White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. It started when he decided to throw Jessie in, when Jessie said he wanted out. Jessie was way to scared to speak out right then and there, and even Mike had looked at Jessie wondering what he was gonna do. The lick from Mike when Walt mentioned the 5 million to comp Mike, was a cherry on top. It was a power trip he's been wanting to have since he met gus fring.

Mmm, buttered coke I think Gen Z and definitely Gen Alpha are too young to remember buttered coke, but for the Internet OGs who grew up before the Internet was a thing but then spent every day on it once it did come into existence and got popular, will know about the meme of "buttered coke". It was a hell of a thing. I always wanted to try it but I never got round to it. I haven't thought about it in probably 20 years until your comment reminded me of it, so thank you It was just this joke that, if I remember right, people suggested Germans couldn't handle the fizziness of coke and so they'd butter their glasses before pouring in the coke to make it less "spicy" from the carbonation lol

It’s one of those things that could come off incredibly cheesy if it isn’t pulled off just right. But the show runners built this character perfectly on a long journey from where he started as a scared small man to the man he is in this scene, so to the audience the transformation feels earned and genuine. He is Heisenberg.

I think they probably would get excited and enthusiastic and, at this point, were long past knowing how important the work was (and still is). But I feel like until it's on location being filmed and the actors are saying the lines, nobody really "knows". My take, though, is that besides the almost unfathomably great writing, I think this show and BCS would make it so that everyone worked to a certain level they might not otherwise achieve. After BB seasons 1 and 2, being on these shows must have felt like getting drafted to the Bulls in the late 80's into the 90's... you're playing alongside Jordan and Pippen, so you'd better be ready to make history.

Declan must have known Mike was Gus' top-guy... having Mike deliver 'the nod', whilst standing at this side. added every bit of FEAR to Heisenberg's name. Declan had obviously heard the rumors about the brilliant Mastermind that was Heisenberg... but never seen him or anything...it was just rumor... Untill this moment and Declan was being completely wrapped up, at évery point he made, every argument he tried to state... Heisenberg was running circles around him at every turn... Heisenberg explained in cold detail, how good a deal he could make there, too good for any of his crew to pass up on... 'Thats 130 MILLION,...."... The sharp look in Declan's eyes, when Walt told him the basic math of it..... That's SERIOUS money.... on top of the serious money they had already calculated in as a profit from their sub-standard cook!! Declan could NEVER convince his crew to give up 130M.... Walt had him.... owned him....and to make it worse; Walt told him that it was HIM that killed Gus Fring! And Fring was a MUCH bigger boss then Declan ever hoped to be... Fring was at WAR with the Juarez Cartel and WON... And before him stood the man that ENDED Gus Fring... in the most spectacular way possible! Declan knew... he had no other choice....And Walt knew that Declan knew he had no other choice.

Yeah but than his cover was blown 4-5 months later. Gus was able not only avoid any suspicion from the DEA, but he kept them close, building a reputation for himself in the community, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, he was also respected by many of his associates, and on top of that he was able to take out Bolsa, Don Eladio, Lalo Salamanca, Inadvertently killed one of the Salamanca twins (by warning Hank ) and later was able to have Mike Kill the other one, and on top of that was able have built a state of the art underground meth lab and start a successful chain of restaurants. He’s far more impressive than Walter.
