It's a team sport yes, Mitchell is a phenomenal player, Aleya is a phenomenal player. These 3 still alone can't take this team to a playoff, it takes 7 or 8. Now in saying that CC is different because her position PG gives her the opportunity for the triple double but look, she's just starting her career and what she's doing is incredible. But she can't do it alone Period. The season isn't over so there's room for Angel Reese as well as Clark to be rookie of the year. Let's face it Reese is a Forward her roll is different but she's doing phenomenal as well. This is what is making people watch the WNBA. But let's face it CC has to be rookie of the year the league is depending on it. Money talks no matter how you look at it. Can't wait for the rookie of the Year award for either of these two superstars. 😊

Stewart is an excellent player, but her comment made her look petty and jealous and stupid. She damned CC with faint praise, and then CC shoved her words right back down her throat. Maybe Stewart, who seems like a nice person but has the public personality of a bowl of plain oatmeal, just can't stand a charismatic star who shines so brightly and is so adored by millions. As talented as she is, no one besides hard core WNBA fans go out of their way to buy a ticket or watch a game because Breanna Stewart is playing. Caitlin Clark There’s never been a Caitlin Clark. She’s Iowa’s finest work of art. Unselfishly she plays her heart. She paints good pictures of our parts. If we could share, on the court of life- Give real assists to those alive- And score some points that count for good, This world would change, perhaps it should. The way that Caitlin plays inspires. She obviously is filled with fire. But she maintains the calm approach. She’s not disturbed when she’s encroached. She tries to help her teammates score. She’s a leader whom they adore. Her fame is built on true finesse. A humble spirit describes her best. She’s deceptive with the ball. Unlikely will they steal at all. She tries to help to make her team Feel supreme in all their dreams. Success she’s found upon the court. And her example has import. If we could all just share the ball This world would change, we’d hear God’s call. Caitlin if you read this rhyme Know I love your play design. You inspire us with your play. @@mikehall4517 it's actually really good, for a point guard. it just sounds dire, so user-ox1nc9nk2i tosses it in to throw shade on CC. typical hater posting. a point guard's job is to be a playmaker, distribute the ball -- so they have to make a lot of passes. and that means an increased possibility of turnovers. and unless the turnover is clearly the receiver's fault, it's listed to the person passing. she needs to get better at passing, AND her teammates need to get better at receiving. AND their coach needs to motivate them to work on that, and practice it, and accept that yes, as they keep learning there will be turnovers, so you'd better be ready for them, and not get caught flat-footed. but CC haters love to emphasize that she has a lot of turnovers. gives them something to complain about, that their favorite players don't do -- because if you're not a point guard, you don't HAVE to pass. so you're going to have fewer turnovers. apples to oranges. a fundamental problem with deciding who's ROTY, or MVP: players play different roles. and rookies are still learning about their team, and the league. but clearly CC is exceptional, whether she gets on the Olympic team or not, whether she gets ROTY or not, whether the Fever get to the playoffs or not.

Hate to say it; but this is what Christie Sides did well, today: 1. Kept Wallace Out & Hull IN. Minimized Eric Wheeler's Play. 2. Putting in the new player, Dimiris Dantas., who got 7 pts going 3 for 3, with 5-6 minutes total playing time. 3. Called 2 critical time-outs to halt the 2 major runs put up by the Liberty Team. What Caitlin did well: 1. Stopped shooting 3's when she when the well went dry 2. She sped up the pace of transition after missed shots by the Liberty, getting loose balls on def rebounds. 3. This pace caused the Liberty to have to move off the boards for OFFENSV Rebounds which gave CC more loose ball DEF rebounds. What Lexi Hull did well: 1. DEF Stops on Olympic Level Talent 2. Got 2-3 strategic loose ball OFFENSIVE Rebounds; she's been proving herself on that one all season. 3. She plays Caitlin's type ball and actually sets CC up for some 3's when she's out there on the court. What Nalissa Smith did well: 1. She has obviously practiced a little bit on fouls shots. What Kelsey Mitchell did well: 1. She has decided to relax enough to play off-ball-point-guard, allowing Caitlin to be the field general. 2. When the shot clock is running down & nothing is going in; give it to Kelsey. 3. Twice Kelsey advanced down court; quickly & found out that CC advanced the ball to her both times on fast breaks NOTE: Have someone else other than Boston or Smith to bring the ball in for they are jogging too slow up the court & are single-handedly slowing down the whole damn game. CC is constantly pushing the ball down the court which opens up shots for everyone. QUESTION: This is my pet-peeve; but can someone make a lay-up without the ball bouncing around the rim, so much. Because I am an obsessive about higher quality basketball, learn how to bounce the lay-up much higher off the backboard, so it falls back through the net more cleanly. Use Kelsey Mitchell & Lexi Hull as examples of ones who do it right. SUMMARY / CONCLUSION: The Level of Play of the WNBA has been so mediocre for so long that one player CAN improve the look & feel of a last place team to put that same team into first time ever Play-Off contention. Christie Sides needs to watch the film replay footage of this game over -n-over to take notes because Caitlin Clark has deservedly earned the position of 'team field general' & Coach sides needs to make all her decisions with that in mind, that that has happened. (No Going Backwards on that achieved milestone) For the 2 minutes that Caitlin did not play at the end of the 2nd quarter, the Liberty caught up about 8 pts of a 14-point differential. Eric Wheeler coming in seriously interrupted the flow of what CC had established. Maybe only suffer damage by having CC only go out for 1 minute before the end of the half. CC has proven to be the team's spark plug player.

