scenes every in Hollyoaks and I absolutely enjoyed every single bit of it. The best days for Hollyoaks.

11 years to this date since this episode aired remember seeing this. Best hollyoaks episode ever imo. Bring back brendan

One of the most epic scenes in Hollyoaks history, IMO. Emmett Scanlan is just amazing.

The most heartbreaking thing about this exit is that Brendan never really got the chance to live his life and be free of his father. Ugh. I miss both the Brady’s so much.

started watching the show when he first appeared and stopped watching straight after he left. and 10 or so years later I still go back to watching only his parts of the show. never gets old and will never be replaced. what a LEGEND!

Back when Hollyoaks was in its PRIME. I'll never forget this episode. Or the bit before and after. 😭😭😭

Brendan is actually so nice I loved his relationship with Ste and his interactions with Leah

Would love to see Brendan return. Ste is still around so that would be enough of a reason for him come back. Would be amazing to see him resume his rivalry with Warren too. He's been inside 7 years, it's quite plausible he could get paroled anytime now.

I guess it was because I used a certain word to describe what Brendan's dad was about to do him. They won't allow me to say it even though it's just stating what was happening. 🤷‍♂️ I get this on KZread a lot tbh. Very frustrating when you are just trying to have a conversation & they just remove your comments.

They won't allow me to use a certain four letter word beginning with 'r' is the only reason I can think they deleted it. Mind you, I've seen my comments disappear on KZread before now for no logical reason, so who knows. You are right though btw, I forgot he admitted to all four killings, not likely he'd get out anytime soon.

@@1977Suspiria Maybe after at least 20 years in prison, it depends. It would be too stupid if he came back to Hollyoaks even if I understand that the fans want to. I can´t think of any reason why he should even if it is a silly soap where not so much is realistic. I liked the storytelling between Brendan and Ste though and all the bad and good things that happened with a little realistic end. There were some really moving scenes. The story can be seen here again.

Not sure why people think I'm that serious 😕 tbh if he returned now it just wouldn't work..just like some movie sequels don't work. The fact I originally stated we're begging for his return was because he made such a big impact in the show then it got all matter of fact. 🤣

The Irish actor who play's Brendan is also in the awesome 'Gangs of London'.

BB did the most beautiful thing an oldest Brother could ever do for his own baby Sister cause my Husband Addison always told me that he would do the same exact thing for me if I ever did something like that!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️ I wonder though. What happened to their Mother and also if Doug and she also knew about what Seamus did to his own Son BB when he was a Child. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Huh you are on pretty much every other hollyoaks vid slagging Brendan off yet here you're praising him. Brendan is an amazing character for more reasons than taking the fall for his sister.

I stopped watching hollyoaks soon after this as it lost its depth in story telling!

Just watched this episode on All 4. I went off hollyoaks when he left. I watch it every now and then but not much. I know brendan was the bad guy but I couldn't help but love him. He's a great actor and he stole the show. Same as Warren. Brendans a better baddie then Warren though 😁

Brendan emptied the gun whilst cleaning his sisters finger prints on it when she was crying as he knew if her prints are on it she would get life sentence... he said to her “unconditional love, he would do anything for his baby sister, even take a bullet ” - he knew if he showed the arm police the empty gun they will shoot him on the spot that’s why he confessed to all murders and prayed , Cheryl screamed running up as she realised what he was going to do that’s why he closed the door so she wouldn’t see him get shot and he said “I’ll see you in the next life ste” (the police didn’t know he was holding a empty gun obvs until he died) that’s why at the end they showed Brendan and Cheryl at their young age where Brendan has gone to heaven (hollyoaks style)

Brendan tried to commit suicide by cop. He pulled an unloaded gun on them, Cheryl realised what he was intending to do. It didn't work though as they just shot him in the shoulder & disarmed him.

@@1977Suspiria By rights, he should have been killed when he drew down on the police as he stood on that balcony. Emmett is quoted as saying he wanted his character killed but the producer(s) decided differently. Even Kieron is quoted as saying he wanted Brendan killed.

They should bring him back for when set returns

I'm so confused, what happened? Cheryl found bullets, presumably a gun was missing off the table, Cheryl said the guns not loaded then Brendan shut her in the club..? I'm totally lost

He was going to pull a gun on the police so that they’d shoot him and he’d die instead of going to prison. So she was warning the police not to shoot

If all of the clips from the archives are to be about Brendan, I hope they show the real Brendan. Brendan mugging his own sister then lying about it for months, Brendan punching Ste in the gut in the basement of chezchez, Brendan murdering his own grandmother, Brendan dealing drugs, Brendan murdering Danny Houston, Brendan sucker punching Ste outside Ste's flat, Brendan causing Rae to miscarry, Brendan hitting Ste in the face in his (Brendan's) flat, Brendan using a handsaw to carve up Joel's stepdad, Brendan cheating on his wife, Brendan bullying Amy, Brendan abusing Ste again, Brendan involved in the death of four other people, Brendan threatening to beat up Kevin, Brendan holding Ste on the ground and hitting him about six times in the face, Brendan berating Carmel for burning up his drugs, Brendan conspiring to have his own dad killed, and so forth. You know, the real Brendan.

The real Brendan has many sides both good and bad. It´s important to make a nuanced picture of a person instead of obsessing about the bad. You clearly didn´t see the whole story and you didn´t want to see the good things in Brendan. People who don´t have a nuanced picture of a person are dangerous as they don´t show the intellect needed to handle people like Brendan. It´s like the police in the US that are racist and think that every black person is bad. That view is narrow-minded and dangerous.

Again you post that in your opinion I have not seen the entire storyline. I have. You imply that your intellect is superior to mine. Might be, might not be. On another occasion you posted that Brendan did some horrible things and yet you continue to defend him. Is that because you think you have a more nuanced picture of him or is it because you see what you want to see and do not see what you do not want to see?

Brendan's defenders bury their heads in the sand when it comes to all of his atrocities to a lot of different people. Fortunately, there are people like yourself who remember all the evil that he did and are willing to speak up. Take care.

@@thentherewas1167 How fair is that he has been alive these nearly 10 years and the ones he murdered haven't? He accepted the responsibility for five (should have been six) deaths. That means he has been in prison two years for each. I wonder how the people he murdered, abused, cheated, threatened, bullied, stole from, lied to, drugged feel about him being let out of prison. No, 10 years is not nearly long enough.

Bcos he pulls out a gun and they shoot him thinking he is a threat but he had removed all the bullets from the gun; which Cheryl found in his jacket pocket!!

Honestly,,, this is a bold statement, but I hope brendan stays away from the show, because let's face it, hollyoaks destroys great characters these days, kills off popular characters just for ratings and the story line's are not as good.

Brendan is the coolest gay guy ever. As soon as i saw him. The way he acts is an act.... his facial expresions are very simular to mine. I need to find out about his real personality. I have social anxiety and the expretions.
