Zach is a much better shooter though so he should age a little better and we would definitely need draft capital to take him on. I don't see it happening though.

We would be gaining assets to get Lavine, not losing them. I think Lavine has more productive years left than Blake did when we got him.

I don't think the Pistons were on Klay's radar, so it really doesn't matter what his deal was vs. Tobias'.

Zach Lavine or Ball + 1st Rd Pick, is a great deal

The Pistons are only going to go as far as Cade, Stewart, Duren, Sasser, Thompson, the new rookie and Ivey can take them. That's the group where the Pistons need stars to emerge!!

Rebuild started when Weaver got here. Pistons also had less assets when the rebuild started, it took some time just to take it apart.

OKC traded away a couple stars to fast forward the process. Hopefully the Hartenstein deal means they will spend this time around.

besides my favorite pick up of fred Vinson..what did Langdon do thats not a continuation of weaver!! ..Harris n THJ been linked to us for 7 months now..weaver never liked monty...Holland would of been our pk no matter what(wernt taking clingan, french guy salun,or dillingham) and 100 percent ARN was taking Bobi klintman lol...even Blackstone, Lindsey names were mentioned 4,5 months ago ....so levine is the only player linked to us for months lets see what happens lol...i truly thought we hade great chance at naji Marshall pels connection but that got shot down real quick lol

It is a continuation of what Weaver was attempting. Trajan doesn't have as much pressure to produce quickly and so far IMO he seems to be doing a better job. Weaver would have started to rush this, that would have been a disaster long term. I'm not sold on Trajan, but I'm fairly optimistic.

@@pheralanpathfinder4897 That might be. I'll say this: I think Weaver would have gotten less in the THJ trade. Monty might still be here, even still I'm not confident Weaver could have gotten J.B. to come here. Time will tell if J.B. is a good fit, but I know he's better than Monty.

Monty should never of been here if it was up to troy, monty set us back 2 yrs...he didnt know how to get fired...im not saying weaver was good and im glad he is gone...kevin ollie would of been good enough n pistons win double 25-30 games n few more players may of wanted to come via FAs...Langdon didnt even get his way w james Bererrago lol

Pistons need some interior defense. Without that we won't exceed 25 wins.

He can't stay healthy, his teammates hate him and plays better without him and most of all, wants so little to do with Detroit, that he opted to do a season ending surgery just to keep from getting traded here. I want a plus player who also brings a first round pick with him. Yes, I do want that. I want nba level players with all star potential on this team. The stated plan by Trajan was to utilize that strategy to properly support the foundation

Blake was actually good for two years with us the rest of the team was just terrible

The Bulls aren't giving up a first for somebody to take on Lonzo Ball with only one year left on his deal. If I'm dealing for Lavine, we have to get two first rounders because we'll have to give up Stewart in the deal and I don't think the Bulls do that. Langdon has done nothing positive so far in my opinion
