I just watched Jin get released on Dispatch. I nearly cried seeing them hugging and greeting Jin. One out and free. Six more to go. It's slowly happening. We are getting them back!!!

@@Jana_7 LOL, I didn't even noticed that it was Dynamite😂! It was so random and I was sleepy so it went over my head because I was too busy laughing at this crackhead energy. It was almost offensive when Jin was saying that he looks bad because he was crying while still looking perfect as always - like, sir, sergeant Kim, you still look better than all of us🤦‍♀️. I'm so happy that we're starting to get them back and that we won't have to worry about their military service ever again.

❣️Jimin’s solo performance, wearing a modernized hanbok just fastened by ties only, had many different dance elements in it! Including the barrel leaps taken from Korean dance elements, some martial arts elements, (trained for 8 yrs in various forms w/blackbelt in Taekwondo), & of course contemporary dance. Also, equally ever so stunningly outstanding, was Jimin's scarf work, which is alone so hard to master, without getting that ever so thin veil of a scarf all tangled! Jimin somehow was able to make the scarf one with himself, using it as an extension, even at one point when he did that amazing jump leap straight up the scarf becoming his wings!! Jimin's whole performance was so amazingly stunningly beautiful. Just so effortlessly breathtakingly mesmerizing to see!! Though the other members did a version of their solo performances for benefit of the live audiences, for the broadcast version as seen here, viewer see the prerecorded version, that was prerecorded the day before, since especially JK’s performance in water with that heavy tank that weighed a ton wouldn’t be able to maneuver for live audience, as well as some of the other effects seen like for Mikrokosmos, also the part with the horses was obviously prerecorded as a safeguard for the horses. It also gave a chance for BTS come up for air as well as give them time to change. Jimin was the only one who didn’t have the benefit of prerecorded VCR, which meant that for his solo performance by the broadcasted version, viewers saw Jimin perform live only. While the broadcast version showed for rest of members the prerecorded version. But once again the live audience did get an opportunity to see BTS members do a version of their solos. 🙏❤️‍🔥🔥😍✨💫

Plus 2019 was meant to be a sort of "goodbye for now" year for them (which is also one of the reasons they went absolutely all out on the award shows) as they were going to enlist but the pandemic spoiled their plans. And then they just exploded worldwide..... I think it was quite a bittersweet time for them and V tends to wear his emotions on his sleeves when he's on the stage (love that about him). 💜

@@AlteredChatnot sure why this person only told you about V. The whole group suffered at the time. JK and V seemed to have an especially hard time. Suga sent them both a long text and ended it with saying he loved them. Both were unusually from Suga.

In Mikrokosmos, it's a combination of pre-recording, live effects and postproduction. (This is also how they do all the costume changes.)

This performance never gets old, BTS is the real living legend, 7 amazing talents, 7 hard workers, 7 humble kindhearted persons walk together amazingly in harmony, so just lucky we are to live in the same era to see them 💜

Don't be confused it's live, the stadium is completely filled with their fans aka the army! The lights are behind them .

They don't have musical projects, but they allways do such great productions in award shows. You should check also MMA 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, and most of all their performances at Grammy's. Their style is unique! I'm a music lover, l'm so older than you, and l've never seen something as similar as their performances! Lately, most of kpop groups are doing great shows at different award shows, but BTS are one of the kind! 💜💜💜

The finger gun goes back to their early days. And every Kpop group needs a snappy group greeting, so they used the flipped finger gun to show they're seven guys, like "Hello! We're Bangtan Sonyeontan." You can find their old greeting on YT.

In Boy with Luv, the camera usually focuses on JK's hand because he switches that gesture for the ASL gesture meaning Love. Because this is broadcast they just focused on V's hand (who doesn't switch). This has to do with JK's tattoos. They don't broadcast tattoos in Korea (has to do with gangs) and most performers with tattoos wear makeup or some kind of cover up for their tats. Incidentally, that's why JK kisses his hand in Butter. He kisses the hand that has the ARMY tattoo.

This performance took 3 months to put together. This was supposed to be one of their last Korean award show performances before going on tour and enlisting in the military, that's why this production was so huge. But then the pandemic happened and all their plans changed. The entire world tour was canceled and BTS decided to delay their enlistment. They performed at the MMA 2020's too but everything was virtual due to covid, so no in person audience. Plus Suga was recovering from shoulder surgery at the time so he was unable to perform.

