Спорт
Watch Braydon Bringhurst’s feature-length film “8600FT” above, documenting his climb of the iconic "Whole Enchilada'' trail in Moab, Utah.
“The Whole Enchilada” is one of mountain biking’s most epic trails - attracting expert-level riders from around the globe to Moab, Utah, to challenge its 8000-plus feet of descending over rugged and raw terrain littered with rock drops and boulder fields. But no one has ever tried to ride up every inch of the trail - until now.
Equally mentally challenging as physical, “8600FT” is a 1.5-hour feature-length film of Braydon Bringhurst’s attempt to summit "The Whole Enchilada."
To learn more about Braydon's mental and physical preparation for the climb read Bicycling Magazine's feature by documentary writer and NYT best selling author Kim Cross, who reveals the physiological training and Jedi mind tricks that made it possible, visit www.bicycling.com/rides/a4182...

Braydon understandably and deservedly gets most of the praise - but Nicole (his wife) directed and edited. She did a masterful job because the quality of the story is effortless. Her work seems invisible - which is a big part of what makes this movie so brilliant.

Does it though? When someone’s job, their livelihood, they way they pay for their family is to ride bikes and make videos, and they have spent their entire life able to focus fully on athletic performance, surrounded by the best coaches in all possible fields and sponsored to do this, it is considerably less “hard” or inspiring. Inspiration is when the ordinary creates the extraordinary. It’s a Michelin starred meal made on a camp fire using spam and a bread stick, not fifty chefs having access to the worlds finest ingredients in a specially built climate controlled kitchen.

I'd say it's way closer to Tommy Caldwell's Dawn Wall project.
At first I was thinking, "that's kinda interesting", but the way that every component of the story was shown, and the process was detailed made this captivating and inspiring. Free Solo of MTB. Well done Braydon and Canyon!
You're an inspiration, Braydon! Thank you for opening yourself up and taking us along your journey of attempting such an unimaginable challenge.
This video is literally the most amazing challenge that I would have never thought to be possible. I can’t even put it into words how amazing this accomplishment is. I’ve seen The Snotch in real life and If you told me that someone rode up it I don’t know if I would have believed you. Braydon you are such an inspiration!
I’m 55. Used to do 24 hr solo Mtb racing along with lots of other extreme sports. I’ve ridden DOWN the Enchilada twice so I know what you accomplished. Truly one of the most insane feats I’ve ever seen. Good on ya! Thanks for the inspiration!!! I watched this from my couch while nursing a double leg break in a motocross accident. Found myself pedalling my broken leg while watching you grind lol. A much needed uplift, you changed me today and for that I thank you immensely!
Writing from the perspective of a stay at home parent to an amazing spouse, I give his wife huge kudos to be the partner that enables her husband to go out an accomplish big things that are very visible to the world. She's doing big things are that mostly invisible to the world but are just as challenging and perhaps even more important. "Well done!" to both of you. And to Canyon bikes, thanks for including her and the children in this video because they are a part of his team as well.
One of the best motivational mtb videos ever. Much love and respect goes out to Braydon and his crew for making this trek for all to enjoy and take to heart. Thank you Canyon for supporting them through this journey. Always keep your head up and keep pushing. God Speed and Fair Winds.
Watched the whole thing, the Whole Enchilada, and still working to accept that he did this. 2 hours ago this feat was beyond comprehension. Incredible! A true Mountain Biking Hardman. So inspiring to so many!
Having ridden the Whole Enchilada many times down I often wondered how ridiculously hard it would be to go up. I am now recovering from cranial surgery, and not able to ride at all. Your journey and accomplishment are so inspiring. It is a great reminder that the mountain in front of me can be climbed. Just focus on each individual challenge as it comes and if it takes 50 attempts that is what it takes. I will be back riding for sure, on the Whole Enchilada again… and no, it will not be up. Thanks, Braydon and Nicole for sharing this story.

Hey Zack, use the film for motivation and dare to dream what YOU are capable of. I suffered a life altering brain injury (downhill mountain biking) 6 years ago. At first I could not walk 100 yards, 3 years in I still couldnt drive more than 10 minutes from visual overload. Almost 6 years later, I still need to rest 2-4 times a day due to overstimulation. But after 2162 days or 2132 consecutive days of DAILY physio, I am able to mountain bike again (on an bike but hell who cares!!). Not super far and nothing crazy, but its been a friggin dream I never gave up on. I can't imagine how challenging, recovery from cranial surgery is, but you will find a little piece deep inside yourself, a part that has mental strength you never thought humanly possible. Hang on to that part and make sure that part of you comes out a little each day and you will have your Whole Enchilada! Giver diesel!

