TBH, it’s great that you’re just playing this game casually because I believe that’s the best way to experience Genshin. Most of the people who become unhappy or burnt out by the game are the ones who play it all the time.

the game will have many more "biomes" as you say, from what I see you don't know that at the moment there are tropical forests, deserts, an extremely deep mine, an "atlantis" and in the future there will be submerged areas, volcanic areas , mountains of ice and snow, islands in the sky and an entire nation under the earth

Personally, I think it’s best played in intervals. Take your time with the game, there’s no need to rush through everything. The reason why Genshin is so good, is the main story quest. if you’re just skipping dialogue, you’re missing half the fun. The Story and Characters are what make this game great.