Fever makes a solid run into the finals, now is the only thing stopping her rookie title and, potentially putting her into the top 5 overall.

I love Catlin ,but this is getting out of hand in people thinking all players are hating on CC.Brianna is a post player just like Angel.Of course she is going to favor Angel more.Everyone one just need to calm down and just enjoy the ride. This is just Brianna personally. She has always been like this.

bear in mind that most of us online are responding to other online fans. and the CC fans and CC haters have a long-standing feud. so "someone dissed my favorite player!" is a natural lead-in to "my favorite player should be ROTY, and your favorite player should be sleeping with the fishes!" lots of drama, not much actual constructive content. "calm down and enjoy the ride" is good advice, but nobody online is planning to do that except people like you, who already are. and we're just hoping the players don't take that verbal oneupmanship seriously, and can just play their game and get along.

There are 3 players in the entire WNBA that are in the Top 20 in every major stat. Breanna Stewart is one. Caitlin Clark is the only rookie on that list.

Thanks to Sides, CC didn't previously get multiple triple doubles, this should have been just another one in a series of triple doubles.

Why this fussing over ROTY when the season is barely half over? Analogy: some say Gronk was the greatest tight end ever to play in the NFL (now surpassed by Travis Kelce.) But no one says that Gronk was the GOAT. Gronk was the best at his position. But Tom Brady ran the show and made Gronk the greatest. Brady, not Gronk, is appropriately considered the GOAT The best rebounder and occasional high scorer isn't in the same "league" as the greatest floor general who runs the show and leads the team to victory. Still, wait til "election day" before casing the ballots.

I agree, once the game slows down for Caitlin she's probably gonna become a Luka Doncic like player. She's already developing a midrange game while the season is going. She will be a walking triple double.

imagine if she hits a few threes she is at a 30 point triple double. Her passing is overshadowed by her 3s but it maybe a getter attribute to winning.

3 pts. then and now difference? That happens when sides keeps it ego out of game. U do know cc would of have her second triple double, today. But sides stopped her. This guy's an idiot.

he's actually a CC fan, but not unhinged about it. he realizes CC could have had her first triple double last game. but he apparently doesn't like to spend a lot of time talking about how incompetent coach Sides is.

I don't think she changed as much as the Fever changed to her style of play. If you watched Iowa, she is just getting comfortable in playing in Indianapolis and getting her teammates to trust her talent/style and be ready for the ball.

They say her defense isn't any good but her stats don't really say what people are seeing. She's also not supposed to be the better defender on the court. She can't put up double doubles(assist&points) and triple doubles and be the best defender out of 5 on her team.

CC has been taking it to UConn lately. The team in last year's NCAA playoffs, recently "Dinosaur" Taurasi with the Phoenix win, and today with a win against Breanna (I can't keep up with this pace) Stewart. Are you paying attention Geno? I think CC has an internal ax to grind against UConn and she's taking care of business. Love it!

There are only three players in the league that are top 20 in points, assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals per game. Clark is one of them. She is already in the best three all around players in the league. Meanwhile, Angel Reese is one of the most one-dimensional players in the league. If it wasn't for Angel ability to grab her own rebounds 3 or 4 times a game, no one would be talking about her.
