This makes it seem like the issue was... everything? Poor concepts/designs from the OC, bad decision-making from the QB, and failed execution/assignments from everyone else. Gotta give Warner credit for calling this throughout the season. He kept saying the Ravens offense wasn't on schedule, and that was painfully apparent here.

As a ravens fan I was surprised we were blowing out teams when I knew full well we can't get open and don't play on schedule. It felt more like Lamar willing big plays into existence at an insane rate.

At times it feels like this was a team expecting a mediocre season installing a new offense and turning over the roster. Instead it stumbled into a juggernaut defense and enough offense to go up against all but the most talented and tailored defenses. But those screens and deep shots we could never get consistent early in the season came back to haunt us when we needed them to beat the Chief's scheme, and they have to work next year.

@@mazeofthemind560 Fair point. It was interesting that in the presser immediately after the game, Lamar mentioned how it was the first year in the system. It’s easy to forget that, but striking when you remember a team like Kansas City has had the same offensive system for the entirety of the Mahomes era. We have to hope Monken’s system takes a major step with a full offseason of adjustment in terms of style and player fits.

Not just a new offense, an radically transformed skill group. By years end Bateman, Likely and HIll were the only familiar faces catching passes, and all three had limited roles and exposure to Lamar for various reasons. Lamar needs to become more of an anticipation passer, but that's a function of mutual, built-up familiarity as much as QB skill. There's a reason that Brady loved his security blanked WR, despite their physical limitations. This is why I get annoyed by people asking for big additions at the skill positions, I think there's a lot of potential benefits to continuity. RB is literally the only place I think we need significant investment, and maybe not even that depending on Mitchell's timeline, what they saw in Cook and whether they're active in FA. @@wieters1275

I think the coaching staff of the chiefs were just more prepared man. Im not sure why they didnt utilize OBJ and the running backs more. You jave to outscore the cheifs to beat them. Pat is too accurate and special to make mistakes. Ravens made timely mistakes and didnt plan well.

One of the biggest offensive game plan failures I’ve ever seen. They completely abandoned the run. The thing that got them there. They decided they didn’t want or need to do it. I cannot get over how terrible that second half was. They flat-out refused to run the ball. Incredible face plant from the offensive coaching staff.

On the second play in the video, on 3rd and 1, Monken decided to use our scat back (Hill) instead of our power back (Edwards). Gus Bus going downhill gives you a much better chance to get the one yard you need. The theme of the day seemed to be "Let's make things harder than they have to be."

The high ball to Hill in the flat is probably thrown that way because Lamar is anticipating Jones' hand being in his throwing lane. Which it is.... If the ball isn't high, Jones bats it down. He's just trying to give his guy the best chance at making a play.

Yes there were some missed calls but at the same time Jackson should have used more of his legs to run the ball. Also, he should have just passed or run to get a first down instead of trying to hurl it towards triple coverage. Also, flowers is to blame too with the taint and one yard line fumble. It would have been 17-14! Defense not so bad but too many fouls.

Its rigged, the Ravens were told to lose this game and so they did. They want you to think they were just playing bad. NFL called an audible when people exposed the Superbowl logo colors and had that not been exposed it would be Ravens vs 49ers just like the colors on the logo. Ravens would of blown out KC if they were allowed. Now you know why they get paid millions of dollars

"Modern-style quarterbacking," which has been made possible by allowing QBs to run without the consequences actual running backs must face (ie, getting hit), has made the position safe for QBs who can't make reads, either pre- or post-snap. "Processing"--a euphemism for intelligence, because we are not allowed to mention that lack of intelligence is a problem, but only lack of physical abilities--used to be a prerequisite to play the position. The position has been made a safe space for limited intellects.

Was Dan Marino smart enough ? He’s ringless just like Lamar just like Phillip rivers , Andrew luck , Matt Ryan , Ryan Fitzpatrick etc etc …

@@MikeTwice42 You obviously haven't read between the lines of this video. Lamar's success has been the result of the overprotection of running QBs, not because of his intellectual mastery of the game. If QBs had to pay the price that RBs do when they crossed the line of scrimmage this guy's carrer wouldn't have amounted to much.

My take = Lamar made the wrong decisions repeatedly and threw the ball inaccurately. The great Kurt Warner is being extremely nice, but it felt like a parent lovingly scolding his own child who is repeatedly making mistakes.
