I think the skull's just the Doom spell, most animations for Doom in FF games have either a skull or a reaper show up.

I think his Death Curse might be the Doom Spell

Fun fact: the “spinning scythe” around his body (around 3:13) is one of his magic animations from 358/2 Days! But we haven’t gotten a breakdown on that yet :P

Also i was watching this video to Wait for the kh2 final cutscene to end because my computer ran out of battery and i had to fight Xemnas again lol

I really prefer these relatively simple but technical battles over stuff like Dark Riku, where he slashes his sword once and creates 50 energy explosions, 70 darkness mines, and 100 bursts of unblockable lightning spread out over the next five minutes.

This fight is for me the most beautiful, the elegance of Marluxia with the petals next to his concept of death that he carries, in addition to all the visual effects being extremely refined. I never saw anyone talking about how beautiful that attack that goes up a huge skull during his DM, which impressed me.

I love how they referenced KH2's reaction command but without the cinematic part at 4:00.

Marluxia slamming his scythe into the ground at 6:23 reminds me a lot of his Drop Shot sleight from Re:COM. Also, at 1:52, that actually looks a lot like his Bloom Out Limit from 358/2!

I really like the reference box animation and great breakdown as always Bio!

This fight is just incredible. One of my favorite fights in the series- mechanically interesting and fun, some of the coolest effects in the game, and a worthy remix of one of the greatest final boss tracks of all time.

Can I just talk about how much I love the timer and it’s gimmick it’s so fun Also I’m glad that you reviewing this fight it’s my favorite data to fight in the series so far

I think he says "your heart is now shackles", the same line he says, when he cast doom on you in Re:CoM

Just now realising you're going in descending number order but have already done Xehanort which means the best character is saved for last 😏

I honestly can’t remember why I did Xehanort so early lol I think I saw the teeth of the keyblade of heart in one of the attacks and just had to take a closer look

I'm a newcomer to KH; I've been playing every game and after having his data battle be a complete pushover in 2FM its SO cool and refreshing to see this new one, your vid really helped me learn him and have a TON of fun with this battle, it's one of my favs thus far! The blossom of death, Marli's fight has incredible references and nods + it's a fun fight to play against P.S: the doom counter hidden quote is this: "No good! Your heart will be bound with shackles!" a little reference from Re:CoM when he uses the Doom card

It's very similar. Circle Reject has Spectre tapping the handle of the scythe on the ground, but the petals spreading out in a ring is pretty much the same

The attack at 2:11 is an attack he uses in his final fight in Re:Com

i love marluxia s teleport attack and his scythe and his pink hair and his pink shock wave

Very poggers breakdown

On the subject of what Marluxia says to Sora when he casts doom, I like to imagine he's actually saying something like "You're already too late..." or "You're already dead," cause when you think about it, he is literally casting an effect on you that guarantees your death unless you find some way to dispel it, which in the case of our own enemies in bbs and other FF games when you cast doom on then, is impossible.

This and Xion’s data fight were my favorites

This fight is fun and heightens tension with his DMs.

Of all the bosses in the remind dlc this is hands down my favorite boss fight.

These breakdowns are fascinating for me since I'd just grinded a fuckton of Boosts and brute forced my way through the Data Fights.

A simple way to explain Marluxia is. *this is Super Saiyan Rosé Marluxia black*

These data battles were so fun/frustrating

im fairly sure every instince of marluxia having armor well he is physicly there is possible to throw a fire at him even in the early part of his 1 HP DM being able to be ended with a really high number when he apears for a split second to throw a unblockable

I adore Marluxia and I hate that they axed him so early in the series only for him to kinda have a couple of lines in 3 really, I just pray he's involved in 4 or whatever as his whole form

Marluxia’s data fight was definitely one of the easier fights in kh3 remind limit cut. He and larxene really felt like pushovers compared to everyone else! But not in a bad way! Lol

I need help understanding the first DM. if I play it safe and hit only when i think hes vulnerable, i run out of time. the only times i pass this phase is when i make mistakes and knee jerk counter strike and he gets opened up.

You know what would've been a nice little addition to the boss? Where if the countdown hits zero, rather than the usual Game Over sequence, a cutscene plays where Marluxia shouts "Your heart shall be judged!" and summons the Specter from Re:CoM, who then slices at Sora with her scythe. It would've been both a neat call back to Re:CoM and a nice little nod to Strelitzia, Marluxia, or rather, Lauriam's sister.

You forgot in 3:46 The pool can be cancelled by using aero magic

Imagine combining him and xaldins powers and weapons to create 13 scythe-lances. OP as fuck dude

Fun fact: the portals that he uses to pull you in can be dispelled with Wind magic

Yes, I saw Trueblade doing this, and it makes sense since Aero spreads the petals, just like the Dandelions of that Heartless in Corona

Kind of similar to why Saix is weak against Blizzard in Re:Mind. That spell was able to infinitely loop him in his data battle in 2FM.
