Diet Coke + straw: Bend the tab back over the opening and stick the straw though the small hole. Straw will stay in place. 🥰

I have been challenged by my middle school students to finish Land I Love by July retreat. I have been fairly monogamous since Feb. 19, which is not my ‘norm’. Your video brought so much joy to me. I will have to rewatch to soak up all the fabulous charts, linens and threads. Good to see you two again. It's May 1 today and snowing here in central Alberta (wet snow; we needed moisture so badly we're not even complaining!) Thanks for the mention of Mason Linen. I'd never tried it but Traditional Stitches is the vendor in this part of the world (maybe in all of Canada; I don't know), and they recently had a selection of Limited Edition linen from Mason. I scored a piece of 40 count; it came in the mail this week -- looks gorgeous! RE: Stitching from the bottom left: Caroline of Evertote does that most of the time. It would make me nervous too; I prefer to start in the top left. And...Lakeside. Yes, I know it's hard to find...but again, Traditional Stitches came through with a piece of 32 count Vintage Bisque for me in that same order (above) that I got last week. I'm going to use some of it for Jeannette Douglas' "Garden Box" smalls (I have my own antique sewing box for them; it was made by one of my grandmother's brothers a good 100 years ago or more). Definitely "Lakeside worthy", eh? 😊

My condolences on the loss of your husband’s grandmother, but how wonderful that your son had so many years with her in his life. I know (from family) that I met my dad’s grandmother, but she died when I was 3 or 4, so I don’t remember her. Love the FFOs, etc. I LOVE Pigeon Coop…can’t wait for Max’s book, too. Happy stitching!

I have been watching your videos religiously from the very beginning and just love watching the two of you! Your stitching is amazing and Brenda, all the stitchy goodies! Love them all! I died laughing when Brenda spoke about the floss drops that Laura never gave her. Too funny! Thank you for brightening my Sundays. Brenda, any advice for me about chemo? I am about to start radiation and chemo combined and then 18 sessions of heavy duty chemo. I admired your courage. Thank you ladies for the wonderful videos, for sharing your love of stitching and for all of your stash!!!

Enjoyed seeing you both. Going to my first HATS retreat this weekend....so excited. Fun to see the BBD pattern flip through - I just love their designs. In fact I just finished two pieces from the book "A Fine Collection" : July's Celebration and Friendship Gathering. The "Sewing Club" book is also a favorite. I have stitched many from the "Winds of Autumn" and I did a FFO video for those back in the fall. Anywho...I could go on and on about BBD...😊 Take care and Happy Stitching!

I laughed so much at Laura and now knowing Brenda doesn’t keep track of fabrics. I don’t, but I dye all of my own fabrics so no need to. I’m with Brenda - LOL!!! We have so much in our stash, breathe, take a deep breath and then click on new stash you just can’t resist and add to cart!!! As my mom always said, you only live once so enjoy what you can do now. I hope the sad stuff gets better.

Loved seeing the two of you. I’m on team Laura on keeping track of the linen! I know I wasn’t asked but that’s just my 2 cents. I was laughing out loud at Laura’s shock and dismay at the revelation about the lack of linen recording. I hope that each of you were able to decide what to work on today. Am just finishing my first Blackbird - Away We Ride - and then I'm going to start some green pears. You've inspired me. I have an antique, cut-glass cake stand (don't eat cake anymore) so they will be displayed on the cake stand in the middle of my dining table. Thanks for the inspiration. Love you both.

I really enjoyed starting a bank holiday weekend with you both and all the eye candy ❤ I happened to glance out of the window at one point and found I had a squirrel bouncing round the garden, could be a sign 🤣
