You are so wrong ! Volleyball is a team sport, you can’t win 22 games with one player . For Vargas to make those killer shots , she needs highly skilled setters and libero and also middle blockers to get those killer shots. Setters will pass the ball in perfect position for Vargas to go full potential, libero will defend opposite team’s attacks in the back court so hit can be save from their hitters and middle blockers will be the first defense to stop the opposite team’s attacks . All these three positions will give opportunity for opposite spiker which is Vargas , to shine . Therefore , this idea of Turkey won because of Vargas is nothing but BS. Vargas is an excellent player no doubt , team and the couch aware of that so as fans. The reason Turkey team is so good because they don’t have a mentality as you you , which is one player will get the medal , one player will carry the whole team . Even American commentators made the comment during USA Turkiye match which is “ it must be amazing to play in Turkish team , no players have pressure to do it all , it’s not just Vargas , Karakurt , it’s all of them from middle to setter , they got it all ! “