The way you enjoy and appreciate the live performances is just such a serotonin boost for me, idk how else to explain it. As an ARMY watching you react to their live performances and appreciating them makes me so happy and proud tbh. And this video just made my day so much better 💜

To think how far these 7 stars have come - from handing out promo on the streets to come hear them free of charge - to show producers canceling their performance, and they had to beg to perform for ARMY fans - to this star production performance of multiple award winning songs, thrilling the audience with superb choreo/vocal/rap. They deserve this recognition !! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤

If you watch the video about the hardships they went through, you can understand why ARMY is so protective of BTS. love them. Respect them for never giving up. Although 2018 was a hard year for them. They were tired, 5 years in a stream of hardwork, no vacation and some of them suffering from burnout. At the award ceremony they cried a lot. 8 awards .

The part with the horses was pre-recorded. There was no loud music or sound around them. Yes, there are a few bits that are pre-recorded, but I don’t think about it. I prefer to believe BTS are magical and have the stamina of 10,000 men. Their stage tricks are legendary, and I prefer to think they are real. 😊

True. No animals were harmed during the prerecorded filming of the horses. The only ones hurt. BTS. They required oxygen and ice packs afterward. Ha. A note about their physical condition. Dancers are among the best athletes in the world. When they do a concert it's like running several marathons for them. Here is something interesting. In the military many of the members were awarded the best soldier in their platoon for their physical prowess. They won 1st place. From the top military Jin won the Best of the Best of all the soldiers on base!! The most exemplary soldier! That shows you how fit they are!!!

Hi! So the stadium is huge because it is a KPop award show, so they have to fit presenters, other Kpop groups, and fans. This award show is usually towards the end of the year, but yes BTS was really busy before this, an album release for the year and shows. You have to really admire their hard work. So you are correct, Dionysus is Greek, God of Wine and festivities and if you notice the lights coming down after each member's part - that represents other Greek Gods that are represented by the members. V=Apollo - God of the Sun, Jin = Ares, God of War, Jimin=Artemis - God of the Moon, Jk = Poseidon, God of the Sea, JHope = Zeus - God of Thunder, Suga - Haphaestus - God of Fire, and finally RM=Dionysus. The background music were snippets from their song in their current album at that time. MM2019 was the last time BTS performed all out at an award show. In 2020 - covid times - they did a great show as well, but not as grand of course and pre-recorded. You saw V being sad - well he was going through burn out and depression so you can see it showing in some videos. But he is in a better place now. the song Blue and Grey, which he wrote reflects his feelings at that time. Sorry you weren't able to record your reaction to Dionysus - I felt so tired for them after!

The lights also form the crown that Dionysus threw into the heavens on his wedding day. This is the constellation Corona Borealis that's seen in the Northern Hemisphere of the night sky. Fun Fact last month if you were lucky enough and the sky was clear (no Cloud cover) you might have seen within that constellation a star exploding that exploded 1000's of years ago but we are just seen it 'explode' last month due how long the speed of light takes to come that vast distance for us to see it with the naked eye.

It was an amazing performance! I saw this after a month since l knew BTS and l knew l was on the right path! I was so proud of them and myself for being part of the Army! They deserve all the awards they get and more, because they worked so hard to be so disciplined on stage, to sound so good and to make a show like this and like all unique and amazing concerts they have performed! You save to appreciate the effort they make to dance and sing like this, they really love what they do! All their work show also the respect they have for their audience and for Army! 35:49 You're right; the amount of focus & discipline required to not only take on that workload, but do it with such skill is nearly unimaginable. Now, imagine that they rehearsed for their tour + the MMAs + the MAMAs + Dick Clark's New Years Eve show in Times Square + I don't remember how many other award shows & year-end music showcases. Then, picture doing that with no more than about a week or two off at a time, for nine straight years. Military service is the closest thing they've had to a real break since they became trainees as teenagers.

You made me LOL. Yes, you get it! They were just finished with the tour but all the award shows happen at the end of the year and they need different performances for each one! They perform this at the MMA's. (definitely the most extravagant). Then they perform twice for the MAMAs - once in Hong Kong and once in Japan.(these 2 within days of each other and entirely diff performances) And on top of everything else, they don't get PAID for this. This is an award show, not a concert. Can you even imagine how much it cost the company?

