He is trained extensively in General Surgery (M.S) from the best institute in Karnataka - The Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute and Victoria Hospital, Bengaluru. He has further trained for three years, exclusively super specializing in cancer surgery at the Omega hospital, Hyderabad, a leading cancer treatment centre of South India.
