Breaking your opponent's posture down - Closed Guard (timestamped)

#closedguard #jeanjacquesmachado #bjj
We all know guard is about controlling your opponent's posture. When we control our opponent with a collar sleeve grip inside the closed guard, we can use the principle off knee-elbow connection to apply a great downward force that helps break your opponent down. Professor Jay Zeballos teaching at the Jean Jacques Machado academy HQ in Woodland Hills, CA.

Not sure who this professor is but absolutely fantastic. I get to collar n sleeve in close guard n it’s a struggle to break someone down sometimes bc of my ‘weak leg’. Can’t wait to try.
