BRAZILIAN FIRM TO BUILD US$190M LINDEN TO MABURA ROAD WITH CDB’S APPROVAL
One of the most historic transport infrastructural projects to be undertaken in Guyana is the construction of the Linden to Mabura road. Months after the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) recommitted its support for the project, the contract was finally awarded to a Brazilian firm, Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh announced. The US$190 million project is also the largest to be funded by the CDB.

Great news ! We have been isolated from our neighbours for far too long. We are part of South America and anyone who doesn't like that can always move to a small island.

Totally agree with you
nice. but there should also be a road in the hinterland linking Kamarang to Kurupung which is a distance of 40 miles that would actually caused food stuff reaching the indigenous communities cheaper than bringing it by plane from Ogle. This road would be more useful than the 162 KM/100 mile Amaila road which Flip Mootilall made that people hardly uses.we very much need a road to help reduce cost of living in the upper mazaruni villages.
YES! Keep building those roads!
GREAT GUYANA 🇬🇾
Before the government build road. they should make train line and put train from georgetown to lethem .
Should have been built a long time ago but nevertheless it's most welcoming news..when them starting??
The roadway should be elevated in areas prone to flooding.
When will this project start?
good for the gov not to use the cheapest ie a chinese company, we need not use the cheapest but the best internationally, with experience like japenese, korean,German, american English etc
Why two lanes. A major road link like this should be at least six to eight lanes
