I got tired from even watching him filleting the moray 😭😭 can’t imagine how tiring it is for him. Even more he just finished the survival challenge. Masaru you really are something else 💪🏼💪🏼
I lived in Okinawa as a child - I wish that we had gotten to spend more time there, but my dad was military and we got shipped back stateside after Okinawa was given back to Japan around 1972 - I get to brush up on my Japanese with the Close Captions, and the videos are always outstanding. Not many Japanese around here to practice the language with so I have forgotten most of it - we get A LOT of Filipino, Korean, and some Chinese, but I have never met any Japanese here.... Arkansas USA

@@thefolder3086 basically any meat you eat is ‘poison’. Most of the ‘poison’ he talks about is the same ‘poison’ you’ll find in tuna which is bigger than most of the big fish he eats. You’re more likely to be poisoned by an iceberg lettuce

@@splitdragon3004 ah. So it’s just biomagnification right? Then make sense tunas will have a ton of them. I never thought about how they do. But when you put it like this it’s weird that they are cautioned as poisonous when tunas arent

Your videos are amazing, and I love the anatomy lessons you give when dissecting your catch.
I hope you're feeling much better....strong, and back to yourself. I enjoy the survival series *so much* - you just don't know. But a part of me also has surges of concern. I just want you to be able to keep doing what you want, enjoy, have a passion for. So - while I know that the road well worn is not your path, I am always grateful to see you (sometimes) step back from high-risk choices. We appreciate you!

Watching this when I'm recovering from tooth surgery is always the best. Honestly, it inspires me to open my tastes up more! I feel so picky, but the way you hype these dishes up makes me curious about trying fish.

Same for me, just had 4 wisdoms pulled and mouth surgery so I can't eat more then jello and yogurt, makes me want real food so much, especially with the struggle of eating anything because of the pain and blood

I really enjoy your videos. I can fillet ordinary fish like schnapper , but some of the creatures do attempt - and succeed at are fascinating. I also appreciate that you eat what you catch. I’m still not sure about eel though, it’s a common food here in NZ, especially smoked, but I can never get it into my mouth! Thanks for another great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟
自分も伊豆の方でウツボ狙って釣りする事があるくらい美味しい魚だと思ってます。 ドクウツボ の様な大型のウツボは居ませんが、歩留まりも良いし美味しいし食材としては優秀ですよね!

めちゃくちゃ美味そうですね、唐揚げ食べたくなる... とはいえ、久しぶりのちゃんとしたご飯ではあるだろうから、だいぶ上方修正されているとは思います (激安ウィンナー1kg消費しおえた後の久々のアルトバイエルンは食った事ない美味さでした)

Moray eel was an élite food in Roman times. Here in Italy they are not sold anymore because people think it's gross (although we dont have ciguatera in our sea). I tried moray ("murena" in italian) deep fried and it's quite good
