The new album was a long time coming, especially Groin. Just because he’s the leader of the biggest group in sk/world everyone expects him to speak out on political things and he gets alot of hate till this day. This album is him just saying what he means and I’m here for it..he created a masterpiece. you should react to the album exchange he did with jimin..he talks a lot about the songs and the meaning behind them it’s on bantangtv 💜

I really hope this album is the catharsis he needed to release all the pent up frustration, all the burden he carried to this day, and put all demands on him on perspective. This guy was only 19 when he becomes the leader of BTS and had to carry everything on his shoulder. It is a marvel that he's still sane and a good human being. I hope he finds peace during MS with this album as the floodgate.

I did it the same way. First heard it a lot, felt it, hummed it, now I’m slowly getting the lyrics. It’s an album that has a lot of freedom to connect it to own experiences although it’s so personal him. He’s freeing himself by setting people free from their expectations. And that’s just smart (no surprise here).

Genial!

You are right, it's too much information. But you will understand eventually. Namjoon is a very unique person, but also he has been in a very unique situation for 13 years, and he is an artist: he is telling either part of the story or he is telling how he feels about things had happened in their story. Eventually when you know the story, you will understand. But to be fair, there are many many things we will never understand because art is also abstract, and also they are complex people like any of us and they have the right of privacy. Many parts of the story, we don't have the right to know. It's ok. But again, if you stick around, you will understand more. I hope I am not being confusing. Thank you for sharing your journey discovering our beloved ones. RM is amazing.

I can imagine that both of these tracks out of context feel overwhelming and a complete departure from the RM you are getting to know, and sonically that's probably true. RM himself said something like, working on this album broke all the rules he had for music...and at the same time this is all very much RM. If you go back to his early work, pre-debut, his 1st mixtape RM (2015) and even within BTS and their Cyphers 1-4 you're going to hear that aggressive, say what needs to be said tone. Mono (2018), his 2nd mixtape, as well explores feeing deeply disconnected, etc. RM collab'd with a SK collective Balming Tiger in 2022 with a song called Sexy Nukim and then befriended and ended up working with their creative director San Yawn for the RPWP project.. You'll find a lot of similarities with Lost both sonically and visually with Balming Tiger. As for the meaning of the lyrics of Lost!...I saw one interpretation of the chorus being about drinking alcohol as a way to escape, which I think makes a lot of sense. RM never used to drink much (even though SK has a strong drinking culture), until the past few years...he's mentioned in a live last year that he had been drinking often with friends. So the lines, "I never been to club before, I hit the club, I never felt so free before, You're a goddamn ghost, I never felt so fine before, I hit the cloud" - I interpret as, I'm feeling lost in life, I'm lost my direction, but going out and drinking is how I'm dealing with it right now and even when you know you shouldn't drink as much as you are "I got temptation" - it can be hard to say no. RM himself has shared how he has been feeling lost, burnt out, how he "ran out of things to say" and lost his grasp of what or who BTS are these last couple of years and that Lost! is the overall theme of this album. Groin is pretty straight forward. He actually just released an album listening party that he did with Jimin kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioWfmdyInZmeeLg.htmlsi=wOh5ntj0_ntYgiqZ I would highly recommend watching this, but basically he talked about how as the leader of BTS he's had the pressure of saying all the right things, representing BTS with beautiful speeches, etc, but how also they have had so many things happen to them, so many demands, have been used in unreasonable ways (even by their own gov, a monk that he used to visit, haters in general, the industry regarding military services) and all these years he held it all in in the deepest parts of him (his groin) and he had to let it out. And you are absolutely correct, Come Back to Me does have a completely different texture. It's actually the last track on the album. The rest of the tracks have this sort of chaotic, frantic or unsettled feel - very much all of the emotions he's been holding back - and CBTM is the resolution of all of that. The reconnection to himself to his ME.

In LOST RM pops up as different people. They are all RM because we are in RMs brain we are meant to feel uncomfortable laugh and think. And think some more. Enjoy the interesting musical soundscape and think about what RM is saying about all these different sides of him that he left behind and used on his climb from the underground. That he needs.

