Been excited for this since Bogren released that polish amp with this tech. It takes that IR "static-blanket" off of them, and causes non-stifled upper mids and highs. Gives them more presence in a pleasant and synergistic way rather than just noise. And it sounds much closer to some great recorded tones that there have been in the past (even gives a bit of the crunch of killswitch engage tones etc., and a tiny bit of the sag that's also on those tones as well). Great. Also almost removes the need for techniques like no-IR blending to get that tiny bit of cut, when you need that.

I trialed their last amp with this tech and it didn't do enough for me. I like the concept/idea more than what i was able to hear (and i have pretty good ears). I could hear a subtle and not so subtle difference when above 100% so I am not saying it doesn't do anything. I just never could find a sweet spot when messing with the slider. It either sounded too samey or was going too processed. I do appreciate Bogren Digital and what they do though, maybe I'll trial this one as well to test the standalone. Maybe I'll change my mind after testing this some more.

@@lenni-hazels This one does seem to be different from the one inbuilt to that amp. I get what you mean by the not being able to find a sweetspot. I think the stuff I hear in it is tiny miniscule and only noticeable as a thing when it's taken away to the complete opposite, or going from the complete opposite to the IRDX and being told what to listen for/expecting that exact thing which changes. I think a lot of things are probably a bit like this but marketing vids and even honest reviews do a great job at convincing you there's a better difference. They could have made the plugin more suited to the best use case for this form of signal modifying but I think they're going for getting a large amount of customers, and the best use case being for fewer, more specialised maybe, people. Who knows maybe they can integrate some suggestions and make it even better and suit a wider amount of people, that could be great. Apologies for the kind of ramble

Oh yeah, I've been waiting for a plug like this. Before you demo'd I was saying to myself please don't be another obvious smiley eq plugin 'enhancer'. This was subtle but noticable, doesn't just sound like eq, def adds depth and maybe most importantly, doesn't seem to require a remix if you go back and add it later. Nice job🤘👍

Have you tried adding it after something like an ampsim from Softube while tracking? I'm curious to see what the latency is.

so traded in my mig100h sovtek stack..too heavy now.. got a katana50, the amp models are too skinny...but if y run a ms800 model(via zoom g3n) thu the crunch model ...(+noisegate) and fat pickups like invader or bareknuckle painkillers..y get a fatter sound..models aint valves ,but layering the models and zoom noise gate works

I love content of Euge.He put in me a new love to Marshal.And he can create a fantastic sound.And I love Bogren.I use his stuff.But this time I have to call it the best '' Placebo IR '' I have ever heard.Sound of '' moving speaker ''and sound of compression that moving speaker creates?And how to prove it?I can hear change in EQ and depth.That is all.In my opinion I would like to be wrong this is only EQ and saturation trick.And if I was told that this plugin '' imitates '' move of the speaker and sound of it I would say '' yes''.But it says that '' it is exactly it ''.I need a prove.Meassure sound of my moving hand and how my hand compress an air by moving.Can you?

I usually love the Bogren stuff but for the life of me I can’t tell what this plugin actually does. Have been messing around with the trial and can sort of hear some very, very subtle differences in isolated tracks but in the mix it makes no difference whether it’s on or off.

I'm with you on this. For what they charge, it's 100% not worth it.

Waste of money, imo, i pretty much got the same desired effect by playing around with the Resonance control in NadIR.

Man do I miss playing a real amp through real speakers ….
