i love chef micheal, he's definitely my favorite judge/chef. he's so patient and gentle and is really well natured. he's also really respectful and always held together/kept cool. he's super kind when criticizing or tasting other's dishes as well which makes him someone i really like in general

Different personalities

MasterChef Canada and Australia are far and away my favourites. The standard seems higher, the judges are genuinely likable (especially Chef Michael, I wish he'd do more overseas stuff) and seem to care more about the contestants than creating drama, and the challenges seem a lot more challenging than in some of the other versions.

They have more training and an order of magnitude more experience. I think the homecooks did an amazing job handling service on a gourmet restaurant on rush hour.

Those who compare Gordon On Hells Kitchen to chef Bonacini on MC Canada have to remember that Hells kitchen deals with chefs that are already professionals. Gordon has a lower tolerance to those who have worked in the kitchen and can't run a line or cook meat. Masterchef are untrained cooks so some things they simply can't do as well or don't have experience so the empathy is much greater.

i understand that pressure is on them when getting food out in a constant pace but this is one of the saddest challenges that ive ever watched.

Well he had a gimmick in his channel about cocking anything in 10 minutes. Of course if he really tries, he might go the expensive restaurant way and just serve a misery portion, but with the touch of a master chef like himsellf. I guess he can make 30 dishes in an hour by himself.

1:28 and 3:35. Thanks MasterChef Canada. I wasn't quite happy the first time so I'm glad I got to see it again.

Gordon and the MasterChef Canada Judges have different type of attitude of teaching, telling what is wrong, what is right, etc. Gordon can yell and do whatever he wants since the participants is doing wrong and he is just telling them what is right in his own way.

it's not the same, HK is (largely) manufactured drama with routine sabotage by the producers and crew , Masterchef is more straightforward as the errors will come

SantomPh hk is executive chefs and has more experience in the cooking business while this is mostly homecooks .so u expect much on the hk thats why gordon is like that

@@SantomPh that too, but really the show spawned some of the strongest cooks in America. Like Heather, Christina, Michael and Dave are nuts. The pressure from Ramsay usually drives contestants to the breaking point

Wow such a disappointment. I feel bad for chef Michael. Imagine letting a bunch of people cook in your restaurant and destroy your image in a few hours.

Nah, he had a backup plan ready and was keeping a close eye on the contestants. The customers also knew it was the homecooks, so service would be different. He was transparent, professional and upheld quality standards. His reputation is pretty safe.

Chef Michael's like the Tywin Lannister of this show.

I saw a camera man in Masterchef for the first time.

I love how chef michael tells them that the salmon is underdone in a cool way. Meanwhile Gordon: SMASHES THE SALMON🤣

Chef Michaels voice profile is rich, depth, silky and is absolutely mouthwatering
