I'm not so sure the opening quote is right. I remember watching _Echo_ and reacting to others watching _Echo_ and thinking it had some things in it people would be lost on even with the explanation the show gave, or at least it would seem there was more story out there people were missing. My mom felt that way after watching _Luke Cage_ and Iron Fist guest starred for an episode, also. But she's not a comic book watcher and thought the show sounded interesting not knowing there was connectivity. That episode is her least favorite episode because it made her feel like she was missing something even though she didn't have to watch _Iron Fist._ Most Sony films without Spiderman I use just to flesh out the MCU (and Sony would rather they not be a part of it) more than I do for thinking they are anything special. I forget they are/were (who knows at this point) even doing _Kraven the Hunter_ every time. Because Sony doesn't consider the Spiderverse movies part of any greater arc (every MCU connection was considered an easter egg by them rather than a multiverse connection) with is odd considering it's a movie about the multiverse, and while having The MCU out there) it will come out when it comes out. They're taking there time on that one. And truthfully, it doesn't have to be during any other specific releases. It could still be chronologically wherever it needs to be no matter when its released. 2025 is full on releases because 2024 is practically dead on releases. But that may also be because I am taking my time with _The Animated X-Men_ before watching _X-Men 97_ and therefore its been since January since I saw an MCU release. That a record between releases since _Endgame._ "Developing more shows than we produce" is one of the reasons some fans are confused. Those "some" don't always get that Marvel works so far out that the ideas they have won't always make it to final production. But everything nowadays is announced to the public far in advance early in development stages, even before being greenlit. It might be hard to get an X-Men movie before _Secret Wars,_ but maybe not. I also think seeing exactly what happens in _Deadpool & Wolverine_ will be a factor in what kind of movie and where it will need to be placed in the timeline. I think they will use Maphisto as a character eventually (if for no other reason than to have fans cheer New Rockstars for finally getting that theory 😁🤣), but I never expected a series or movie about him. _Hawkeye S2,_ for me, would have to be about Kate. I liked the idea of S1 being Clint's official retirement and passing of the torch to Kate. I don't usually worry about future things one way or the other until they are official. Curiosity is a different story.

To be honest, I like the idea of Marvel "developing more than they produce". Even if the projects they develop don't ever come out, the writers still know what they wrote, and they can develop ideas that can then bleed into the other projects as well. They can keep better track of the overall development of the MCU and it keeps the writers busy, which is good for staying in the flow and staying creative with fresh new ideas

Excellent points! Yeah, it seems that Marvel is okay with the idea of developing more than they produce and so if they feel it works for them, then I'm all for it. Was nice to hear Winderbaum explain their position so clearly.

@@AbitofEverything4U yea and they also have this thing of like they wont just throw characters away like the eternals, we'll see them again, it may not be in a straight up eternals 2 but we will be seeing their story continue. Honestly its really smart and even with this devloping more than they produce thing too like if they come up with an idea for like a ghost rider show and then ultimately decide no, they still have a story and they can incorporate that into something else when the time comes, or they can even save it and potentially do it later

Yeah, interestingly enough, the rumor likely started after the Steelbook was announced and had a small "1" in the lower corner, implying we'd be getting a season 2. I'd definitely be down for it, if that happens!

It's cool that they divided Marvel Studios into animation and TV, the biggest problem with a lot of the MCU Disney+ shows was that they looked like stretched movies instead of shows. Maybe they have a better management of the pace and plots now. Strange Academy could be cool for an animated show.

Well said...I think this will go a long way to improving Marvel television. Brad Winderbaum seems like a very smart guy and he has lots of exciting plans in store for us!

I was a PA on Agatha, it’s a musical with mature themes and it’s about Agatha with a team of witches going on a trail, I don’t want to spoil to much but prepare for musical numbers, also the first episode will be more like the first 7 episodes of wandavision then episode 2 will start the journey

I hope we don't get X-Men until after Secret Wars. They dont need to be forced into an already bloated saga, and shouldn't have heavy multiverse ties. It should just be a good, solid, X-Men movie.

Yeah, much as I'd love an Avengers vs. X-Men movie in Phase 6, it does seem like a better move to have the movie come in clean during Phase 7.

