Just noticed Brazil should have had a spotter in the first half for handball,instead bizarrely given a free kick inside the penalty box,that was very baffling.

Soviet Union should have had 1 penalty not 2,the first incident was just 2 players getting tangled. Brazil 82 = simply magnificent,best ever. Amen

The Soviets had Brazil in real trouble here for a large part of the game and lost because of the heat in the last 15 minutes but should have had two penalties.

Leão deveria ser o titular mas nem convocado foi. Dinamite foi convocado mas não entrou em nenhum jogo. Reinaldo ficou no Brasil. Nunes ficou no Brasil. Tele era paneleiro.

Luizinho fez um penalty quando estava 0-0 e depois no segundo tempo deu "condição de jogo" num impedimento mandrake que o bandeira deu anulando gol da URSS hein

It was an absolute mystery how Serginho made to Santana's top 11 among 150 million Brazilians at the time. He would be sitting on the bench even at my village sixth division team, begging to get last ten minutes of the game. Btw, that was clear penalty on Shengelia, but the referee was obviously mesmerised with the weight of Brasilian tradition and magic touches of greatest midfield duo Socrates-Zico

Santana would have been better off playing the Flamengo centre-forward Nunes who had a good understanding with Zico. In fact he might also have dropped Cerezo and Eder and played Tita and Lico from Flamengo on the flanks in a midfield five with Nunes as the spearhead. As Intercontinental champions along with Leandro and Junior their understanding might have got them through to the final.
