beautiful song, I see it as someone who's made many mistakes and lost a few people around him, maybe he's been betrayed, maybe he's betrayed others and now he's 'walking the lonely road' to stage of his life, moving on and trying to pick up the pieces. so relatable the way I see it

"The lonely road. The one that I should try to walk alone. I'll be home tonight; take a breath and softly say goodbye." My personal interpretation: it speaks of a man whose made a mistake and repented, but now must go through life alone as a consequences of his actions, with life being "the lonely road" without this person. He's telling this to someone as they die, promising he'll do better, be better, and that he'll see them in Heaven.

My interpretation is that a couple is at each other's throats, and they care for one another, but they know that this was the death knell. They fought so badly that there was no coming back from it.

I took a 6 year break because of prison. One of my favorite solo artists (a singer) on here went on a 2 year break for vocal issues. Could be anything.

That guitar at the end is beautiful

I don't know why, but this song has a more somber tone to it than the songs on Dear Agony did, and that's saying a lot.

It really does. The only song that I think is more somber than this is Lullaby by Nickelback, and that in its own is saying a lot as well.

I interpret this as they are working through a life threatening thing. and he is going to end up without this person.

I fell a little too hard for an old high school flame who grew up beyond damaged and has turned into a narcissistic sociopath who continuously hurts me when she knows i love her to death. She’ll tell me she loves me one day and then ghosts me the next. So here we are, fighting and trying to hide these scars 😭

you are right , I've never heard of them and just ran into 1 of their songs by mistake "dance with the devil" and fall in love with their music. I really love the music itself but the lyrics is completely amazing , so much emotion in every single line , I don't understand how come they are famous only in the U.S ,

Breaking Benjamin is Great! But who realized that this song is a bit similar to Lional Richie's 'Hello' in some parts (specially the beginning) but in a post-grunge style. Breaking Benjamin, my favourite band, is the best ever! Eager for their fifth album!!!!