Finally you've reacted to this🎉🎉🎉🎉 U know the funniest part is the whole thing felt like a concert rather than a award show performance. The award show actually banded fans from showing up with light sticks (it's unique to every group and fandom, it's those lights that the audiences are holding) because last time when ᗷTS performed in that award show, it felt like a concert because there were so many ARMY'S in the audience. And BTS knew about the band, yet V asked the fans to raise their light sticks when receiving awards😂

❣️This was from the annual Melon Music Awards, a Korean award show the equivalent to the Billboard Awards. BTS swept the awards, thus closed the award show, though many other artists did indeed perform beforehand. The cost of the production for BTS entertainment company BigHit, was over 500K dollars, and all the in-house production team of BigHit started planning it over half a yr beforehand! Also most of the rehearsal time that BTS had, was while they were touring worldwide. But they all were quite into doing this, and somehow managed to fit in the rehearsal like they did the yr before. The only one who performed live only, without benefit of VCR being shown, for the broadcasted version, was Jimin, who shows here being the phenomenal, outstanding, ever so breathtakingly amazing professional dancer he is, which he was even before joining BTS. His performance was beyond mesmerizing, so poised & elegant of a dancer. With the exception of Jimin, all the other solo performances were prerecorded live, with smaller audience the day before, since there was no way to have these stage sets and tank pool of water let alone have JK who was performing the dance in water get dried and change clothes beforehand! Although, all the members performed a live version of their solo dance, for the live audience, while the VCR was playing the prerecorded version that the broadcast, & or online audience saw. Also certain songs like Mikrokosmos were performed live beforehand, as well, so they could also allow for the special effects that only people who saw the broadcast on TV in South Korea or had it stream worldwide could see that version. Also the part with the live horses was filmed beforehand without an audience. 👍🙏❤️‍🔥😍🔥💫✨

Yes. Yes. We want BTS to perform at the Super Bowl. And you are correct. This epic performance is just as good as any major world event performance. And you are correct. They had to rehearse this entirely different show along with their regular schedule. You won't be surprised that it took months of preparation to pull this off perfectly!! And I'm a choreographer. I look for mistakes. After I first discovered them...I watched BTS content every day. Still do. But I never saw a mistake until 6 months of watching. Not kidding! They are that good. FYI. To date, Dionysis was their most difficult and challenging choreography! It was a long number. They're jumping all over the sets. And to remember each movement perfectly...especially the choreography sitting down was mesmerizing!

I guess you're missing my point. BTS has 7 members, so this would only give each member less than 2 minutes each of actual airtime to perform their part(s)!!!! That's virtually impossible to put in a show worthy of their immense talent. BTS needs a full 2-3 hour concert performance the day before at the Super Bowl arena! Anything else is insulting to BTS! Hey, just my opinion. 😅😂😂😂😂😂😂

This entire singing performance was LIVE!!!!!! Some of the pre RM segment was recorded, but all their songs were performed live. What many forget or do not realize, their 2019 MMA and MAMA performances were to be their last, that's why this was so big and extravagant!!!!! 1) they were preparing for their massive world tour April 2020 through August 2020 and 2) their military enlistments were to begin fall/winter 2020!!!!!! But COVID-19 hit, global shutdown and their tour cancelled and they felt enlistment wasnt safe!!! Then the South Korean president asked them to become special envoys/representatives and approved their delay for their military service!!!! After completing this obligation, they decided to work in their solo works after also working on many BTS songs - Dynamite, Butter, Life Goes On, etc.

This was a very important performance. The reason for it was that it was the first time in MMA's history when anyone got the "daesang sweep" (getting all 4 grand prizes in the one show). It's a trip through their career as a group and as artists. The location was Gocheok Sky Dome if I remember correctly. They start with showing their Shadow in an intro with Persona after, basically saying that they might still not know who they are exactly but it's the face that they show to the world. Both Persona and Shadow are terms from Jungian theory of psychoanalysis, which is an inspiration for them in many songs and albums. Boy In Luv & Boy With Luv show their growth as an artists. The gesture in the end is a gun, they were doing it often in the beginning - it refers to the word "bangtan" (bulletproof), it's also a "7" upside down. Mikrokosmos is a reference to the fact that ARMYs are a big part of their success. The finale is super special and is much deeper than just "Greek vibes". Their intros are referring to the Greek gods. V is Apollo, Jin is Athena, Jimin is Artemis (Apollo's twin, fitting for the '95-liners), Suga is Hephaestus, Jungkook is Poseidon, J-hope is Zeus and RM is Dionysus. They are entering to their singles in chronological order and the lights above them symbolize their ascension into the pantheon as the "gods of music" (stroking their egos, thus hitting the Jungian trifecta). The lights also create Corona Borealis - a constellation which symbolizes the crown of Dionysus' wife in Greek mythology. Dionysus itself is a very beautiful and well-written song (I would suggest that you check the lyrics on the Doolset Bangtan website because it has the best translations). Dionysus is a god that BTS' members relate to very much. He was the god of art and wine, often looked down by many other gods because he was "just" a demigod (just as they were looked down by others at the beginning) but ended being one of the most beloved gods by ancient Greeks. The song is about being drunk on art, and how they were born as an idol group but were reborn as artists - similar to Dionysus, who was born twice. PS. It may be a case of "false friends" between English and Portuguese but a "presentation" doesn't mean "performance", it means something entirely different in English. Just a friendly reminder, because you were saying that a lot in this reaction💜.

