Breaking the Mold
Today I want to explore the idea of "breaking the mold" and re-live my childhood fantasy by playing with play-doh!

You may not have legs, but you have so much more than so many people. Your laugh is sunshine on this cloudy day.
I was diagnosed with RA and Sjogrens about 5 years ago and it is hard to get people to understand that this is a disability as well because it is considered an invisible disability. And having found your channel has made me fill better and keep smiling it brightens up the room. Tell the hunk a Jake hi and he needs a hair cut. Your both hunks and Jake is very missed.

I really hate the invisible Disabillity part. I look like anyone else so people assume I can do things I can’t. I was in Costco one day and asked a guy if he could lift a pot onto my cart. The look he gave me made me feel like I was trying to be such a diva. Just because I can get into a store without much trouble doesn’t necessarily mean I can make it back out unaided.

Sorry if this seems ignorant but what are RA and Sjogrens? I haven't heard of them before and I'm just curious.

Was that Jake reflected in the mirror? Speaking of that mirror, it's so darn cool. LOL!
It sounds like you broke out of your molds a little earlier than I did. (I was backward. It took me a long time to recognize my molds didn't fit.) Kudos for talking about it.
I do not know how Spencer ended up in my KZread algorithm. What I do know is that I’m thankful. After a long difficult week at work and my social life. Watching Spencer be his most authentic self and trying because nobody is perfect. It helps me reflect and understand that all of us are going through something. We live in our head with our own POV and sometimes that digs a hole and we get stuck there. Thank you Spencer for your messages they do resonate.
Breaking the mold? You shattered it! I'm so proud of you, Spencer. 🤟
Thank you so much for this powerful message! I'm a 51 year old, straight, non-disabled woman, and I totally relate to what you are saying. Many blessings from Northern California!!!
Live your channel so much!! My life has become infinitely better when I claimed the "I'm disabled" button even if it took me a lot of years. I knew I was queer and celebrated it early but celebrating disability took so much longer because I really did buy into it being uncelebratable. Lots of folks helped show me how awesome disability can be (along with the known crap like no ramps and everything similar). Thanks for being one of the places I can go to feel good.
Love your message. So true! Tell Jake next time to quit walking around as his reflection kept going by on the art piece behind you and my eyes would catch the movement and ping from you to the reflection. 🥴
I dont know you... but I think you would be a great friend!!! So many videos, but not enough time to watch every single one. I've only watched a number of your videos. You have an awesome perspnality.. And I'm sorry some people just dont accept you the way you are!! Those people shouldnt and dont matter... just smile and wave at them..
Tick tock "Oh they're done!" You are so funny! Then I recover from that giggle, and you mention the Old Navy hottie. 😂 That's what I want! Lol.
God I love the smell of Playdoh! My favorite saying is "Be a Fruitloop in a world of Cheerios " Your advise is helping scores of young people.
❤️ Such an important message! You are SUCH A BRIGHT LIGHT SPENCER! I love EVERYTHING about you and you put the biggest smile on my face when I need it most! ❤️
You are such a ray of sunshine and you radiate such positive energy. Thank you for sharing your experiences! :)
You're incredible. Truly .. I love your mind ❤️
I totally dig you! I like your "can do" and 'make it happen ' attitude!!!!!!
So inspirational Always!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love this video and I look up to you Spencer. I also struggle and did when I was younger of mold and stereotypes that didn’t feel good to be. Being yourself is great and honestly it makes me so much happier to just be and say whats in my brain sometimes. I hope many others like me can see this video and learn through you and your life. So cool : )
Thank you 🙏 so very much Spencer! You are so needed!
You are WONDERFUL. Thank you for sharing.
This was so cute and fun!!🌻

He is so sweet! Why can't everyone be like him?
I found your channel not too long ago, and I ended up subscribing because you’re not the typical obnoxious KZread’s that tries too hard to entertain. I really enjoy the way you speak to the camera. It feels like you’re talking directly to me and having a conversation while I do my homework or make dinner. It really feels like I have a friend there conversing with me about their life. Thank you for uploading videos. I really enjoy listening to you talk about your life and the experiences you’ve had.
I watched twice for that description of a mold ;-) lol

I like steam locomotives, and a little bit of Thomas and Friends, but I have friends none the less! Be yourself!
Every person is a mold of its own, which is what makes us unique and beautiful in our own way; and is something that we are not allowed to let no one take away from us. #loveyourself
I’m a 32 year old adult and I’m jealous that you have a play doh oven set.
Spencer I must confess that the first time I watched one of your videos I was wondering if you really existed. Now I realize that you are for real even though you are an amazing person. Lots of love from Spain 🇪🇸🙋💖💖💖
You are my spirit animal...no, scratch that, you are my spirit person?? Lol anywhooo keep up the amazing energy and good vibes!!

❤️❤️❤️ thank youuuuuu!
Spencer, your videos literally make my video. Keep going :)
Bravo! I have MS and people seem to have expectations about how I “should be.” SMH. I am still me and I am continuing to be me!

