Glove looks so small and took so long for it to completely close and glad I never had this problem but I do remember most gloves in the late 80's into the 90's were stiff as a rock and I would just soak it in water and tape it shut with a baseball in the pocket and two days later that glove was ready to go!

  • @billyyank5807

Less padding plus thick leather holds up more. Its just new leather. Its needs a good conditioning oil to help make it pliable. But i understand not wanting to put any oils on it. That leather looks great and any oils would immediately darken it.

Idk if you know this but if you get your glove put a ball in the pocket then put some rubber bands around it, put it in the microwave for 30sec after that use a bat or something the hit it should break in your glove some gloves need more than one time in the microwave also keep in mind that sometimes the leather can lose color.
