The issue is that she speaks HER mind unlike the other sisters (except for Toni sometimes). Trina and Traci always hop on Towanda’s bandwagon and they try to get Toni to agree that whatever conflict was solely Tamar’s fault.

Ms. E is the older version of Tamar and the reason she acts the way she does and that’s why the other sisters deal with it. sAd

Also.......I have 2 children and I will interfere in their arguments when it escalates and they are doing hurtful things to one another, like not speaking to one another. 100% Ms. E’s husband was laying low and spreading wide all through town and she was angry with him. Instead of leaving she stayed and just remained miserable. Her marriage was out of her control and so she exerted that control over her daughters’ lives. It is no coincidence that these women have relinquished so much of their authority over their own lives to the “family.” It’s sad because Ms. E didn’t go to Iyanla for healing, she went to hear what everyone else was doing wrong so she could blame it on Mr. Braxton

Anastasia Octavia I don’t see how people don’t understand that exactly what you said, is what makes Iyanla wrong. You could clearly tell that Tamar and Ms. E weren’t receiving what Iyanla was saying(even though it was the truth) and Tamar even voiced why she wasn’t being able to receive it (right or wrong it was how she felt). Instead of Iyanla being this amazing life coach, and moderator who should be versatile with the techniques she uses on DIFFERENT people she continued with her harsh, give it to them straight, argumentative tactics. Before anyone @s me with the “that’s how Tamar talks to everyone...” I will admit that is true, should she work on that? Yes she should (I believe she has been, I see growth) however, she is not a life coach and doesn’t claim to be one either. That’s why I believe that a life coach should have the gift to communicate with all kinds of people and personalities in order to help them heal. Iyanla’s tactic isn’t reflective of that ability.

From what I can gather, he doesn’t like the whole family being involved in his relationship with Toni. But they are a close family, so that’s to be expected. If he can’t respect that her family loves her enough to check in on her, then it’s not gonna work, you know? Understanding and respect are key points to a lasting relationship.

Even if it was real or not; you cant go from fussing with someone to peachs and cream the next day. You have to rebuild that relationship that got destroyed while they argued and faught. The memories and childhood relationship is still there but the relation now is broken and they have to fix but in due time; because if they just put a bandage over it and act like nothing happen instead of sitting down and continuing working it out, their going to be talking to Dr. Phil in 5 years next.

Traci and Toni are definitely my favored. Traci came such a long way.

Ashanti Zulu I honestly get what Ms. E was saying. It seems Iyanla uses the same tactics on everyone, and though it works for some it doesn’t work for others. Some people are extremely sensitive, and that’s OKAY! However, as a life coach she should know how to approach different people to get her point across and help them heal. When she made the fish comment I feel like that was a great test, and right then she should’ve known Ms. E didn’t respond well to that blatant honesty. She didn’t change the way she approached Ms. E and as a result Ms. E walked away feeling that every time Iyanla opened her mouth about her it was something negative 🤷🏾‍♀️
