The only reason why Cody may loose momentum after mania is due to a lack of proactivity on the creative teams part, they must have known they would have a void to fill following The Rock and Reigns departure. Cody is the most versatile guy on the roster, he has a great intro, is great in ring performer and may not have the sharp wit of some but he makes up for that with his eye straight down the camera lens passion for the business. All the skill and appreciation of the fans that Brett Hart always had but far more charismatic.

I think WWE will receive serious hate and backlash if they strip the title off of Cody because high ranked WWE executives doesn't like him being champion give me a break

No, Rock came back before that. He was on Smackdown last September in 2023, and then reappeared on Raw in January of this year to beat up Jinder Mahal after dissing him, and then called out Roman Reigns. That was before the TKO stuff.

No fucking way did they just use Cody like they did Seth when they took down the shield their focus was Roman then and it’s Roman now

I don't believe that about Cody for a second. Roman took a solid 6-7 months into his title reign to stop being heavily boo'd and they still kept the title on him for 3 years after. If they screw Cody out of his title reign, that just shows clear favouritism and that they got Cody back just to embarrass him. It was in Cody's contract that he gets a world championship, if they scam him out of it, that'll prevent anyone else from taking the same deal.

Wrestlers can't sue because they aren't given or allowed to keep the belt, but they CAN be terminated if they refuse to go along with whatever story the company wants to go with.

There's literally no way WWE is going to force Cody to vacate the title- Cody went through winning 2 royal rumbles, coming back from injuries, beating most superstars in his way to finally dethrone Roman at WM40 and become champ and now WWE are having second thoughts? They need to give Cody a chance to prove to them he's meant to be champion and face of WWE, this is the new era, and he rightly deserves this title reign. If they take this away from him, I'll literally be done with WWE and literally a lot of fans will be pissed off if they take the title away from Cody. They better not do this to Cody.

I'm not the biggest Cody Rhodes fan, and have always been a fan of Roman, but It's been like two weeks, and he has not even had a real feud with anyone, other than the Rock who isn't even here anymore. As much as I love the Rock, you're telling me that they want to put the title on him over a full time fighting champion. You mind as well have made a storyline for Cody to fight The Final Boss sooner than later. Just let the guy defend the title a few times, so he doesn't look like a paper champ and is still a strong contender for the title in when he losses it. What Cody need is a good heel challenge while the Rock and Roman take their time away. Solo immediately comes to mind, with his bloodline split story, he would try to take the title, so that he can show progress over taking over the bloodline. He's a great heel right now, has someone in his corner to help him win some matches, and if he were to win a title there's a storyline there for him and Roman, with Roman having his eyes on the title, all while having a bloodline fued. But he won't win, Cody will, and that strengthens his character and still puts him over as face of the company.

Hmmmm. I don't think it's a good idea to have Cody vacate the title. They already vacated the Women's World title. But I think it's clear that Cody won't have that buzz on him after finishing the story. Cody basically doesn't have anything to follow up after his story with finishing the story, and can only take up challengers, which can get a bit bland after time. The only small feud he has is with the Rock, which can be Cool as an one off match. I don't really see any storyline going in with Cody right now, that will have enough substance to keep people interested in him as Champion. Unless WWE figure something out for him. Somehow Cody fuels people up more when he's the underdog having to battle his way to the top, rather than being there. So I won't be surprised if he loses the title by the end of the year.

Keep Cody as champ Romans had it long enough if ya give it back to him Im sure plenty will never watch this again

I'm not saying 3.5 years like Roman but if it's not 6 months ATLEAST I think that's a bad move. I think he should have a Rollins length run at minimum (my opinion) and making a another part time champ out of the rock isn't fair to the fans. They want a champ that goes out and defends that title, who wrestles weekly. Don't have to defend weekly but only working at max 6mon out of the year would literally be a slap in the face to the audience. Also he doesn't need the rock to have fans watching. Does he provide a boost, sure simply because alot of ppl watched him growing up and like to have that taste of the past but I think this whole thing is bull crap and hope it isn't real

IMO, nobody should have a Roman-like reign mainly because I got sick of roman, Cody should have a 4-5 month reign losing to a well established heel, like solo, aj, or even Roman later (Roman will have a 5 month reign as well) this may be a long shot but we all win here

Yeah im not surprised by that because i did hear that John Cena said in a interview that its hard for him to believe that Vince McMahon would even do those crazy things so im thinking John Cena has to really see if Vince McMahon is Guilty and im thinking The Rock feels the same way probably so we will see what happens next with that in the future and what The Rock & John Cena will decide to do next with that also too hopefully by then so we will see once it happens that way

I read a few comments already. And my opinion os the same. Best thing WWE can do is have AJ Styles Vs. Cody Rhodes for Backlash I think it is. It'll actually be good if The Rock doesn't show back up till Summerslam or even Wrestlemania 41 if things are going deccent by then. I don't believe Cody should lose the title anytime soon unless they intend for him to pick it back up soon after that. For example if he lost the title at Summerslam to The Rock, Wrestlemania would be too long for him not to take it back. Even if they went crazy and gave Cody a 3rd Royal Rumble victory it would be very difficult to accept it for the fans which is who makes or breaks WWE

That’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. Cody earned that title fair and square and WWE needs to leave him alone. Cody loves his fans and the fans loves him.

I have been a WWE fan since I was 5 years old keeping Roman on top of almost pushed me away 40 years of being a fan

Like one thing about cody rhodes as undisputed champion now wwe has the wwe champion for live events and tours the one thing wwe didn't have and the thing is smackdown can still pull in viewership and ratings even with out roman reigns logan Paul and the us title
