@@aarongreen8325 With fans like aaron who needs opponents? Everything that I've seen written about him or that GTJ has commented on, shows a good teammate who appreciated living and working here in Toronto. I say bundle your hate up for the bad characters - not Gary. Gary would have been signing for $20 million per year and up, but the CBA was changed and the whole market for the pure shooters who don't do much else is limited with the Cap changes. The agent shouldn't get a nickel from Gary.

Gary is going to be lucky to get 10+ mill/year at this point. His agent completely failed him but hes not the only agent that's done that. Caleb Martin and his agent turned down a 5 year/65 mill extension from Miami. He ended up signing for 4 years/32 mill. Lol I'd be firing my agent.

Yeah gtj had his opportunity toprove his worth end of season when he was starting. And while everyone was injured or getting busted gambling or prayers and strength to barrett fam for their loss he should have led the team. Instead he bet on himself and just started chucking and launching 3s rather than prove he could fit in darkos system. I want BB traded but he has so much more to offer than gtj and who would you rather have mentoring the youth? A 1 dimensional 3pt specialist or a nba champ who played with murray and jokic? Yeah id rather spend on that and bank on Gradey replacing gtj mentored by BB and Temple Tysm gtj and hope you get picked up elsewhere in the league. As for boucher. Again its tough to move him at iis age and salary. Most likely end up like Ryker: filler in some trade to another team.

That is the same for all shooters, though. Look at Klay. Gary has the same stats as old Klay does now. Klay has big games still, but other games can't hit a shot ... anywhere. If you can't defend well, the worth of the pure shooter is obviously less. It's tough to give away $20 million for one dimensional players nowadays.

Teams forced him to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim and he struggled. He’s a 20 scorer on a bad team. But I told you to trade him last year. I’m still upset at the raptors Bruce brown trade and not getting a draft pick to get a 3 and D centre. Portal Chris and Brown has to go I like Chris a lot but coach won’t play him and if Sasha stays his spot is gone. And we need a 3 and centre and another OG type 3 and d 6’9 guy. I really hope Bruce Brown can be flipped during Vegas Summer League and Chris Boucher (since Darko won't play him) so GTJ still has a viable path back to Toronto. A roster can never have too many shooters on it and GTJ was the Raptors best 3pt shooter on the roster. As well as, solving the Sasha Vezenkov roster spot quagmire. A starting 5 of IQ, GTJ, RJ, Barnes, Poeltl is solid. And backed up by a bench 5 made up of Mitchell, Brown, Dick, Vezenkov, Olynyk is a nice mix. With a deep reserve 5 of Shead, Walter, Agbaji, Temple, Mogbo is workable. Add in the 2 way guys Carson, Carton and Chomche and that's a nice 18 man roster. If not, GTJ should land on his feet somewhere via free agency or a potential S&T.

Gary.... i love my dukeys.... but he has hit his ceiling. Hes not going to get better and make this great leap. Norman powell was more consistent than him. Hes getting like 20. Gary your not worth 20. Much less 25. And youll be lucky ti get 15 at this pount outside of the hornets if they choose to over pay.