So many good news!!!!!!! So happy that they're listening to the fans complaining about having to watch all the projects just to understand a movie and are actively trying to solve it. Really looking forward to the future of the MCU!!!

Yeah, Brad Winderbaum was all over the news recently, giving so many good updates on the shows coming to D+. I think we'll be seeing more of him now, as he's covering the shows and Feige is covering the movies. Very cool!

I guess my thought are that back in the day (AKA 5-6 years ago) MCU used to announce less projects than before and would deliver on them. Now it feels like the MCU’s catalog of announced content/projects exceeds the number of project that they’ve recently made. And they announce these shows and movies so early that they ultimately get pushed back 2 years later than when they announced it. For example, Armor Wars should be out now. That project was one of the most early announced shows by Marvel, but now Agatha’s show is coming out before that. I get that they are trying to get the public excited, but it feels like for every 5 projects that get announced 1 gets actually released and on time

Yeah, it's been rough recently. Between the pandemic and the writer's strike, as well as other tragic situations like Boseman's death and unforeseen issues like Majors' problems, Marvel has had alot to deal with. So I'm not surprised that the schedule has been pretty messy. But unless something else major occurs, I suspect we'll get back to seeing things come out on time. Fingers crossed!

Sony was just been money hungry for Spider man 4 to be 2025, But Marvel Studios says they’re gonna start filming in the end of the that year

You know honestly looking at this makes me dread that they didn’t learn their lesson in the long run and that it’s because they are not delaying secret wars to at least 2028 and the fact they thought having over double the amount of main installments in half that time was good Like im dreading this will be like Ninjago crystalized which was an awful finale but at least pretty visuals this won’t even have that and yet it would be more widespread and seen to the public compared to a Lego show, meaning this could be the movie equivalent of the universe ending

Yeah, I am really hoping Secret Wars gets moved to 2028. I'd like to get all the content they are planning, but I don't see how it's even remotely possible with Secret Wars in 2027. Fingers crossed we get big updates at SDCC 2024 in a few months and that Secret Wars floats back a year.

personally, i dont think it was ever REQUIRED to watch everything the mcu has put out in order to understand anything. So really with the new banners, I don't think much is going to change, its really just to make it very clear and open to everyone that this is the case but really like lets look at the two films that have connected the most to the shows -- Multiverse of Madness and The Marvels -- you can watch both films without having seen ANY of the shows and still understand everything perfectly and I've seen this firsthand from my friend. If there's something that happens in a different project that is important to the current one, they will explain it. And that goes for all of marvel even going back to phase 1, 2, and 3 as well. This is nothing new

I agree 100%. I've never understood all the complaints about "homework" and having to watch everything. I agree with you that even with a movie like Infinity War and Endgame, they brought you up to speed on what you needed to know to enjoy it. So I think this is more a way of Marvel explaining that to the average fan. If it helps bring back to those fans to the cinema, then I'm all for it. But I don't really know that it was that necessary to do.

@@AbitofEverything4U yea i think its more for the average viewers who may look at the mcu and be like wow thats a lot its saying hey dont worry you can enjoy the mcu as you always have. But i don't think it was this like desperately needed thing but as of now it's not hurting them so its fine. Even look at echo. If you watch echo and have never seen hawkeye it doesn't matter echo literally tells maya's whole story from hawkeye and adds some new stuff to recontectualize it but right there another example of how they will bring viewers up to speed. I love it when the movies and shows connect. It was one of the things i was annoyed about with the netflix shows is that they had to dance around certain things like calling the battle of new york "the incident" or using these alternate names for characters, but now we can have daredevil netflix style with some enhanced mcu style comic book style movement who also feels like he's truly apart of thjs Universe -- like imagine a mix of his movement in she-hulk and echo (without us needing to lool at small easter eggs in the background lolll)

