What material is the pressure plate made from? How does it not abrade the hose?
maintenance question: If the specialized lubricant becomes thick, almost foam like; and begins coming out of the fill hole that way; is that a sign of the inner hose needing replacement?

Possibly - check to see if there is pumped product in the lube.

@@springerpumps5872 Ok thanks. It's possible, hoses haven't been replaced in may 4years. We run a magnesium hydroxide slurry thru them. Is the lubricant that is used just a glycerin or more specific?

Sorry for the late (very late) response. It is primarily glycerin, there is a silicon option as well. Watson-Marlow has a "proprietary" lubricant.... Have you spoken to you local rep since the comment?

and yes, I realize this one in the video is a dry running version, lol, but we have Bredel's oil filled pumps

ALL Bredel pumps are Lubricant filled; All Bredel pumps are dry-running, lube and dry-running are un-related.
where in india is this available . I need to try this for slurry