I just found you just now. I had to watch you watch this epic performance. Dionysis was the g.o.d. of food and wine and excess and enjoyment and theatre and insane rituals. And more. BTS portrayed it well. It was fun seeing your eyes light up each time you observed something unbelievable. I didn't even check your channel out yet to see how much you know about BTS. Just know they are #1 in the world. Jin, the oldest, was released from his military duty today. He served 18 months. The others went in at staggering times. They should all be out by the end of 2025. Then you will see the guys regroup and start "Chapter 2" of BTS. Also. It's Festa time. A celebration of their 11th anniversary. Check out activities online. Yes there were some prerecorded parts, like the beginning of Persona (RM) and Microkosmos. They performed those parts again live on the awards show but for television purposes what they broadcasted was the prerecorded version of those parts, where they could post-edit like you noticed. I think the prerecording was also made with public, most likely in the same day (not sure about this). I'm amazed by the things you notice, for example V. This was 2019, and the previous year had been a very difficult year for them, they got very big and succesful but the pressure was also very big, they could not take time off at all and many of them were in burnout, V maybe more than other members. It was that bad that they considered disbanding, but they talked together and decided that this was worth it, and with some time off and supporting eachother they got through it. We know this because they told us while receiving an award at Mama 2018, after they were a lot better. I don't know if V here was totally recovered, bit it can also be the pressure of this performance, that was not easy for sure. If you watch them in concerts, they show a lot more emotion and you can see the happiness in each of them honestly. Also you can find the speech I mentioned if you type BTS Mama 2018 speech. It is very emotional but you can see how much honesty is involved and how much they choose to share with their fans.

Acho que vc logo vai precisar separar um dia para assistir "The Rise of Bangtan" que são episódios de um documentário feito por fãs e conta toda a trajetória dos meninos desde o início e é espetacular. Hi Caio😊 You are right, there were pre recorded portions, and you have picked out the first two, Persona and Mikrokosmos. Also, all of the solo spots, except Jimin's!, which was live (and so, so beautiful, eh?). Then the portion with the horses, so as not to freak them out. This is the most epic performance! OK, just cuz you said it, now you gotta watch JungKook's opening for the FIFA world cup in 2022! Dreamers. I'm sure you'll have great appreciation for it. There's a live, an MV, and a behind the scenes, which are all very well worth the watch😊 Whoa! That ending was a shock, but we know what you saw, and I'm sure you were as impressed as the rest of us💜

Just to clarify for those reading, on this particular video we are seeing the prerecorded intros for all the members except Jimin who chose to broadcast his live performance. However, they did all also perform their solo intros live. (Except Jungkook who couldn't because of the water. But even he sort of danced to the side during that part.)

The boys don’t sleep, well yeah almost. We just found out that after they hit no.1 in billboard 100 for dynamite, they practice their dance routine for a show. They’re all prefectionist, that’s is why they themselves worked really hard to get where they are at right now. This went for 10 freaking years.

In all their solo dances they used pieces of their songs!

Fun fact : In the opening video sequence when they were all supposedly 'sleeping', Tae actually did fall asleep hahaha... there's a behind the scenes of it... Hobi and JK just left him for a short while to sleep, they didn't wake him up straight away.... I'm surprised with how hard they all work that they didn't all doze off as soon as they sat down...

Во время выступления bangtan я забываю, что это, вообще-то, церемония награждения, а не их собственный концерт (но кого волнует такая незначительная мелочь?!😉). До того, как я узнала, что парни закрывали церемонию, мне было очень жаль гипотетические другие группы - как выступать после такого-то?! Как уже многие написали, некоторые части представления были записаны заранее и показывались на экране, чтобы ребята могли подготовится к основному выступлению. Но вот Jimin, например, танцевал на сцене вживую, несмотря на то, что запись у него тоже была, он решил, что она недостаточно хороша. ☺️ Я обожаю этих милых перфекционистов!🥰

RM rapping in the beginning was live also a stage/music producer explained that the rainbow effects can be done live, you have to move the camera lense in a specific way

Not only did they have to prepare for this amazing performance, they also had the MAMA awards during the same time period. It was a completely different performance.