1:08 Hearing this does sound very promising to me since I've also felt like the MCU had gotten to the point where almost all of their surrounding movies and shows felt like required viewing just to understand the full context of one, with no one movie really feeling like a movie on its own as much as just another piece of whatever larger story they're currently wanting to tell as we wait on them to get to whatever eventual ending point or payoff they're building towards. I've also been able to tell how the MCU's success had led to Hollywood wanting to emulate this same type of formula for other modern franchise based film series, but I for one don't think we should ever forget the value in simple standalone storytelling in movies. That's one of the qualities I know a lot of the Marvel movies of the 2000s had even if they were forced to be more self-contained due to Marvel's characters being tied up with different film studios and thus not allowed to cross over with one another at the time (and even if they weren't all great). Post-Endgame it had been really hard to find any movie or show in the MCU that wasn't still having to reference the aftermath of "The Snap" and "The Blip", though I did enjoy Loki's series for providing a sort of escape from that as they were introducing us to the interesting world of the TVA. So yeah, it is good to hear that Marvel Studios is wanting to push for more standalone stuff that doesn't leave out any of the more casual of viewers. The first Doctor Strange movie is still one of the most standalone movies in the Infinity Saga which is why it's still one of my favorites. Even when it was revealed that Strange's Eye of Agamotto was powered by an Infinity Stone or when Wong name dropped The Avengers the film didn't go into any real great depth about it because it was largely focused on telling the story of Stephen Strange.

It’s crazy marvel has had to put out the “you don’t have to watch X to watch X” statements for so long. I believe the different divisions are really empty promises made to make people feel better but the shows production won’t change all that much. I also wonder if the general audience members are even looking at those logos and noticing they’re different than the main Marvel Studios logo.

Yeah, it's hard to know how the general fandom will respond. I think it's smart for Marvel to do their best to make the projects as standalone as possible. Brad is correct that the comics were mostly standalone, until a big crossover happened. So I think it's a worthy goal to try to emulate that aspect of the comics. But I agree that it's unclear whether this will make a difference to the general fandom.

I kinda hope the X-Men aren't introduced through multiverse shenanigans, because that's almost certainly how they'll do the Fantastic Four and I'm not sure I like the idea of them both having the same origin. On top of that I think it will be confusing with the Fox X-Men (who they almost certainly won't be using) already being involved in multiverse stuff with MoM and the upcoming Deadpool film. Maybe some of the time/multiverse shenanigans could be the trigger for the X gene (which is currently dormant) suddenly mutating, which would be a way to introduce them? Having a "mutant saga" after the multiverse saga would be cool I think.

Im my opinion I think everyone is overthinking X-Men and Mutants. With dumb questions like, “Why didn't they help against the Chautari? Ultron? And Thanos? Where were they?" And that's very simple answer for that they are there own team of heroes they have no need to intervene in Avengers issues. Just like Avengers aren't obligated to help out against the Sentinels,Magneto and his Brotherhood and the Brood. They have there own issues to tend too. "Why would Humans hate Mutants when they've already seen Captain America,Iron Man,Hulk and Thor etc etc?". Well that's easy Cap and Iron Man one of them is an Emblematic American War Hero and the other is just a Guy with a Suit. Hulk is seen like a Mascot and Thor is seen like a God. Compare them to Mutants like the Morlocks who are extremely deformed Mutants. Or Jean Grey who can control Matter. Xavier who can paralyze the whole Population. Cyclops who can literally Zap a whole School Bus with his eyes. Storm who can chase a Drought if she wanted to or a Hurricane on Miami. Or the Brotherhood of Mutants who have abilities to Hurt Humanity. The Mutants and X-Men are OP and are way more dangerous than the Avengers in my Opinion. That's just the way I see it. So yes they should just introduce them naturally into the MCU like they've done with Spidey,Daredevil etc. But with Hugh Jackman,Kelsey Grammer and Sir Patrick Stewart and other former Fox X-Men returnimg it seems like there gonna take a more Multiversal approach for the Xmen and Mutants which im fine with.

It’s interesting that they’re realizing that potential new MCU fans might be wary of getting into the MCU because of all the “homework.” But I’m curious how they’re going to put that into practice because it’s not like Marvel Studios, Marvel Animation, and Marvel Television will have nothing to do with one another. Unless going forward, they will keep them separate, and we will no longer have a situation where Dr. Strange 2 (a movie) was a direct continuation of Wandavision (a series).

