I prefer brushed watches. My first Breitling was the Blackbird, completely brushed when every other Breitling could be used as a mirror when shaving. One of my favourite watches. This Colt hits the spot with me.

I think that many traditional Breitling fans will hate this watch while a totally new group of fans might get pulled in. I am in the latter group and this is one of a very few Breitlings that I would consider purchasing.

Very nice review. I fitted it couple of weeks ago in Breitling boutique and noticed the same about the clasp and the endlinks. Breitling are you kidding us?

I have same one of this. I have very small wrist and I wanted small and minimalism sport watch. This Breitling colt 41 is perfect for my need. I considered Rolex Yacht master rhodium. Prices of two are way different so I bought Brietling. I didn’t like the steel bracelet so I got nato bands that are much lighter and comfortable. I wanted old Breitling “wings” but old versions have too much busy dial so I got the newer model. I miss breitling wings. Other than that, it’s a very good watch and I am very happy with it.

I actually really like this piece, beautiful watch with a great dial, movement and bracelet. I just want to see a navyblue dial version ;)

I found it best to open the clasp by slipping a finger under the bracelet, between the clasp and bracelet, at the opposite end from the flip-lock, and sliding the finger toward the flip-lock end . This is more effective and the clasp will last much longer. As well, lifting the clasp end opposite from the flip-lock end will also work. Prying the clasp open from the end under the flip-lock will wear down the mechanism more quickly than the other methods.

I chose an old C41. On the new one there is too little action on the dial. And the old one also has the logo with the wings. I wear the C41 on a Vitage leather bracelet from HIRSCH. A men's watch.

Thanks for the video, Bruce. Best video on this watch, hands down. I was able to find a Colt 41 like this, but with the old style blue dial. Maybe it’s the best of both worlds? Thanks for this video, really helped me make a decision.

Its sharp! Clean and can go with everything! Love it. Only gripes are the double indices at 6 and 12 ( just do it at 12) and how hard is it to “window” the date with metal frame?! And agree - get a push button deployment for this price and calibre

I just checked the bezel on my 2007 Breitling SuperOcean blue dial ref# A17360, and sure enough, a tiny "B" is there. I never noticed it before. Thanks! My SuperOcean, with a navy blue NATO strap, is running -1 to +2 seconds a day.

That new chronomat that is all brushed is my cup of ☕️

Great video as always. I welcome Breitling's minimalist clean direction. Such a style would appeal to me in a 45mm model.

This is a nice watch. I won't even look at a watch over 42mm let alone too much bling. The new Breitling Premium line has me interested in the brand for the first time.

This is cool, making a Ladies Colt! I kid, I kid. My wrist size means I have to go larger, but it's nice that these options are available.

Thanks for your comments. One thing, you didn´t mention is the scale of 1/100 of a minute on the rehaut. What is it good for? Who wants to use it, and in what kind of situation? (without a chronograph ... ) Do you like it, or does it distract you? Do you know Breitlings intention for putting it?

Prefer the white/yellow gold Wings/Anchor 1000x more than the B logo. Makes it look more generalized and less of a watch I would want to own.

Yes, that's the reason I bought an old version 41mm from a local AD last week, because I noticed that changed the logo... Personally, I feel the old version's dial design is more "Breitling".

I really like this piece from Breitling, it is tastfully done. I wish the blue dial version was available in 41mm though.

100%. This is the first Breitling in years that has made me take a second look. They are usually so busy that to look at one gives me a headache. Most Breitlings you can see coming from a mile away, looks like a carnival on your wrist.

@@GrisuXIII yes, it is brushed no longer polished but still with the blue dial in 41mm. The watch is fantastic and wears much better than the new Omega 300m diver. I purchased mine from Chronext. They shipped from Germany I believe so you will pay a customs fee, but was worth it. I think it represents tremendous value.

Hi Bruce I know I am late with this one but after seeing this review I went and pulled the trigger on this lovely Breitling. I believe they are going to discontinue this model. I have always liked Breitling but always thought they were far too big and more of a show piece. This 41 fits my 7" and quarter wrist perfectly and is much more understated. In the flesh this beautiful grey is amazing and it is one I keep looking at, already I prefer it to my other watches to the point I am thinking of selling a few of the others including a black bay 58 and a seamaster. Thanks for this I hope Breitling continues to make less busy dials this one is a winner. Regards Garry.

Beautiful watch! Bought one a few weeks ago and I love it. One strange thing though; my bracelet misses the text "Modele depose manufacture en suisse". Any idea why this is? All other identical bracelets I can find on the internet do have this text in it. Thanks!!

I sort of like it. The dimensions are excellent and I like the brushed finished. But the end links make the bracelet look like it comes from a different watch and I much prefer the winged logo. The dial ends up looking too plain and dare I say, cheap.

Those center links are triggering my ocd like a mismatched floor tile

No worries, yes it can rotate and is 120 click unidirectional rotating

Just got myself one today Love the watch, love the more subdued look compared to noisier look that you normally expect from Breitling, which was the reason I used to avoid Breitlings The dial looks great, love the nicely done sunburst, love the crystal, and the signature zigzagging bracelet Only thing bringing it down a little, as mentioned in the video, is the clasp - it really does feel a little odd not to have a deployment clasp on a watch at this price point Still, I think I'm going to enjoy the watch for quite a while

Breitling discontinued their Colt series less than two years after launching their new Colt models. I own the 'silver' one of the same model and have a love- hate relationship with it. Love the sapphire crystal glass, the case thickness and the polish of the bracelet. Dont quite like the lack of contrast in beige dial, affects legibility in dim light. Still was worth a buy for the COSC movement!

