It's good to check every single time you shower, breast cancer is horrible and I wish all kinds of cancer could be done away with.

Thank you Dr Tasha, I had so much anxiety about my breasts because I used to always do this wrong (with the ends of my fingers) because no one had ever taught me and then I'd think that my glands are cancer. Your videos have helped alot. Thank you for teaching us how to do this properly, this should be taught in school

Thank you for this video. My mom has been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and our doctor has told me and my sisters to be more cautious and check ourselves more often as we may be more at risk of also getting breast cancer later in life. I wasn't sure if I was doing it right. This helped a lot!

You are very welcome. Glands feel like small peas. If you have had a cough or cold and your neck glands swell up, that is the same as what armpit glands feel like. Hope that is helpful.

How do you tell if under the arm pit is a lump or just normal? Should you lie down when checking the arm pit or has that changed. One feels different to the other. My advice to anyone who finds a lump is to get it checked by a doctor. That way you find out what it is.

I found a bump (lump) on the top part near nipple of right chest side yesterday. Been sick for 3 days now today when I woke up my right arm around shoulder area is hurting and under that arm seems to be swollen up a bit (I had a bug bite me under that arm at least a year ago it never went away all of a sudden it's flat for first time since it happened). Part of my thinking is saying of no it's just a pimple while another is saying ok this isn't good signs nows not the time to just push through it. Does none cancerous bumps (lumps) spread like that or is this a sign that it is cancerous? I've been trying to see a doctor since yesterday I don't drive so been working around with 3 people trying to figure it out only just got the name of the place to call about appointment.

Theres an obvious difference near my latissmus doris muscle (one side bigger than the other.) How do i tell if its my muscle or is it a lump? I also recently discovered a small pimple like bump on upper breast and just did a visual/physical exam and everything seems fine besides the pimple like bump and the difference under armpit area.

I can see brown circles around my nipples on one side, is this normal??

I have an intermittent pain in my right breast. It stops me in my tracks then quickly passes but it goes in like this all day. I had radical hysterectomy 4 yrs ago so I’m post menopause. I do use HRT gel. There are no lumps I can feel but it is tender where the pain occurs. Should I be concerned? My GP isn’t pleasant and I hate going.

Also this might be a really childish question, but is there a limit to how much you should give yourself breast exams? You can’t cause yourself to get hurt or to get breast lumps about how much you check right?

Hi, a good frequency for checking is once a month. You don't need to do it more than that. If you poke it too much, it can cause bruising. Hope that's helpful.

If they have been diagnosed to be fibroadenomas then they can be safely left alone. Unless they increase in size then they should get checked again.

Doctor? I feel 0 lumps in my breasts and armpits I checked myself about three times a day, I have such bad anxiety about hospital and doctor visits after recent trauma that I am so consumed by my health and the thought of having this type of cancer scares me I have no breast cancer in my family, actually no cancer at all, does this even play a role in how much of a percent you could get it, also I’m on the Nexplanon implant which causes me to have uncomfortable breast pain and cramps. Should I be worried, I talked to a doctor and they said it’s normal but like I said I’m consumed with being a very healthy person

Yes, you can still do a breast examination even when breast feeding.

There are lumpy tissues..like a rough surface ..I had previously gotten them examined but nothing came out. How normal is this?
