Although I love the energetic theme for Tears of the Kingdom, there’s something about Breath of the Wild’s theme that still invokes a feeling of sweet sorrow 6 years later; that’s a powerful theme that I had to listen to one last time! Edit: I recently started listening to BOTW’s music (and this theme) again while studying

You are nothing but a legend or myth to the people who know about you and everyone else could give a damn. In TOTK you’re kinda well-known, and if you have played BOTW you know the map and the people so it’s not so unfamiliar anymore; you’re confident.

which one? the one at ~ 1:05? or the one at ~ 1:46? edit 1: if the first cut represents him getting knocked unconscious, does the second one represent his waking up? or perhaps: does the first cut represent his waking up, while the second represents when he exits the cave and steps onto the cliff witnessing the beautiful landscape? or maybe it's 0:00 to 1:05 song starting represents Link waking up. *cut.* 1:07 to 1:46 represents the flood of emotions Link - and the player - feels upon getting to the edge of the cliff and gawking at the beautiful landscape. 1:46 to 2:00 the song slowly climbs to an end as Link runs down the slope. the end of the song representing the true beginning of the adventure to come. (the classic trope of "the end is also a new beginning") edit 2: actually, after the second cut, the song has one final closing key. which works even better. it represents Link having digested the experience. with the final key being his acceptance of what's to come. the role he's gonna have to take.

I hated nerds. My dad took me down to the basement to help set it up and sat with me for the first 3 hours of playing. He used to play Zelda as a kid and his eyes were just as big as mine. Running out and seeing all of Hyrule for that first time out of the Spring, with this music, changed my life forever. So much can be done with a few circles and some lines on a piece of paper. Ordinary people perceive music as just that, circles and lines, but to a musician, it is the living embodiment of sound itself! Creation incarnate! Just like art… Music is to musicians as art is to artists. For an artist, a canvas and paint are joy. For a musician, it is the feeling of an instrument in our hands, the wonderful notes being emitted through the careful movement of our fingers. The exploration in the middle, of a hyrule that collapsed but stabilized in the 100 years and is slowly recovering/ move forward. And the end the sense of urgency and pressure that is thrust onto link's shoulders to save hyrule, the princess, and free the champions' spirits. God I love thos theme.

honestly something I loved in botw that isn't in totk is how underpowered you feel, sure, you're the one who's gonna save the world, but everything else happens regardless, where as in totk you're constantly reminded that you're the one who needs to solve everyone's problems breath of the wild was a good name. the world is alive, and you can feel it

This is without a doubt my favourite Zelda track, ever. Right next to Gerudo Valley, The Song Of Time, The Song Of Storms, Basically the entire OoT soundtrack. But this takes the cake. I heard somewhere that the sound before the last note is link taking his first breath after waking up. Truly excellent work to whoever composed this brilliance.

Breath of the wild was my favorite game ever! And I was scared that TOTK would not meet the hype. And OH MY GOD DID IT REACH THE HYPE! TOTK is so beautiful, the story is great, and I’m incredibly happy. What a wonderful series.

I wish this music was in the title screen of Botw and played along with a montage of epic scenes or heck even the original trailer itself for the finished game. It's literally so perfect for the title screen's music. Kind of a shame its not in there but at least we can listen to it here.

I love TOTK. It’s my 3rd favorite game of all time. But there’s something about this theme that just fills me with a sense of wonder and adventure. Breath of the Wild will always be one of the greatest games I’ve ever played, regardless of how I rank the games I’ve played. That’s how good it is.