You must have seen the opening ceremony of the last World Cup in Qatar then, Jungkook singing the song Dreamers. You should see the behind the scenes for that, and hear what JK said about doing it on his own. You must have been disappointed to lose the end of your recording, I hope you enjoyed the Dionysus song and allowed RM to get you all "hyped up". The energy is just amazing in that last number.

Starting 2018, MMA and MAMA were held in stadium and more than 60% of the crowd are ARMY who most of them were coming from all other parts of the world. Oh céus, ouvir você falar sobre o Tae me contou em pedaços ao lembrar o que ele estaria prestes a passar em 2020. Foi de fato uma época difícil. Ver seus últimos vídeos e lives antes e depois de seu alistamento de fato deixa nós armys de coração quentinho. Ver ele feliz de novo foi uma coisa surreal. Mikrokosmo a is performed live (not lip sync) in polaroid though and this is to give them time for a costume change. Only BTS has done that and the did again during their shows in the pandemic where Suga joined them through a polaroid because he was under operation. Dionysus is the god of wine, merriment, pleasure in Greek mythology, the most colorful god in Greek Mythology.

Oi Caio. Importante dizer que alem do Burnout que foi mencionado, o V é conhecido pela personalidade no palco onde ele sempre tem alguma expressão facial que chama atenção. A personalidade dele é alegre na verdade e ele adora fazer amigos e faz muito fácil inclusive, pois ele é muito gentil fora do palco. Mas no palco, as vezes, é como se ele assumisse uma personalidade de bad boy hahaha mais ou menos isso. Isso não é só ele, os traines no kpop passam por um treinamento de personalidade e expressões faciais para que seja impecavel no palco, se for necesário fazer uma expressão fofa ou sexy, eles sabem o que fazer para que na foto saia perfeito sem caretas estranhas. Também para que se destaquem com algum tipo de estilo de palco, o Jimin por exemplo, é conhecido pelas apresentações sexy e fofas ao mesmo tempo, como uma "dualidade". O Tae sempre tem as expressões certas de acordo com o julgamento dele mesmo kkkk ele costuma fazer expressões que as pessoas julguem sexy, e etraente de alguma forma, até mastigando um chiclete imaginário igual a um malandro de 1990 kkkkk. Mas claro que em outros momentos vc vai ver ele sorrir e fazer brincadeiras bobas no palco pois ele tem um coração de menino e é uma pessoa muito carinhosa e doce. Por causa do burnout, ele não pode aproveitar o trabalho que ele ama, que é estar se apresentando, ele mesmo disse. Nenhum dos meninos trocaria essa vida por nada até o momento, era só a pressão, horarios, falta de liberdade, falta de tempo pra lazer, não poder sair para um café sem ser gravado, não poder ter relacionamentos tranquilamente, consequencias da fama, sabe? O V escreveu uma musica sobre como ele se sentia, o nome dela é blue and gray

Tentando responder conforme eu vou assistindo: A parte inicial do RM: ele estava em um cenário atrás do palco, acredito q foi gravado antes essa parte. Mikrokosmos: é pós produção mesmo, a apresentação foi gravada antes e os efeitos colocados depois. O público está vendo pelo telão. Sobre o V: foi parte o burnout dele mas tb é a persona dele no palco ser mais "sexy" e com expressões sérias (não é falsidade dele, é a persona no palco). As apresentações individuais: vc falou Egito ou Grécia e é realmente Grécia! Cada um deles está representando um deus grego! (eu q amo Grécia tenho paixão por essa apresentação). A parte dos cavalos foi gravada antes, para não assustar os animais com o público. Tb a parte do Jungkook na água já q ele se molhou todo rs Q pena q a última música vc não pode mostrar pra gente a reação! Eu tava bem ansiosa rs Mas essas coisas acontecem! O BTS tem essas grandes apresentações. Os grupos não tem tanto tempo de palco quanto eles pois ele são considerados o suprassumo do kpop (e até é dito q eles são BEM maiores do q isso). Eles tem um conceito muito interessante chamando "BTS Universe" ou BU. É uma história q foi desenvolvida em certas músicas de certos álbuns de 2015 a 2018 (ou até 2019 eu não lembro). É um conceito BEM legal, se vc quiser começar a ver, recomendo o mv I Need U. Existe toda uma trajetória pra vc entender a história mas se estiver disposto, o ARMY te guia (e a gente se perde e não sabe detalhes até hj, é muito bem construído). Obg pela reação!

Finger gun is for bts greeting and they use it a lot in other things and other ways - like the end of boy in love and beginning and end of boy with love. They are bulletproof boyscouts so it represents the gun. It also makes a 7 which has been a pretty important number for them. It probably has a few meanings but it originated from their greeting.