I bought the blue dial two weeks ago, last pc...Was lucky.

Breitling does many things right but that clasp has got to go. Is it too much to ask to equip pro 3 with the same clasp they put on rubber straps? That one is better than Omega’s in my book. Also, I think they should have stuck with concentric circle texture on the dial for the colt. Thanks for another good vid, Bruce!

Probably the only Breitling I like

This version of the Colt finally got me into the Breitling family. I love it. It’s one of my watches that gets the most wear time.

I don't like the "connection" of the endlink and / to the case. Seems not tight to me

Sorry Bruce... Nice watch, nice aesthetic hitting "the sweet spot" in size but the end link mis-fitment 🤭 is a dealbreaker!

I believe it's a design element. Multiple generations have it. Try the watch, it feels awesome. Looks classy.

It's a got an old Tag Heuer 2000 look about it. That didn't look great then and I'm not sure where they are going with the Colt series. It's not ugly per se, there is just so many other more exciting choices at the price point.

I just returned a Tag today the Aquaracer Calibre 5 in blue I loved that watch but was sold on this one. I'm in a bit of a pickle because now I don't know what to purchase.

beautiful watch. ive seen this watch around 2k properly price.

I prefer the outgoing model, I actually considered buying it and probably would have if it was still in production. The so called “busy dial” is absolutely gorgeous and has character. The only changes i would have made to breitling watches is to size them down a little, more brushing less polish and better clasps, other than that i wouldn’t touch the previous generation dials or logo or design, they ooze character. Examples are the dial of the outgoing colt and the galactic 41. Most of the new models , including this one, are just plain, uninspiring and quite boring, they don’t stand out at all . Who needs another sunburst monotone dial on a dive watch with applied markers- it looks like hundreds of watches out there. The small numerals and the circular texture of the prevoius dial were winners. And of course the winged logo wins big time.

It's an attractive watch but never been attracted to the brand do to the bigger sizes of most of there watches an having 6.25 wrists. But think I could pull off a 42mm.

Regarding the clasp - you just need to bend the parts underneath to get it tighter. Done it hundred times to my customers watches. Spares them of buying a new clasp.

Great looking watch. I've always been a Breitling fan. I'm even more so with Georges Kern. Their watches seem to be less "bling" now.

I want to ask your opinion... is breitling colt comparable to the new seamater 300m? do you think breitling colt is inferior in terms of finishing etc than the seamaster?

Cleanest looking best sized everyday sports watch Breitling ever made. Sadly now consigned to the archives being discontinued.

The end link-case lug mismatch is concerning. Almost as bad as Rolex Submariner case-bracelet appalling mismatch.

That was only on the discontinued SD to my knowledge. My gmt master which shares the same case and bracelet (save for finish) is a nice pairing

Those ill-fitting end links are a deal breaker at this price point.

The older version of this model is way better. This one looks dull and pale. It's missing some polished surfaces and the color of the dial just doesn't pop. The older version is way more attractive and has wrist presence. Also, it comes in 41 mm as well, the A1371311 which is simply and amazing piece. Below 11mm thickness, polished just about as needed and the dial is a joy to look at either in black or blue. I think it's the perfect Breitling and it'll suit anyone and any occasion.

Why not 44mm? I just bought one 41mm, feel the dial is small on my wrist, even smaller than a Rolex 36mm Oyster.

Overall, I like the new breitlings. The double indices at 6 are ok, but does it lead to disorientation in the dark?

alexandros1984 : i have the Watch since last year. The movement perform very well. The quality is amazing. And yes its Cosc.

Basically it is a nice and refreshing design. But a missmatch of the endllinks and the lugs shouldn't be on a over 3K watch.

That could be the reason the clasp gets loose people don’t read the instructions on how to close I like the out dated clasp myself

Very nice looking case, however not a huge fan of this bezel tho.

I had a Superocen 2, and I didn't like the antireflective coating on the outside of the crystal. It's easy to scratch, which defeats the whole object of a sapphire. I flipped it for a GS after the dial started turning around.

It will def scratch over years of use. But its hardened and hard to do. I would just get a replacement during its regular service and the issue is solved

The best looking Breitling!Amazing

A nice understated design from Breitling. It’s one of the ranges that I would go for from them, along with the Superocean Heritage and Transocean Unitime. I suppose even the quartz version is quite good - if you want a high end quartz.

Bland. The avenger gmt has more character, the colt chronos are ok too. I thought about breitling but got an omega instead. Id get an aquaracer over this colt and save some cash.

I have owned this watch for a long ow for a little longer then a year. It's a watch that grows in you with time. It's very special. If you own a few other watches you will really learn to appreciate this watch. Now... The crown... The crown is such a pain in the ass that sometimes it takes me a half an hour and a bruised finger in order to screw it down. It's very very annoying. Other people have the same issue. Breitling tried to skate me and say that this is normal. Made them bring another breitling /different model which screws down just fine... So now I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to see what's gonna happen. They will never be able to fix this issue. Most likely I will get rid of it because of that... Very disappointed in breitling because of this issue and shitty customer service...

Breitling were unique in size and design. The new guy in charge is making them look like the mass of watches out there, sad situation and totally boring.

First thing I have noticed is that end link WTF?! that just looks bad on the watch and for the image of the brand I couldn't live with that. I think that an aquaracer is a better option and for less than half the price.

Oh Christ, first time finding this channel and greeted by the obligatory generic "lifestyle influencer" music in the introduction. Almost made me turn off immediately. Glad I perservered though, good video and I think I'll go check this out at the AD today...
