There is no way on this planet that I could hit a target a target 100 yds away with a pistol. At 7 yds I can put 17 rounds in a single hole that I can cover with a challenge coin, but a 100 yds?? Only thing I am hesitant on is running comps on carry guns. All the barrel-mounted comps I've tried seem to require some inherent modification of the host (recoil spring) or ammo specificity to be mostly reliable. For most EDC, when ammo is plentiful, not a concern, but if for some reason the specific ammo required by your setup isn't readily available, you could be left with reliability issues. Comped slides seem to be more reliable and less ammo-specific in my experience.
@Usicky123 ай бұрын

EPIC FAIL but with good intent. For some questions: Does the 17 with the PMM dual port fit a 34 holster? Especially hard use kit with retention like the Safariland? Especially since you are playing off the Ranger TAB. Is engaging targets at 100 yards with a pistol truly relevant? Porting and comps have minimal affect on close accuracy but create a velocity loss. Thinking a Bill Drill that was timed @ 10 and then @ 25. Obviously showing the target live to validate on camera to promote a comp on a kit video. Details matter to combat arms soldiers. Not knowing the model of your RMR to share 🔴 size was weak.

How many pipe hitters in Tier 1 or 2 would use that wonky exposed rig you have now? The Radian Comp is better for the 17 with this in mind. The PMM is solid for the 19 or 45. I run almost the EXACT same setup but I am running Trijicon suppressor height sights and have extended controls as well as a tungsten guide rod internally but everything else we have the same. A++ build
Always like seeing someone run a stock Glock trigger. The two 19's I had, I never swapped out the trigger. Took some getting used to but they shot great.

I am an old retired Army CID Agent. I am pretty sure that I have been shooting longer than you have, but not [more] than you have. I didn’t get into recreational shooting until I was in my 60s. There is no way on this planet that I could hit a target a target 100 yds away with a pistol. At 7 yds I can put 17 rounds in a single hole that I can cover with a challenge coin, but a 100 yds?? I don’t think so. That is phenomenal shooting in my opinion. As for your gun, you do you. Great video.

You might want to give it a try, I never thought I could do it either, but its not as hard as you would believe. You wont be shooting groups, but if you are capable of shooting good tight groups, I imagine you can ring some steel at 100! Try it!

@@bbrakes5814 Thank you. I first have to find a range that either has steel or will allow steel. I think I have found one, but it I have to go check it out. Again, thank you.
I rock a 19, just for mag compatibility in a SHTF scenario, but I would like to upgrade to a 17 length slide soon. Great guns, triggers arent amazing but once you get used to it its a non issue.
I have the same problem with my duty glock 17.. I’m definitely getting that slide lock fix

It's a game changer!
I got a PSA dagger with a forward facing rear sight. I think that's what it's called. Regardless...it puts the rear sight in front of the optic. I haven't shot it with an optic but a few rounds with the irons, no adjustments, and they were good. Put the optic on and the dot was surprisingly close to the irons out of the box.
I'm gonna go get the papers, get the papers
If you want your comp to run with more ammo, change out the recoil spring. I love sprinco springs. Had to mess with mine. Now it runs 115-147gr with no issues.

My only comment is to your mention of your "backup" iron sights that are too low to be used looking through your optic...So, in the event of a catastrophic optic failure, like a piece of shrapnel hitting it from an explosion or hand grenade in the middle of an intense firefight, do you carry the tools to remove the optic so those backup iron sights can get into play? 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂 Just picking at you. Great video and great setup!

The uglier a Glock gets, the prettier it becomes.

@@tacticalcowboy01 - Maybe relevant to you - But only for marksmanship and possibly for fun. You are correct on being doable. Again - A score of 10 rounds for 90 or better on a B8 at 25 from the draw in less than 10 seconds is relevant. No reply on holster fit and your choice. How many pipe hitters in Tier 1 or 2 would use that wonky exposed rig you have now? The Radian Comp is better for the 17 with this in mind. The PMM is solid for the 19 or 45.
