Nice review Rob, I agree on the two tone, not sure I would call the clasp new anymore though, its been what 24 or 25 years since it came out? I have this in black and stainless, with the rubber strap which has been made this way to resemble the bracelet option available with this watch.

Hi Rob, Another great video . Just bought the 42 in black with the Milanese strap and it is stunning. It has had many compliments already. The movement has two more jewels added , 28 I believe compared to 26 in the Tudor. My first Breitling and very impressed with the overall quality and finish. Cheers Dave , England.

Very nicely made indeed, although my own preference is for the non-heritage model, it such a fun watch. The green dial version of this on black rubber strap looks interesting.

Breitling does offer a metal mesh bracelet for $350 more than the rubber option. Another great watch & video, Rob!

just remember, if you come to RI and want to see Breitlings in Saltzman's store, you have to go to the New Port location. the cranston store has Oris as their top brand in store.

Beautiful watch, agree. I prefer the marked indices of the black watch versus the numerical hour markers of the white watch which to me degrade the aesthetic. Personal preference only.

Not a Breitling guy, but this is a pretty watch. If it had a two tone chainmail bracelet, it would be epic. Someone needs to do that, with inner lines of golden weave.

In the lighting as filmed at many angles the hands and markers of the Heritage disappear against the black dial. Your ‘favourite’ Super Ocean on the other hand is super legible by comparison.

Love mine, I have both those superocean configurations actually!! Lol

I was born in Newport Rhode Island and worked some fishing boats when I was a kid.

It’s a bit sad that the steel mesh bracelet comes without the nice clasp, ruling that version out. Should they have not done this in 40mm, 42 and either of the silly sizes instead off to big ones .

I prefer the Heritage, its just a more refined looking watch, not that the standard BSO isn't. Both would work well for just about any occasion. I really like this more subtle two tone, I just wish the crown was gold too. BTW Rhode Island is so small you can see Saltzmanns from any point in the entire state, *and* they recently wrote a bill to carpet the entire state but it was vetoed, governor clearly takes money from BIG Linoleum.

I will be in Rhode Island next month for vacation and my wife is thinking about getting me a new watch for my upcoming 50th birthday. Will mentioning I was referred by Random Rob help me out? 🤞

I know, right? I believe the 44mm and 46mm versions have color-matched date windows. Don’t get why they didn’t do it for the 42mm.

This or the no date sub?

Beautifull watch! Almost perfect - but this lug 2 lug and thickness... It was so close...

I was wondering it why it is so thick. Movement by Tudor well that explains it. Also a diver with no Arabic’s on the bezel, I’ll stick with the (old) Super ocean