I think their goal will be to keep the shows and movies similar to Echo, where there was a short recap of some of the key elements of previous entries (such as Hawkeye) and then the show was able to take off on its own with a new story. Even movies like MoM were handled such that WandaVision wasn't required viewing, per se, as they kinda recapped the key parts of it. But I also think devoted fans will continue to be rewarded if they watched some of the other movies and shows, as they will pick up on the easter eggs and other fun details sprinkled throughout.

Yep, I can definitely understand that way of thinking. It was nice to hear Brad Winderbaum being so transparent on what's coming, but you are right that until we see a trailer, a show/movie may never see the light of day.

Given we haven't seen any footage of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Eyes of Wakanda, aside from maybe some private events and what not, I just basically assumed we were getting What If...? season 3 before them. After all, we've not only seen official images of various episodes, but also a short clip from one of them, as well. All of which is public, posted by Marvel itself.

Exactly...sure seems like What If season 3 will be sooner than later. I really enjoyed season 2, so I'm excited to see what they have in store for us!

I expect that The Witches' Road Halloween special is going to be the last episode of Agatha All Along and just turn it into an hour long finale if it happens at all since they are releasing the show in the lead up to Halloween itself which makes perfect sense. I am also interested in seeing the plot of What If...? season 3 will be, we can probably expect Captain Carter to return and possibly Uatu's nephew Aron as the main antagonist

Right...I think it would make sense to collapse the Witches' Road special into Agatha's series. And I'm betting that Uatu will have a bigger role in What If, so having someone like Aron show up would make alot of sense.

Good call...yeah, it does seem Daredevil moving to early 2025 may have a trickle down effect on the slate.

Putting out five movies next year would be a big mistake for Marvel, I think. I think Blade will get pushed (didn’t they just go back to the drawing board on that one again?) and Spider-Man … Maybe Christmas 2025? I don’t know, they don’t seem to be keeping their “holding back” promises…

I agree...I'm worried there are too many movies in 2025. I suspect that the Spider-Man movies end up in 2026 and Blade may indeed slip into 2026 as well. Hope we learn alot more at SDCC in a few short months!

Fun fact I apparently share a birthday with Paul Bettany (Vision) which is today! Also my X-Men rewatch for Deadpool & Wolverine has reached to the revised timeline set of films, DoFP onwards.

Great question...my guess is they move Secret Wars back a year and give themselves the ability to spread things out. I hope we learn that at SDCC 2024!

I rather they develop and think about a show and ultimately not make it. Because it means they REALLY took their time to evaluate if it’s a worthy venture

Surely if we get What If Season 3 this year - we get a what if infinity war episode or an Endgame episode. I’m so excited for Agatha All Along, would be nice if we got a Scarlet Witch Special or at least a cameo in Agatha All Along (I miss Wanda Maximoff) but I’m not sure if they’ll ever do specials again… which is a shame since I loved both Warewolf By Night and The Holiday Special.

Yeah, I suspect we'll be getting some What If episodes featuring the more recent characters and stories. Gonna be a great way to complete the trilogy. And I agree, I'm excited for Agatha. I suspect they'll roll that supposed Wanda special presentation into the main part of the show...hoping we do get a cameo from Wanda!

Curious to learn what all of it is, I only know some of it. Happy to know we're getting some good projects this year. Kraven is such a weird subject for me because Aaron looks amazing as Kraven and I wanted it to be good but I know it won't be and I won't be seeing it. I'll just look forward to your breakdown. Wish Daredevil wasn't so far out though. I am so happy we're getting a Vision series and by Matalas of all people, that's gonna be great. Excited about the X-Men information though, it's probably gonna be a phase 7 project though. Either way I look forward to the ever expanding, ever growing Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Yeah, I do have to wonder if the X-Men movie will be phase 7. I'd be so down for something during phase 6 with Avengers vs. X-Men, but phase 7 is a safer bet at this point.