I've written before and maintain in a world of bland homogeneous pop. RM makes you stop and think. Its strangely addictive and after a 4th or 5th listen... its a favourite. In a world of fast fashion and fast pop designed more for the fast buck than art. RM is that rare breed. A successful artist with alot to lose who just wants to make music. He trusts that his fans are not stupid and will enjoy complex ideas, interesting sound scapes and music designed to provoke your own imagination not be disposable brain dead junk.

He released a whole album a few days ago, the 3 songs you already listened are the ones that have a music video. I think everyone was a little bit surprised by the alternative genre, even tho we knew he listens to this kind of music and he told us more or less that this is comming. About the angry side of RM, even as BTS they have Cypher 1-4 (4 songs), and many solo songs from the rappers where they put into music the frustration and anger they felt, and really just express that side of them too. He has songs with explicit words and that surprises many people that started with listening to a few BTS songs and then suddenly see something else. Even BTS as a group had so many eras, the vibe changed over time, so you will have so much to discover. I think other people had mentioned, that a way to follow their growth is to start from the beginning, just that for that you would need a lot of patience and time cause there are hundreds of songs 😂. So just do however you feel like doing, and you will slowly discover how multi-faceted artists these guys are, going solo and even as a group. You feel like a very open minded person, so I know you will get it. They are very honest people, from sharing a lot of emotion with the fans, being voulnerable, crying in a concert or a live with the fans, to being angry and tell people to basically f**k off , because they were attacked so so many times without doing nothing. I feel I can talk about them for a few days here so I'm sorry for a very long message, but at the end I wanna tell you I like your excitement and it also made me excited to see you discovering more about this guys, I already feel you will be surprised many times but also you will love it.😁

I feel like we all have this dichotomy within us. There's the way that we try to be to portray the best of ourselves to others. And then there's the times that we just feel like telling people off, lol. Especially if you had the weight on your shoulders that RM has had, being the poetic, wise, comforting spokesperson for BTS. Sure he's that, but also this. BTS has always been about authenticity, so he might as well show us all this side of him in his music. Once you've listened to Cyphers 1-4, you'll see that this side has always been there. 💜

Lost: The key is in the sign at the beginning "RM's brain" so everything is chaotic and the people who accompany him are parts of him (The actors have so far confirmed anxiety and confidence) Groin: The group, but especially Namjoon, have always been subjected to a lot of pressure and absurd criticism (The man can't even share a song without getting stupid criticism) and this album is a kind of catharsis of that anger and frustration. The group and solo discography is very extensive, if you want more songs with this theme I recommend the cyphers (there are 4) where they address their haters Finally, I recommend this video where Namjoon talks about the creation of the album. @shockofthenew no kidding. This album is very representative of early RM, which means he was this way all along and just felt muzzled along the way. Good for him for breaking free. Army would much rather have him be himself than forced into an unwanted diplomat role. Although I must say, he does have the skills to be an excellent diplomat should ever he want that, but as a true artist that is not his dream. Too confining.

This album and this song in particular groin is 10 years bullying and over analyzing and criticizing and just be hated on and everybody holding him to impossible standard as the leader of the most famous group in the world. This is 10 years o1f turning the other cheek and telling Army don't worry about it don't think about it don't respond to it. Of biting his tongue and just changing the subject never getting to say what he wants to say. This is so different but as Army it feels like finally! This is all for the bravest shit that anyone could ever do because given what he's supposed to represent this very well could have been a career ending choice. But despite all that because he truly lives the message that he gives to the world he still put it out he is true to himself and that is epic in my opinion

Se você acha Groin agressiva, você devia ouvir Daechwita, Agust D e Haegeum do SUGA (sob o pseudônimo Agust D que ele usa pra lançar coisas solo), More, What If e Stop do J-Hope e do próprio Joon temos Monster, Fire, Joke, Do You… Amoooooo eles soltando fogo pelas ventas

The point of this album is RM showing all his sides. He is not just “BTS “. He is complex, contradictory as any human being can be. Each member is showing this in their individual projects. And in a certain way they are once more breaking the stereotypes that IDOLS must be perfect , idealization to their fans. No way, they are whole. J-Hope also showed a raw side contradictory to his “ sunny”side.

Since you talked about connections of the songs you need to listen to the whole album top to the bottom. You will get it once you do. Even though you will not record it and do it by yourself but just do it.