The most beautiful mtb film I've ever seen.
I've ridden down the Whole Enchilada four times. Not once could I clean everything, and theres many spots I wouldn't even attempt. Walking a few spots scared me. This is a supreme effort.
At the outset, I didn't think I would last the whole hour and a half. It was captivating right from the start.......a true testament to the writing and editing of this film. Of course, it couldn't have happened without Braydon's raw courage, stamina and unrelenting mental toughness. He could not have done this without the support of his family and many close friends to give him the support to see this through. This event will be talked about for a long time to come, until someone outdoes it. When you hold the record, it is just a matter of time before someone beats it. Thanks for this inspiring documentary..........
Braydon is such an inspiration. This is my second time watching the film and I still have the same amount of stoke as the first time. Never been so stoked to see someone climb a bike, I’ve always been a downhill rider but this film is something special. Thank you Braydon for putting this out there and being such an inspiration!
I’m speechless. I’ve never seen anything like this before in terms of dedication, self discipline, and resilience. Watching this simply makes me want to try harder in every thing I do big or small, and NEVER even consider quitting. My gratitude to all involved.
I remember bombing down Porcupine Rim a few years ago on a single track Litespeed with one inch of rear travel. the bursas in both wrists got all messed up for months from the impact. I passed people going the wrong direction and realized how much of a wimp I was. Excellent work doing this and getting it on film! Truly pinnacle athleticism, and great to see the right combination of family, friend, expert, and medical support!
The most impressive thing about this is that he did it on a canyon bike. No, seriously though, Braydon is amazing, and I was so glad he mentioned his mission. What a great film! So inspirational!!

For decades I've always loved the challenge of climbing on an MTB, never too fussed about downhill shredding. I was so chuffed to find this video of a superior athlete who not only loves MTB climbs but is arguably one of the world's best at it. Braydon is like Nino Schurter, on a level far above pretty well everyone. Reminds me of Alex Honnold in his pursuit, psychology and athletics. High five also to the producer of the video, brilliantly done
I've ridden up from hazard to the snow and at that elevation it's so much harder than it looks. That top part took a super human effort. Way to go Braydon. Epic in every way.
It was a pleasure hosting the big screen premier here in Moab and now everyone else can enjoy watching your truly inspiring ride!
As an aging Belgian mountain biker, I had the opportunity to ride The Whole Enchilada and the Moab slickrock trails in 2011 after biking the Colorado Trail with El Camino Loco, and riding the BCBR race in 2010. The BCBR guys drew my attention to this stupendous ride : many thanks ! I recognized every single inch of it, and this time in exquisite detail. ENORMOUS respect for this awesome biker ! And great thanks to the camera crew ! Fabulous stuff !
I absolutely love the ride. I've been there and have ridden the downhill and it's epic. The riding uphill aspect of this movie is unreal. Absolutely love it. The challenge, the effort, the grind, the grit, determination, everything. And what sticks out to me most is how good of a guy Braydon Bringhurst is. He's climbing this thing, doing something no one else has, exhausting himself and he's still checking on everyone else. Making sure they're ok, thanking them for being there, for helping, for cheering him on. If you can take one thing away from this, it's how good of a dude he is and how much better could we all be? Hope to meet you some day, Braydon. I've got so much respect for you. Thanks.
Man, I don't write comments at all, but I have to say it... this was truly one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen! Just... wow!
I don’t think I could ride the Snotch down, let alone climb it. Every video I’ve seen convinces me this is a “Must Walk” feature. To see Braydon clean it UPHILL is insane!
That anaerobic power and regeneration. The skill. The mental power. Fuuuuck. That is inspirational.
Great work from his wife and him. Also he is the undoubtably the ultimate GOAT!! 💯💯💯