Make a video on lionsgate marvel and add them in spreadsheet and confirm them if they are canon in mcu multiverse

I have a theory that what if s3 the watcher is going to be murdered and then it will somehow connect with the live action MCU. Because in one of the comics the watcher gets murdered and I feel like they are going to go that path which wouldn make whoever murdered him scary bc they killed the WATCHER himself

Good question. While I think DP&W will be their biggest movie for the next couple of years, I do think the 2025 slate looks very promising. CA4, Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four are all building alot of hype. I'm particularly interested in Thunderbolts, as I like alot of the actors in the movie. Hopefully they can deliver and bring back the movie magic!

I was really confused hearing that from now on you don’t need to watch A to watch B because like that’s been painfully obvious to me at least since the inception of the mcu. Avengers 1 reintroduces everyone, infinity war has lines in case you didn’t see civil war, even as recent as the marvels they caught you up on wandavision and Ms marvel. So I never understood this idea of “homework” that people think they have to watch one thing to get another, you don’t and really never have. Also I’m gonna be blunt here but marvel seems to be flat out lying to us, and I love it. They said “main projects only” and there’s big rumors about blonde phantom now with Taylor swift possibly? That’s definitely not main. And they say “they’re reducing the number of projects” and keep on announcing more and more. I personally love this, the number of projects wasn’t the issue. 2018 saw the most projects in the mcu EVER even now, and we got infinity war and daredevil season 3 in that, arguably the best things in the mcu. Now I know those were under separate studios but this is Disney, people and space shouldn’t be a problem. And right now it doesn’t seem to be as they’re still producing a lot. But it seems like despite what’s really the truth marvels marketing team is combatting the negative rumors well. They’re making sure what they make is high quality while claiming they’re making less to combat the idea that making too much is leading to worse projects. And they’re making more projects to actually address everything they set up previously in phase 4. And they’re saying “you don’t have to watch A to enjoy B” while doing the same thing they’ve always done which is never require anything for viewing. I wish they could be more honest but the marvel fanbase is really misguided right now, claiming things that just aren’t true. In my opinion at least. And marvel is doing good to combat that

Fantastic analysis. I 100% agree. Marvel isn't reducing output and isn't focusing only on the main characters. Marvel also isn't reducing any of their connectivity. However, they are doing a better job of marketing their product so that the general fanbase isn't put off by things and if a few white lies here and there are what it takes, then I'm all for it!

@@AbitofEverything4U Absolutely agree, especially if the quality is stepping up, which so far it seems like it is. I thought echo was good, but even if you dont, past that we have x-men 97 a huge hit, Deadpool and wolverine which looks like a big hit, Agatha, a beloved character from wandavison, daredevil born again rewriting itself to be what people wanted, and cap 4 which looks like it'll be really good answering some unfinished questions and giving us long awaited things like the leader and red hulk. The only semi questionable one seems to be thunderbolts, because ive heard some people say the rumors sound too much like suicide squad. But it sounds different enough that it doesn't bother me and its only rumors way before it's out so who knows. it seems like marvel stepped it up with quality lately and I hope it stays. and if it takes some white lies like you said, I'm all for it. I mean when else is blonde phantom gonna get a project anytime soon lol.

Yeah, I wondered if collapsing together Agatha and VisionQuest was going to happen...or i thought perhaps they would merge Wonder Man and VisionQuest. But perhaps they have a really good story in store for us. In that case, I'm down for it!

I really don’t get what’s so hard for Sony to make a spider-man for their universe yes I get we already have 3 spider-men but most people that watch are over the age to understand that different universes exist it’s crazy the possibilities they could have r rated spider man a spider-gwen movie EVEN A SPIDER-PIG movie but no they won’t take advantage of what they have they’re eventually gonna run out of villains and be stuck and if the venom 3 plot leak was real then maybe they’re going in the right direction but maybe make it a new person instead of a variant of another spider-man

You nailed it. I just don't understand what Sony is doing. Just give Spider-Man (any Spider-Man will do) and we'll be overjoyed. Instead, we've got Madame Web, Venom and Kraven this year. Sigh.

I think that the earliest we get spider-man 4 is november or december 2025 but most likely we get it 2026 in the may slot perhaps, also I would not like to see the X-men fight the avengers before secret wars, maybe in the mutant saga

I agree...really seems like Spider-Man 4 won't be happening until 2026. I know Sony will try to push it sooner, but I think it needs more time and trying to push it out next year will be tough. And I admit that I'm torn on the X-Men movie placement. But I do suspect you may be right that it will end up being part of phase 7. Hopefully we learn more at SDCC 2024 in a few short months!

