I look back at this video I wathed 5 years ago. I was 13 years old back then and never knew the journey I was going to be setting on. Breath of fire IV was a complete adventure for me and it changed my life. Such an epic game of devastating proportions, I have never touched a game that has impacted me as much as this one and you are part of it Buruno, even now I'm still your fan, Hope you read this bro been watching your vids since 2008 and still a vivid fan!

i love how it went from a disaster to a catastrophe, to a super nova.

It's that place where Ryu goes berserk, where Ursula switches sides, if I remember correctly. If you come back later in the game, you'll find the Trunked monsters. Perfect for combos since they have enormous amounts of HP.

Saw this after so many years and only today I learned about the 3rd character combo with Ryu. I wish I could’ve done all those back then 😩

cant remember how much time i spent against those trees, but i remember that i actually did some incredibly special combos with ryu and scias, tons and tons of multiple hits.. many years have passed, but if i remember correctly, those trees were used for powerlevelling or something like that.. i think i'll replay this gem someday..

Yea i felt a connection with the BoF3 story more so then BoF4 with the whole orphan situation. Plus sitting there watching a train roll down the track waiting to play the game, only to realize i had to break out of the cage myself was a good opening to 3 and i was hooked from there. They both are good its just who you are will deside which is your favorite.

And don't forget Mjollnir with wind lv1-3+water lv3(become Thunder storm)+Pa Bing 'Ah(become Mjollnir). Unfortunately it isn't available because without hack the program only Fou-Lu Tyrant and Serpent own it

There was another "combo" of sorts which, though it did not transition to a "super spell" like Super Nova, Catastrophe or Earthbreaker, could do truckloads of damage. To do so, you need Scias, Cray and Kaiser Ryu. 1. Scias uses 'Spirit Blast' 2. Cray uses 'Super Combo' 3. Kaiser Ryu uses Breath Enjoy. Then there is the famous 70 Hit Combo, AKA, the 'Celerity' combo. Give 'Celerity' to anyone other than Scias or Nina. Scias and Nina must use 'Vitalize'. It works like this: 1. Someone uses 'Celerity' 2. Scias uses 'Vitalize' 3. Nina uses 'Vitalize' If all went well, rejoice at the 70 hits. If not, bad luck. You can only use 'Celerity' once every 30 minutes (in game time).

mjollnir is not actually fake you can get it as it programmed into the game but the only way is to use a game shark to give ryu the pabingah spell i think kaiser was supposed to have it but it was left out by mistake

Yes, you can kill them, put attacks buffs on Ryu and debuffs like weaken and douse on 1 trunked, then fire strike...so much damage

@Idolores Agreed! I think if BoF had the gene system it would have matched up in comparison. I kinda missed weretiger too :D.

and here i am amazed the first time using eruption combo

we can't help but have favorites. i also was bored of BoF4 the first couple of hours. but as the story progresses, it is much more immersive, you will feel it. you will have more allies, more skills, dragons, the faeries, etc. it will be more fun i assure you.

To be honest, BoF4's 360 camera thing is really confusing, and the game's too cryptic without a walkthrough, not to mention you can't customize the controls. BoF3 has a place in my heart, and always will. I've beaten the game 20 times and still haven't gotten sick of it, and yet I'm only an hour into BoF IV and i'm already ready to quit. .-.

true but even if ryu has a pa bing'ah the mjollnir atk will be weak cuz i saw that spell it just damage once per character and it doesnt have any effect unlike earth breaker or supernova..etc i saw it on the dragon in fou-lu's castle i thinks the boss name is "dragonne" i think..

I know its late but how to overcome ryu kaiser massive AP depletion each turn ? Is it based on level or how high ryu overall status are ? I mean in this video 47 AP each turn, its just insane amount of depletion.

The cost of Kaiser is equal to Ryu's level multiplied by 2 and then each turn drains half that amount I believe. The best way around that is to have Ryu train under a master that increases his AP each level

Nii Kojo English version had some. They were minor, but most were silly. I can understand censoring FouLou beheadin' someone, but the bathscene and Ryu accidently placing his hand on Ursula's chest is another.

i managed to kill one once. i think that i had a supped up Ryu use super combo as a Kaiser alongside a gigaflare combo from a supped up Nina and Ursula.

you know when i pulled of earth breakear against fou-lou on his last form I was like yay then when I saw how much damage it did I felt VERY cheated as when the boss did it it hurt like hell, still pulling of supernova four times on the bounce made up for it still can't believe I did that.

Could've shown Mjollnir, even though it's only obtainable via gameshark. It follows the same skill sequence as other supreme combos though.

Kaiser's Supernova pwns Sephiroth's Supernova.

i think mjollnir is not real cu'z ryu doesnt have pa bing'ah...

If you know how to use cheats in epsxe, than you don't have to use CHEAT ENGINE, or even do the combo to get the supreme combo magic spells or even MJOLLNIR :). Use better epsxe 2.0 or higher for this to work. Here is all that you need :). Go to this site megalixir.cc/psx/breath-of-fire-iv/#cheat-1-8, and this one www.wescastro.com/codetwink/cheats.codetwink.com/psx/view/1030/26/default.htm That is all that you need :). You can even use SOUL REND or any other spell that is in the game by yourself, the enemies or the enemy bosses :). There are some exceptions in which some spells do crash te emulator and cannot be used... Btw, this is for the NTSC version of BOFIV. Just put the two digits into/instead the two last digits with the two question marks of the magic spell that you want to use in the Magic slot modifier codes, or in the skill modifier codes and thats it :)

how to make 70 hit use CRAY skill Celerity from ABBESS 6 Hit use NINA ablitity Vitalize.... 6 x 4 from Celerity Status = 32 Hit use SCIAS ability Vitalize.... 6 x 4 from Celerity Status = 32 Hit Total 70 Hit and ur Master will be proud

I used other strategy: Use Faery Charge, Them Faery Attack, and ending with Tiger Fist with a 2 hit sword. BOOM 136 hits.

you can use the 6th dragon breath attack which gives a lot of debuffs as 3rd attack. I used this strategy: Super Combo with Ursila's shotgun + Scias's Tiger Fist, then breath attack of 6th dragon

dont agree. bof4 is better, better history, better final boss. have played both with killing everything and really dont think that.