Braydon is a huge inspiration for me!!! I mountain bike and have been struggling with school just like him when he was in school. I also share having A.D.D. / A.D.H.D. and the problems that come with it. All I can say is THANK YOU!!!
The Snotch is scary going down, most people walk it! I cannot imagine climbing up it. This dude is incredible!
I can relate to this guy. I just started doing Mtb 3 months ago. I’m 34 years old. I’ve been riding with some guys that have been riding for years and they are amazed how quickly I picked it up and how I’m advancing every week rapidly. I’m doing some gnarly technical trails some of them see them as hard and challenging. They are even being pushed by my skills to hit those part of the trails they fear to do. I can only imagine where I will be in a few years.
Braydon's climbing ability is just amazing. His balance, strength and fearless attitude is so inspiring.
What an incredible feat, I'm 82 and this young man's effort, perseverance and dedication taught me a lesson about what it takes to achieve a goal like that if you really want it. My hats off to you, son. There is no doubt that for everyone who watches this, they will find inspiration and hopefully what it takes to accomplish their dream. However, without the support of your Church, family and good friends to have that blessings, I don't think a person can develop the kind of character it takes to do it.
This is incredible. Its the best thing I've seen in a very long time. Huge congratulations to everyone involved!
Grew up skiing with this kid. Saw him 1080 in 2005 (unreal then), 720 a scooter in 2007 out of a bowl, skateboard flips, wakeboard phenom, just absolutely insane!
This story is highly reminiscent of what we go through as rock climbers and finally makes me understand why I've been drawn to mountain biking. The struggle is the journey
This came at a time in my life when I needed it more than I ever could have imagined! It was inspiring, it was true, and it was unfiltered! Thank you for sharing this story because the lessons I take from this will be a part of my story! You're my Evel Knievel!
Absolutely amazing! The story, the dedication and the will power are inspiring. Braydons shear determination is unfathomable. His wife's dedication to her family and her husband is remarkable. Kudos to momma for holding down the fort and allowing Braydon to fulfill his goal.
What a fantastic film / Documentary made by amazing people. I only had it on the background whilst I was wrapping Christmas presents in the UK. I don't know who Braydon is all I was aware of is Moab & The Whole Enchilada trail. But from the start if the film I was impressed with his riding style & his life from an early age. What an amazing athlete and person.
Amazing! I had high expectations for this film when I saw the preview- but this surpassed my expectations in every way!
Amazing accomplishment. I rode down it about 4yrs ago, walked a good portion of the tech. I had my arms raised and tears in my eyes when I saw the burro pass sign. The best part is the friends and family going alongside you for all of that. Congratulations to all involved.
Congratulations on an epic adventure! You and your wife are an incredible team. Incredible for you guys to open your home and lives to the world 👊
Braydon is awesome! Kudos to wifey too for being an anchor and help him with the emotional and psychological help/boost/support.
I did the half enchilada. When I was 37 I rode my 1998 FSR Elite from the river up Porcupine Rim to Sand Flats and back. I’m a better than average technical climber, but this guy is on a whole different level!
It all began with changing one's mindset. Brandon has some serious skills too. I love this film. In inspires, the line choices, the positive mental attitude, the supportive crew, the wifey, it is simply relatable to our everyday in the life but, hold my beer till I'm done, gotta go climb the whole enchilada first. History has just been made! Amazing accomplishment and entertaining to watch. Thank you!!
Thanks you so much. As an old school guy that knows it was always about the climb, you restore faith in an activity that seems much removed from "going back to make it up!" over, and over, and over again. The roots of what trail riding sprang from are documented here. So fkn epic.
Just as he crested the peak, a 65 year old e-biker wearing Wranglers and work boots with no water, finished the same climb. Amazing accomplishment. Beautiful documentary.
Goes to show that even the most exceptionell and strong humans needs support. From wives, mentors, friends and so on. And it does not diminish the extreme effort and performance a bit. Amazing piece of film, love it!
Insane and very impressive. I’m a 47 year old not very skilled rider but at every steep uphill (for me) I will from now on murmur „holy Braydon“ and try it.
I have been looking forward to the release of this film ever since the announcement. It has been an exciting experience being able to watch this and see a display of the potential of the human mind and body. Braydon has inspired me to know and believe the impossible is in fact possible. Seeing Braydon especially overcoming the mental crux of this challenge gives me the drive to push my limits on the bike as well as in life. Thank you for sharing this experience, Braydon.
The steepness and absolute drop of these climbs doesn't really come through in video (as good as the production was). Double everything you see in your mind. I literally had to butt-slide down the snotch carrying my bike (or was it dragging me....). Riding UP it would have seemed absolutely ridiculous if hadn't just seen you do it! But more impressive was your overall attitude and the support of your team to pull together this whole project. Mind blowing. Thanks!

Absolutely amazing, I can't imagine the levels of stress and endurance that everybody went through, friends, families, kids and spouses. That was not something to be marvelled at, it was a feat of human engineering, will and body power but the support in all senses is paramount. Well done Braydon, you have left your kids a legacy that will inspire them and make them eternally proud.
Braydon I don't even know what to say. What an absolutely jaw-dropping feat. Cody was with you the whole way, no doubt. This was so inspiring on so, so many levels. I've descended WE more times than I can count, and while the camera work was stunning and seamless, it still gave NO justice to the sheer size and steepness of some of these features. I still can't comprehend how you got up some of them. Just wow. Mind blown.

Well done, Sir! I’ve done the Ole’ Chilada (that would be the back HALF of the “Whole Enchilada”) and have been on the features that challenged you most. Truly astounding. I didn’t even CONSIDER riding DOWN them… much less UP them. I’m impressed with so many facets of you, this challenge, and your support crew. Well done, indeed. :-)
This is one of the most amazing and inspiring things. The absolute precision both mentally and physically is immense. And aww inspiring kudos to you and your wife and support crew.
I've been to this place a few times and would not even ride down that "Snotch" section, couldn't believe anyone could ever ride up it.. until I saw this. Very very nicely done ! I've ridden up Porcupine Rim a few times, never above the regular Porcupine Rim section (not up to Upper Porcupine Singletrack) and people look at you like you are crazy for just riding up the trail. Obviously, there are a few obsticles I have to walk my bike over, but riding up even those lower obstacles (The "Banger" for example) is beyond amazing.