Blade may be moved to 2026 too. They just changed the writers again, so back to square one?

Agreed...it sure seems like it's toast. I'm keeping it on the final image until we get an official Phase 6 slate, but I agree, that one won't be happening.

one problem is if marvel doesn't cancle any projecks it could be 20230 before secret wars gets here.

Very good points! So, I'm like 99% sure they will split Secret Wars into two movies and make the second one in 2028. That would give us more space to insert some of the other movies and shows that I really hope they can fit in.

@@AbitofEverything4U rumors say they are detminded for whatever avengers film is called before secret wars keep it's may 2026 release.and apparently secret wars for 2027.i agree as i also though secret wars could be cut into 2 films if it involves return of original avengers and all the classic marvel legacy heroes-tobey's spider-man,OT X-Men and poentialy andrew spider-man,Nicholas cage as ghost rider,wesley Snipes as blade and 2005/07 FF Iger is saying marvel will go to 3 films a year and 2 shows a year,i suspect that is non animated,the problem with that is all the reported dsiney + shows they say.and mcu X-Men likely waits for secret wars as i am betting X-Men is post secret wars project.

I hope lots of these projects do come out of course with them hopefully taking their time with them. I honestly keep forgetting about Kraven, i do think Sony should just let marvel have the movie rights to all Spiderman characters and just keep making their bangers Spiderverse movies. I just thought of this but for some reason i could see the Fan4stic version of Reed becoming a live action version of the Maker in his universe eventually.

It's hiding out on the Phase 6 potential slate image...Mid, 2026. I didn't call it out though, so it might have been easy to miss. I haven't heard any more on it, but I'm certain we'll be getting it. I'm pretty excited to see what Marvel does with it, tbh.

Totally agree...I'm really excited for that project to come to fruition. I mean, they've been slowly building towards it ever since an older Cassie appeared in Endgame. I think it's gonna be amazing!

I hope the Thor 5 rumor is not true. Would rather see Eternals, Strange and Shang Chi sequels first.

Yeah, I'm really wishing we'd get Eternals 2. If they move Secret Wars back to 2028, then perhaps they can fit in a few more moves in between!

They are trying to make everything not as connected as before, so it's easier for new viewers. If that was their true goal, where is the A teir super heros? They are scrapping the bottom of the barrel with Vision, Agatha, and Moon Girl. Some real households hold names there

Great points! So my guess is that they already had shows like Vision, Iron Heart, Agatha, etc in the works, but that we won't see alot more of those type of shows in the future. Moon Girl is more of a Disney Channel show, so it's a different situation, but I do think it may tie into the main MCU at some point. But yeah, I agree, Marvel definitely needs to get back to their main characters again. I think we'll be seeing that in the movies for sure, with upcoming entries like DP&W, CA 4, Thunderbolts (with Yelena and Winter Solider), Fantastic Four and Avengers 5. Lots of big time character stories on the horizon!

I'm mildly excited for 'Daredevil: Born Again', it's the only Marvel show I actually could see myself watching and maybe not dropping. Hoping it's the revival of the +18 shows, but I don't trust Disney to achieve that. Don't really care about the rest except maybe Spider-Man related productions. Don't trust Sony either to just deliver a good movie at all. I want to watch 'Kraven', but they keep delaying it, they lose my interest. They gotta delay Spider-Man movies though, 2025 is way too early.

Right, the sony universe is tied to the greater MCU multiverse via Venom showing up in No Way Home and leaving a bit of his goo behind. Also, Morbius had that dreadful post credit scene with Vulture...but I like to imagine that was just a bad fever dream and didn't actually happen. lol!

​@@gerardsmith4647 I'm actually hoping Kraven won't reference the MCU, tbh. But, ofc, if it references Venom or Morbius, then it connects to their universe, which (sadly) connects to the greater MCU. Also, believe it or not, my Madame Web video got 12.5k views. So people are interested in those Sony movies, even if they have zero desire to actually watch them in the theatres.
