I'm pretty sure Jesse's reluctancy to kill Todd was in part due to him not wanting to risk the killing of Brock

There's probably few factors why he did not kill Todd. Your theory is one and maybe it's also because Todd saved him too from uncle Jack.

Really Jesse had nowhere to go if he killed Todd out in the desert. Plus at this time Jesse did not realize the car had a LoJack security system (or did he?). Uncle Jack would have tracked Jesse down quickly once Todd did not arrive back to the ranch.

10:48 i always interpreted the reason jesse didnt kill todd in the desert is because he knew the neo nazis still knew brock was alive and was a target if jesse tries to escape or retaliate again

The reason Jack Sparrow’s flintlock doesnt work when wet is because the water actually got into the gunpowder because its not an enclosed cartridge. Jesse’s handgun would most definitely work. Modern guns can get wet and fire just fine.

I love this film. Sure it’s not necessary, even Vince Gillian has said so, but it’s nice to see and have confirmation that Jesse was able to get free of the drug world of ABQ. A very satisfying epilogue to Jesse’s story.

Skinny Pete and Badger are the GOAT of friends. I loved seeing them again and them helping Jesse with no hesitation. Also I'm pretty sure modern firearms still work if they're wet. The reason it didn't work in Pirates is because they were loaded with gunpowder, that's what causes the pellet to shoot out of them. But if the gunpowder gets wet it won't ignite. With modern rounds it's all encased in the shell. So there's no way for water to get into it and mess it up. Maybe if you submerged it long enough but I don't think so.

I loved all the small shots of how Albuquerque has moved on (Saul's office now a different business, Los Pollos now a Twisters etc), it's something I wish we'd seen more of in El Camino and also BCS (I know we got some tantalising mentions in the Francesca phone call). I agree that this isn't the strongest entry in the universe but it's a worthy addition. Something I haven't seen mentioned anywhere is how the ending of BCS throws the comparatively happy ending of El Camino into doubt - life of the lam is no fun at all. The hell of black and white Omaha suggests to me that maybe it isn't happy ever after for Jesse. Gilligan and Gould always said in interviews that the characters got what they deserved. Jesse probably ends up somewhere similar to Kim - free but haunted by their past deeds.

When it comes to Jessie killing Todd, I think it is part of the twisted nature of his relationship with Walt. It wasn’t until Walt was there he had the confidence and the security to finally take revenge on Todd, in the way he couldn’t when he was alone in the desert.

A wet modern gun is no problem. They would fire and cycle the action dry or wet. Jack Sparrows gun does not fire because the gunpowder is wet. Modern firearms use ammunition that keeps powder sealed from the elements. The ammunition would need to be submerged for a long enough time for water to make its way into the case and get the powder wet or corrode the primer to the point a spark can't be made for it to not work. The gun itself being wet doesn't matter at all and rarely ever does in practice, Navy Seals dive and swim with their weapons even into combat. Modern firearms with good ammunition will fire fully submerged, although the bullet will only go a few feet and a semi or full auto function may not cycle. But as for a gun simply being wet, the worst thing that will happen is rust if it's not properly taken care of afterward.

Really the writers of BB missed a great opportunity to put one last shock and jolt of reality into Walt when he visited Skyler for the last time living alone at her apartment complex. They should have portrayed Skyler pregnant once again, Walt would have been perplexed as would have no answers to the evolving puzzle of variables he thought he could manage with money. He could not stay with her nor meet his unborn child. Yet it did not happen, main reason is actress Anna Gunn threw away the maternity prop she had to wear in earlier seasons.

@@murgeproductions exactly! It also didn’t really have the realism experience that breaking bad gives you. Felina was a perfect ending and If Vince Gilligan was going to touch that I wish it was a mini series with some high stakes and challenges before he got to Alaska OR Vince should have shot the movie while they were shooting the end of breaking bad so no one lost there touch and all looked the same. Having the guy that made his chain around his waste be the main villain sucked. I watched Felina right before putting on El Camino. El Camino it was shot differently that season 5 breaking bad and like I said everyone didn’t age that well, the weight gain for everyone took me out the movie ughhhh. In my mind I just pretend Jesse made it to Alaska like he always wanted and erase the entire movie from my mind.

Now it would be a different story though if he was walking around with an 18th century dueling pistol like Jack Sparrow. 4:06 this is accurate since these guns do not use sealed cartridges.

Wet guns will work and even fire when submerged. Modern smokeless powder is an accelerant not an explosive like old black powder used in muskets and they have chemical based starters that will go off even under water but old black powder guns relied on whats basicaly an open flame to catch the powder which isnt contained in a sealed brass cartridge. They got ak47 type assault rifles that shoot spear like needle bullets underwater and the only difference in those guns is a smooth barrel and a different projectile from a regular slug. Otherwise everything elseis the same as a conventional firearm and cartridge.

Also another note on the wet gun, if its shower water it'll be fine. If it was like ocean or swamp water god forbid ocean water- it'll be fine water doesn't actually hurt metal its the salts and acids in the water. Talking mostly in rain water for example it just has to much salt in it.

Inwas honestly bored for like 90 percent of the movie. They should have compressed the entire movie into like half an hour and the main part of the movie should have been about his life in alaska and whatever he does the rest of his life. The women he'll marry, his future children, job, hobbies everything. That's what I want to know.

I wouldn't say that this movie is bad, but it was completely pointless. At the end of the day we get an open-ended conclusion where Jesse rides off somewhere to start a new life, and that's basically what happened in the final episode of Breaking bad where he escaped from Jack's crew after being saved by Walt. We didn't need this extra movie where we see him do the exact same thing we assumed he was going to do at the end of Breaking bad anyway. The only real positive I have for this movie is that it's good to see Jesse be happy about being able to start his new life at the end, but even with that small dose of wholesomeness, this still didn't need to exist.

With the wet gun, as long as the action (where the whole explosion and ejection of the bullets) is clear and the gunpowder in the bullets are dry then the gun will fire after being in a shower. After that it's just different temperaments of different firearms.

I’ve never understood all the sympathy Jesse gets. The guy is literally a drug peddling, drug addicted murderer. I would have liked BB far more if Jesse was killed off way earlier in the show. All the saves he gets make the show so much more silly to me each time I watch it. Jesse was a pos just like a lot of the other characters.

That's not a review, that's an overview/rehearsal. Big difference. I get it that you'd want to present some of the narritive and then make a point to it as to why it's good or bad but you barely do any of that. Instead you're mainly talking about the story itself with a few hints of "yea that was pretty cool". That's not a review. I gotta say that's not exclusionary to this particular video, a lot of them "reviews" do esentially the same thing i described.
