Once the snow is two feet deep and there's no trail, I don't go there, especially if it's powder. I break trail with my VK or Cheyenne. I'm too big for the tundra LT. I can't stand diggin out all the time. I'm in Ester at 1500 feet. I learned that if the trails not broke, it's not gonna work after a while.

I’ve broke trail on both the Tundra and VK. Most of my sticks are operator error, I’m learning to use all the ponies the VK has. Usually if I stick the tundra I’m asking too much of it. I’ve got another video where the VK floats through the deep, literally hip deep. That was a decent day.

I have slowed right down, just managing a few snares for coyotes at bait stations.

north61 sadly that tall windshield blew off when I was trailering from the house to the line one day! I was pretty sad. I believe this is a 91.

Does your Tundra have plastic skis or skins? I've got a 97 tundra and want try running a wider ski? Looks like crazy tough going.

Aaron Alto I believe it has metal skis, with plastic skins.

Thanks. I just watched a vid of a guy on power modz put some skins on old Elan skis. He just drilled his holes in the skin as needed and used a mapp gas torch to do some heating and bending for better fit. I have a 92 tundra more like your, then my dad passed a 97 LT and that does better in deep snow. It's worth putting skins on old skis in your opinion, better handling and float? Aaron Alto I think so if you have soft snow deep enough to warrant it. Here in Fairbanks it is, back gone we usually had hard wind blown snow that wasn’t worth it.

@@TemplesLongtailsandFurs I'm in N MN and we can get deep loose powder and I'm riding new snow on logging road or stuff like in your vid and I want my front end to float more easily instead of me trying to get weight back all the time to keep the front end up. Thanks I'm inspired.
