    Hi thank you for your video. I have a question…why do I get such a lot of condensation on my garage floor from my ac air handler please?

  • @alphaomegaairconditionings6373

    @alphaomegaairconditionings6373

    2 жыл бұрын

    To be honest I'm not sure but it sounds like the cold air is hitting the hot surface of the garage floor forming condensation.

  • @nigelsampson6018

    @nigelsampson6018

    Жыл бұрын

    Its the cool air air hitting the warm surface on the concrete floor. If the air handling unit is creating cool air this will happen. If you insulate the air handling unit this may stop it or slow it down.

    How can I get the return air grille down to clean. It appears locked and I'd like to give it a good scrub but to clean it while it's fixed to the ceiling would mean the walls would get grubby. Cheers

    @alphaomegaairconditionings6373

    Hi Miriam, sorry for the late reply. Hopefully you behave been able to get it open. If not it is pretty easy, usually there is a screw on one end. The screw is usually easy enough to unscrew using your fingers. If not you may have to use a screwdriver or pliers depending. Inside the filter will slide out but sometimes there are 2 crews, one on either side that lock it in. Once these are loosened then it will slide out. The screws are usually phillips heads.

    Does it matter which way it faces when you put it back in? I forgot to check which way it was sitting when I pulled it out.

  • @DanielVagg

    @DanielVagg

    Mine has a "smooth side" and a "rough side" where the rough side was facing down. Rough side was a bit damaged too, I guess from whoever installed it. There should be a locator hole where the screw pin goes. If this is the same for you, you should be able to get back into the same orientation as when you started, though which side is up probably has minimal effect if you've done a thorough clean.

    Please help me 😢 the cover on mine is held up with springs, i took it off and I cleaned the filter inside but the springs have come off and it’s incredibly difficult to get it back on

    Spring held grills can be difficult to work with. I suggest having the springs in place first then placing the one spring at a time on the filter grill. That is easiest way but can be very frustrating as it takes a bit of time. I hope this helps.

    How often do the flexi ducts need cleaning?

  • @alphaomegaairconditionings6373

    @alphaomegaairconditionings6373

    2 жыл бұрын

    There is no need to clean your flexi ducts. This is the job for the filter. It keeps out all the dust and other airborne contaminants going through the ducted system.

    You can vacuum the split filters but the ducted filters will rstart to rip if you vacuum them. The suction of a vacuum is to strong for the filter material used for ducted systems

    Hi Tom, thankyou for your question. There is nothing you need to do yourself on the aircon unit itself except just to make sure the outdoor unit is clear in front of the fan. Our service technicians or any service technician can go into more detail and check the unit itself.

    Mine looked disgusting all grey with dust. I hosed it with the garden hose on 'jet' setting (all the other settings didn't blast hard enough). It just made the dust wet (I was expecting it to fly off). A vacuum cleaner would damage the filter material?

  • @nigelsampson3194

    @nigelsampson3194

    Ray, yes the vacuum will damage the filter material and put holes in it. Sounds like you need to replace it. Watch my other video on how to replace your filter material, it's very easy.

  • @nigelsampson6018

    Yes that is correct. Next time use a softer jet on your hose and hose it from the non dusty side to push the dust off.

    I'm glad you think that is funny buddy. I actually had an accident on a ladder when it gave way and I fell 5 meters and broke both my ankles to the point of nearly loosing them. I spent 12 months in a wheelchair. So if you think ladder safety is something to laugh at fair enough. Hope it never happens to you mate.
