How do you differentiate Mastitis from abcess in a clinical scenario?

Usually you’ll feel the presence of a fluctuant mass with an abscess that will be absent in mastitis. And if any doubt remains after physical exam, ultrasound is your first line diagnostic test to definitely say whether or not there is an abscess present.

I changed the mnemonic to "KNOCCERS" to help me remember Cirrhosis. Lol I still pronounce it as "knockers" for the sake of the mnemonic.