I haven't had too much of a problem ignoring molds I was expected to fit in but I did get a lot of resistance from my mom. Luckily I was too stubborn and good at arguing for it to internalize!
You are FANTASTIC !!!!!!!
Growing up Catholic is hard for people who are gay. My son struggled with the too. The uses art to express his feelings. You're awesome!
Thank you for your video!!! 💗
We've never met, but I love you Spence!
I love you Spencer ❤️
Needed this today.❤️
You are so right!!!!
Thanks for all your great videos! Love the message in this one (and most other ones). The gold thing on the wall behind you here, what is that? «Simply» a great decoration, or does it symbolize anything special? (I don’t live in North America, so not sure if I would be able to get it anyway, but I really love it!)
Great message Thanks
I ordered your book,it arrived and i literally read from cover to cover non stop.i thorouhly enjoyed it.i think it should be required reading for all ages because you cover bullying and disa bilities and that when there is a will, there is a way Hugs and smiles your way🤗🙂
I love you for helping us understand

I adore you !
Back in college, I had this French kid that was obsessed with me. He was disabled (in a wheelchair). He was cute, charming and I did like him. But I rebuffed his advances. I was terrified that I would be accused of taking advantage. I realize now, that I didn't fully respect his autonomy.
Spencer you are so funny and inspirational😘 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Really good lesson. And also interesting because sometimes these People who are saying these mold things are close to us and that’s why we think we should fit into these things. Like our parents talking to us. It’s hard. But part of the process
YESSIR oh my god! This is so important!
I love the glasses!
Thank you. You helped me today.
I totally agree with you on that It is so good that you are your beautiful self and that is the way it should be for you and.... basically ,all of us Hugs 🤗🤗 and smiles your way
Spencer, when was the last time someone told you that your awesome? Cause if it hasn't been recently, your awesome.
Another wards put your expectations aside and just be you❤️😁
Such an important lesson for neurodivergence as well ❤️
How are you managing during Emergency Brake!? Great video!!!
Good advice!
Wow that was beautiful
Loved the video
So KZread just dropped me at your doorstep. You’re awesome, so I’m going to come in and make myself at home 😁
Thanks for this! I've been doing some self discovery during the pandemic and I've come out as nonbinary and stopped trying to fit in to the mold of "woman". It's made my life so much better. I heard somewhere that we're like cats - If someone puts us into a box, we are unhappy and immediately get out. But we happily get into our own boxes because they're what fits us.
Lol Jake in the mirror
I love listening to you🌹
KZread brought me here, I’m staying #subbed
Greetings, Spencer. I love watching your videos. Not sure how I first found them. I always learn something new. Thank you for sharing. I do have a question, though; and you seem responsive to inquiries here. I mean no disrespect, but am wondering about the "health" of your hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders. You move with ease by walking on your hands; and from your story, you've been doing it a long time, so there might be some sort of 'adaptive' process over the years (a kind of evolution?) to your arms/hands, etc. I guess out of necessity, your joints have *adapted* to the strain tthat the joints weren't created for? Do you experience ant soreness, fatigue? I am thinking you might have calluses(sp?) on your hands, due to the way you use them? One of the great engineering feats of our bone / muscle / ligament / etc. structure is how our legs/feet were built to handle walking, etc. The amount of pressure on our feet by walking, even just standing. And here you are, walking with arms/hands. (I know, with less body mass). Just curious if you experience any medical issues from using your arms/hands "as they were not originally intended" (if legs were present). Again, it might be due to years of adaptation. (I lack the need to use handa/arms to walk; so, I know I'd fail if I were to start trying; as it isn't a requirement for me. My body would rebel.) Thank you for your time and expertise. Regards, DeAnna, [she/her/hers] [USA, Cis female / straight]
I find your voice very relaxing
You are one beautiful person!
You are you a fabulous person
❤️
🌿🌿🌿!!!....Love you Man....!!!🌿🌿🌿
GOD i LOVE you
Hi new best friend! For once, I’ve been directed to a channel that is meaningful and positive. I’m Tracey from Virginia. Nice to meet you! 😄
I had to embrace my invisible disabilities. Asthma, and hearing loss. I do tell people right off im hearing impaired.it makes life much less annoying to explain, rather than the constant,i missed that...
this makes me feel better bc i feel like the family disappointment

You are so not their disappointment! ❤️But they are yours.
I’ve written this before and I will repeat it here….I just don’t see you as disabled. May I suggest a new label if you must have one….I see you more as enabled than anything else. Your videos are a joy to watch….euh, I guess that’s because YOU are a joy. Love the beard!
Just recently found your channel and I’m obsessed! In a non creepy way 🤪 you have such a positive energy and I really feed off of that ☺️ so you’re my new best friend, call me every 5 minutes! 😇
You have fans all the way till Hyderabad, India. I'm one of them ❤️
Hi Spencer, i really liker your videos, i was just wondering if you use any kind of hand protection in order to move with them. Thanks and greetings from Argentina
You do more then people with full bodies daily. You are truly just alive
*You are handsome and funny with a beautiful smile and amazing personality!*
one god thing with been without legs is you don't need to think so much when it come to clothes like just put on the shirt jacket and go out
3:36 well it is for religious people as it says so in religious texts it's partly why they don't run things anymore
